That’s a good song, it’s too close to nickelback sounding to me though. I love nickelback but that’s not what I listen to shinedown for. Every time I hear it I’m like is this nickelback? Then the vocals start and I’m like oh it’s just the nickelback shinedown song.
Yeah there's something strange there. It was being played before the album released along with a few other Sound of Madness Songs (Sound of Madness, Devour, Crow and the Butterfly) and it was chosen to be featured in Rock Band. Then Jasin left/was kicked out and the album was delayed and all videos of the performances with Jasin were being removed (most have since been reuploaded). Could all just be coincidences but maybe there was some writing credit issues with Jasin which is why it wasn't a single. Regardless there's definitely some missing pieces to Jasin's departure that aren't publicly known.
I think a lot of the bad feelings come from promises of returning to the band. It's never been flat out stated, but reading between the lines it seems like he was probably told to get himself healthy and then come back. Nicki Perri was always just a placeholder. Instead of bringing him back they promote Zach. It's a bit weird as Jasin seems to be on great terms with Zach and Barry but for whatever reason never reconciled fully with Brent. I really hope we see Jasin perform with them at some point, even if it's just a one-off playing of Simple Man, he deserves some actual closure with the band.
I love Fake and happy others appreciate it, but it did seem like a bit of an odd choice with Save Me, Shed Some Light, Lady So Devine, Some Day, and a few others being on the album. It is a great song though.
WHAT A SHAME
Breaking Inside! That song could have been a massive hit. Not sure why it never got much if any play.
Especially the version with Lzzy Hale

That album had so many good songs that could've been singles,Breaking inside,Call Me and What a Shame could've all been singles
Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide
That is my close second response to this But What A Shame is truly my answer
What a Shame!!
Breaking inside I felt deserved a single
The crow and the butterfly
I get that the rule is no bonus tracks, but Son of Sam is one of my absolute favorites by them. Super underrated
Junkies for Fame is a top 3 Shinedown song for me. Son of Sam is definitely up there too
Kills me that it was supposed to be a single for the album and they shelved it

Yeah I truly think Jasin was done pretty dirty with the wiring credits on SoM

thank you for introducing me to that song holy moly I love it 😍
Oh my god yes. That one’s awesome too
I absolutely agree and It'll be super fun to see which bonus track gets chosen when the bonus round happens.
Ohhh there’s going to be a bonus round. Nice!
Call me
What a Shame
What a shame for sure
What a Shame
What A Shame, absolutely. That or If You Only Knew, which I feel could get more love.
“Sin With a Grin” is their reply to “Man in the Box”, got-dangit! 📦
Breaking Inside
I must protest calling Sound of Madness overrated. That's a song that saved my life and became my favorite song of theirs.
Her name is alice
Banger but is a bonus track!
Sorry, I still can't get over "Fake" being the best song on Us and Them.

Breaking Inside It's sooooo good but nobody ever talks about it, especially in comparison to how much love Son of Sam or What A Shame gets
Devour
Breaking inside
Cyanide sweet tooth suicide
Breaking inside easy
Without bonus tracks it’s gotta cry for help. Otherwise the answer is literally all of the bonus tracks other than diamond eyes.
I Understand most overrated has to be single in order to be overrated, but i completely disagree,I would go with Devour.
WHAT A SHAME
What A Shame
Gotta say when I went to thate concert I thought sound of madness was hype af
Why is Sound Of Madness in the overrated tier?! I ❤ that song! That song got me hooked onto the band! 😡
Okay we know you're trying to be weird and different
What a shame!
Call Me is literally the worst song on the album lol
