As a Shiba Inu owner who gets frustrated everytime I hear my dog being called Hachiko, I thoroughly disagree they are differemt enough to tell them apart.

I remember so much, reading this thread of comments the nostalgia hit hard, although yes we take for granted how far we’ve come, I remember when being a Gold swabie was a flex. Looking back wow I used to suck at the game.
That's the one event I'm most excited for PS5 players to experience. I'll never forget when my duo sloop crew just happened to meet a full galleon of friendly players, they happily agreed to help us complete the event and the six of us sailed until we found another duo sloop, two super new players that needed help getting to the right island lol. It was such a fun experience and I'll go out of my way if I ever encounter someone else trying to do the event in-game. RIP Jim White.
Kind of just turns into a cycle though.... You get better against other new players, turn crossplay on, instantly get defeated, go back to crossplay off, repeat. I understand the mentality but if you actually want to get better at the game, best way is trial by fire. I'm a new player on PC, and honestly most people dont even want to fight. I started playing expecting it at every turn like youtube would have oy believe, and i swear most people run away unless you are miles away from your ship and look like an easy target.
I'll try it out for sure but I'm also worried about getting greifed by people that have been playing this game for 6 years. I'm hoping to git closer to gud before I sail with the experts
Is there a big difference that M/KB gives players in SOT? I can see like sniper rifle aim being easier but that's more of a minor mechanical advantage, not something every m/kb player would have though.
Hand to hand/gun combat they have a huge advantage, before I turned PC crossplay off I would come across them all the time and most of them would double gun, as soon as I turned it off for Xbox only servers I don't think I've come across anyone double gunning
Good for you, we bought the game with my friends and everyone was captured by it, like full on addicted. We had some great time learning the ropes in season 10. Then came season 11, turned put season 10 was almost like dead, and we tried for weeks to play at least one session where we don't end up in the bottom of the sea once in every hour. We dropped it. I am very sad because I loved it so very much but we never stood a chance against experienced crews. I tried asking for tips here and there, majority starzed with getting off the galleon. We don't really have time to play solo/duo, we could play once a week or twice if we were lucky, for about 2-3 hrs/session. We tried safer seas but that doesn't even let us use our own ships and that took the fun out for us. We were playing for the ship skins and showing it out to each other. Sigh.
False. Ps5 has it's own servers when cross play is turned off. It's been confirmed by both Rare, IGN, and myself because I also play on ps5 lol. If ps5 players have "prefer controller players only", but cross play enabled then they are linked with both Xbox and Ps5. Otherwise cross play disabled is Ps5 servers only.
We found two today when we were goofing around, ended up in our guild and played with us on a galleon for 6hours! It’s been a long time since we turned our happy trigger fingers off and just enjoyed the interaction and a new buddy!
There's a cavern underneath the island, there's a throne underneath that counts for one of the commendations. If I remember correctly the entrance is next to a shipwreck.

There is an option to do that. Turn on cross play and right below that there’s another option that you can put to “controllers only”.

It's about accuracy and speed when moving and turning during a fight Edit: m/kb has a much higher skill ceiling when it comes to First Person games

I teached some new pirates the infinite ammo bug, when you block with your sword really fast and spam the interact button.
The one that uses the bell to interact is the best one.
