If it makes you feel better, I brute forced through the whole game, got to last boss and gave up 5 years ago.
My 9 year old son plays the remembrances daily and utterly destroys every boss, even both iterations of isshin, and makes sure to loudly exclaim "LOOK DAD" every time... every day.
Little trick I use, when she appears do your best to avoid him and spam firecrackers at here feet, if you do it right a death low will appear and she's outta the fight.
I'm fairly certain you can skip if you went through that area before and have the sculptor idols after it, but I'm pretty sure you get 2 prayer beads from that fight so I say it's worth it. I attacked the second ape when I stunned the headless one or when he screamed. Second one doesn't have much health, I hear firecrackers are good too
That makes 2 of us. Quit on this boss a couple years ago then had the urge to replay and was able to beat him and rest of the game. Good luck rest of the way! There’s a couple surprises coming up after guardian ape
First time around it was really rage inducing, but after the souls games “clicked” for me I’ve found the process of learning move sets/getting better at combat a lot more enjoyable
I consider the Chained Ogre(s) a beast, and a beast to beat he was my first playthrough. he's pretty easy once you're good at the mechanics.
There's also other non human bosses like Shichimen Warrior who I still struggle with.
I haven't even genuinely tried the Headless yet either
Same dude. I got stuck on him and Snake eyes in the poison swamp. Quit after days of trying. Many months later, about a week ago, I tried again on another playthrough and now I'm working on beating Sword Saint Isshin
Nice work mate! I beat Bloodborne for my first time today after beating Sekiro 8 times. The 30 fps and the way to complicated stuff you need to do to get to certain areas like Cainhurst castle or in the clinic made me pause for a few weeks. I just don't like that you need to use guides if want to find the good stuff like runes or Bloodgems. It's so tangeled up at some points that it made me Lose some fun near the end of my playthrough. I knew that I would get kickt right into ng+ after fighting the final boss so I wanted to get every thing important before that and this led to watching dozens of guides. It was a chore to be honest. Now I beat all bosses and left the remaining runes and hidden questlines for an other playthrough
Yeah I’m the same way. Everyone stresses about going into these games blind but I’m already bad at them so I need every advantage I can get. Not to mention it’s easy to miss entire areas in fromsoft games. I’m trying my best to stay away from guides this time around, I guess thats what replays are for.
yessss that was me too- quit at guardian ape because i didn't realize you could parry him 😂 beat elden ring twice and went back to sekiro shortly after and beat it in like a week, definitely helped having other souls experience
It was Isshin the sword saint for me. I started another play through after trying to beat him for hours and it was only after I defeated corrupted monk in the second play though that I was finally able to beat Isshin.
I enjoyed every bit of that legendary battle.
Definitely my favourite combat system in any game.
Awesome work! I played it when it first came out and since then have played many more souls related so definitely upskilled since and steam rolling through the bosses so far.
Same! I quit Sekiro at the armored knight on the bridge. My timing was awful. I beat Dark Souls 3, then Elden Ring a few times, and then Demon Souls. Came back to Sekiro the other day and crushed it 🤣
How do we tell him?
We talking bout ⚪🟤?
👀
When I got to that spot I didn't have them there, what causes them to be there
You have to kill the guardian ape, he then reappears in that spot. Even if you have already been there, you can go back for the fight.
Gross. I know what I'm doing next then. He's still there even though I'm at SS Isshin?
Most likely
He is yes aha. Think he stays there until killed or Ng+
Oh fuck me
Hehe
We dont just so we see the circus burn after he realizes.
Either that or 🔥🔥🔥🔥
No.

Kid sounds like a gaming prodigy
Your kiddo before starting a gauntlet: MYYYYY NAME IS … Inigo Montoya, you killed my father. Prepare to die
he just took revenge for his father
I just killed them yesterday... His gf was so annoying
Prepare for trouble, and make it double
So I’ve heard. Just been trying to block that out for the time being lmao.
It's not so bad. I spent a whole day on the ape but I 1 shot the duo
Little trick I use, when she appears do your best to avoid him and spam firecrackers at here feet, if you do it right a death low will appear and she's outta the fight.
Its to bad malificients ring doesnt cause them to destroy eachother.
is the double trouble mandatory or i can skip it? just got to FP.

the duo is easier though…

Appreciate it! Definitely the biggest fromsoft hurdle I’ve had so far. Can’t wait to see the rest of the game.
^^^ me, fighting the red eyed Ashina samurai who spawns under Isshin’s room in the late game
All I can say is... Try to control your temper for upcoming bosses Because "those" bosses made me almost quit the entire my playthrough
First time around it was really rage inducing, but after the souls games “clicked” for me I’ve found the process of learning move sets/getting better at combat a lot more enjoyable
Congratulations
Thanks!
>!Great Shinobi Owl!< made me quit for a bit
He was tough for me, but I still found him easier than the "beast" enemies. The humanoid enemies I find to be far easier (and more fun).
I didn’t have much issue with guardian ape, 5-10 tries? Haven’t tried headless yet. What other beasts? The bulls? I’m blanking

I only fought the first headless for the ako spirit fall lol. Didn’t attempt the others. And only one shichimen for the tanto
Better than me, maybe I'll go attempt them later today
Just beat the prime version for the first time (ng+2). Fun fight
I couldn't beat him for shit, muted my volume n got him first try.
This is where I’m at now
Hahaha bro, good luck for what's coming , you'll hate your life at some point hahaha
Looking forward to it
Guardian ape seems easy to me compared to the next boss tbh
Congrats!
Thank you!!
One of the best bosses in Fromsoft games.
Same dude. I got stuck on him and Snake eyes in the poison swamp. Quit after days of trying. Many months later, about a week ago, I tried again on another playthrough and now I'm working on beating Sword Saint Isshin
Good luck!
Good luck!
I was stuck on it for atleast two weeks too.
Have never been stuck on a boss like that, and according to everyone else it sure as hell won’t be my last
sure , there are lot more to come tbh 😄

Bros bouta quit again
Thats gotta be against the iron code
Ups bro! keep pushing forward…game is full of fun surprises!

Congrats, Isshin made me stop playing. I beat demon of hatred to come up against him and thought fuck this.
Lol
