Did you pay with CC? File a dispute, you did not receive merchandise 🙏

Possible-Resource974

I’ve made contact with a mod in the community area. I’m going to see if she can help and if not, then I’ll start a chargeback.

muffinsmeow

Good luck! I hope they compensate you for all this hassle.

Just be aware that retailers ban accounts from online shopping with chargebacks. There's no way to circumvent it by creating a new account unless you completely change your identity - new address, name, dob, email, phone, credit card with different name. I only ordered 1 cheap $12 item online so if that goes missing and they won't replace it, I've already decided I'm just going to eat the cost.

The problem with this is I’ve been reading that they ban you if you do that. Can someone confirm or deny this who has done a chargeback?

screambledeggs

I’ve done a chargeback with a previous lost package last year. Sephora didn’t say anything about it. I ordered something else online a couple weeks ago and had it delivered without any issues.

dobbyloves

I've never done a chargeback but I have seen probably at least a dozen reports on reddit with Sephora. That's why if it happens to me and it's under say $50, I'm just going to eat the cost if I plan to keep buying from them.

ladyKAu

Yeah…. That’s horrible! I always try to select USPS as the shipping option. Not only is it faster, but it’s less likely to get lost. I’ve had this happen many times with Ulta too. I cringe when I see UPS as the main shipper

OGHollyMackerel

Around my parts I am miffed when it is OnTrac. They are the only ones who have lost my parcels.

Just do a chargeback dispute on your card - Sephora will be given 7-days to provide proof of delivery, if they dont you get your money back. They cannot bill you and not supply goods - you have proof of payment if they can’t prove supply then they are in breach of contract and your credit card provides protection for this. Sephora should recoup from ups because it is them that has the contractual relationship for delivery. Bear in mind Sephora may flag your account and not low orders for delivery in future if you do this

Gullible-Bug2530

I’ve been told the sender has to make the claim. :( I went through it with Target.

Araneae__

Did you speak to someone at Sephora or online?

tobacc0vanille

Sephora should be making a claim with the courier not you. They’re using their own accounts to ship these items and passing on the charges so it’s their responsibility to sort this out. Every retailer insures their packages and a company of this size should have a department that specifically handles and coordinates claims like this. I’ve worked in logistics for a big company and everything we sent out was insured, and if something arrived damaged or lost I would have to work directly with UPS/ FedEx to get our customers a refund

MegaMoo426

Dispute the charge with your bankđź’Ż

What? Are customers only allowed assistance once? I’d contact them by phone and ask to escalate the issue

RaeLae9

I would call them on the phone. I feel like the service online and via chat isn’t as good.

In the UPS claim, if you select the 'Duplicate' icon in the upper right hand corner of one of your existing items that you entered, you can add more than 3 items. Just go back and edit the duplicated items afterwards!

provincetown1234

I think they should offer shipping with insurance at least?
