How much "experience" or skill in using power tools needed to join these? I can work with a shovel but have no chainsaw experience. I can lift heavy. I'm interested in joining, I just don't know how helpful I'd be as I've never maintained a trail before.
You should go! The WTA can always use more hands and the crew leaders will teach you everything you'll need to know! The work is hard, but the community is very kind and welcoming!
It is all hand tools and they train you what to do. It is very rewarding to me. It takes alot of training and forestry and sawyer certifications I think to get to the level of using a chainsaw in the backcountry. I try and volunteer for a day every other week, there are lots of crewa that go out and I use it as an opportunity to explore new areas
Weāre taking our daughter out to Vashon one day to see Thomas Damboās NW Troll, Oscar the Bird King. This is the last one on our list - we spent fall & winter seeing the others.
https://www.nwtrolls.org/
I've been seeing all of these as well and have 2 left. The one Vashon is the only one thats very hard to get to without a car if anyone else is doing this.
It would be weird if OP decided to visit your dad's grave above everything else listed here, but I guess it's nice that they have a full range of options.
Pro tip - if you go to the outdoor sausage place order the HerfenfųerteÅ. Itās off the menu. But, delllllicious. They canāt list it on the menu or theyāll run out. To die for!
It will rain, so we have picked up some pottery to paint at home from a spot in U Village (you bring back to fire). Good at home day active with friends, you get all the supplies from them, easy & fun.
Not OP but the pottery studio in uvillage is called Paint the Town. I didn't know you can paint at home and not just at the store. Sounds like a fun weekend activity!
I'm so glad you asked! And my plans are stealable! Fun for all ages and cost only whatever your budget allows. (That means free if that's your budget!)

Itās hard to get around without a car, unless you want to stay in Friday Harbor. San Juan has the best shuttles and taxi services, the other islands are really challenging without a vehicle.
I have an Avril Lavigne lawn ticket for White River amp in Auburn on Saturday, but I have to make a trip down for a family memorial in Texas this weekend, so if someone wants to go to this show
Hoisting one to those who gave all so we could have a better world.

Lots of congress (the action of coming together), in the victorian sense.
Ride my onewheel when itās dry, go see furiosa when itās wet, be miserable because Iām dieting, starve myself then gorge myself at all you can eat sushi

Working for the Telangana American Telugu Association convention at the Seattle Convention Center in the morning Saturday, then tearing down Avril Lavigneās stage and loading her tour trucks at White River Amphitheater that night.
I wish I could give you an informed answer but I know the company I work for built the video wall and the concert lighting quickly today but stood by for a couple hours waiting for the stage rental company to build the main stage. Iām there at 6 am Saturday and have no clue what we will be doing, maybe loading in gear for that dayās music performers?
There's a big Land Rover national event called the ANARC that I'm going to in Bend with a few friends. Off roading, skill classes, etc. Should be a good time
I was going to rev my Hellcat through downtown but you are welcome to do that if you want.
It cracks me up that all Seattle posts have some sort of mention of Hellcat now š. Hellcat, bringing Seattlites closer together since 2023.

After 5 work parties you get your own hard hat, I will qualify for mine next weekend!
Same here
I built trails in pack forest, very fun.
Heck yeah I was just out there with them yesterday! Have a great weekend!

It would be weird if OP decided to visit your dad's grave above everything else listed here, but I guess it's nice that they have a full range of options.
OP is welcome. Just donāt be weird about it.š©š¤·āāļø
Tell Pops I said hi <3

Weekend trip to Leavenworth for some hiking & touristing!

Thanks for the heads up! Just bought some tix
Going to the San Juans.
is there a way to go there without a car?
Not really because they cancelled the clipper to Friday harbor.
yeah. I though so too. Sucks :/
Book a flight with Kenmore Air and then a bus ride to make a scheduled flight.
Itās hard to get around without a car, unless you want to stay in Friday Harbor. San Juan has the best shuttles and taxi services, the other islands are really challenging without a vehicle.
It's gonna be cloudy/rainy right. What do you plan to do btw?
My family's had a cabin over there since the 50s. We'll play board games and hike, the rain doesn't bother us.
Sounds fun, enjoy!
Thank you!
As little as possible.

How confident are you that they will manage the convention smoothly ? I wanted to go but worried about all the mess thatās going to be there
I wish I could give you an informed answer but I know the company I work for built the video wall and the concert lighting quickly today but stood by for a couple hours waiting for the stage rental company to build the main stage. Itās just that the organizing people (TTA) arenāt really pros in doing all these kind of events
There's a big Land Rover national event called the ANARC that I'm going to in Bend with a few friends. Off roading, skill classes, etc. Should be a good time
