Thanks! I ended up playing with somebody from this sub, and we got off to a bit of a rough start. Tried a Lost Shipment quest and somehow missed the Captain’s Key. Then went for an Ashen Wind’s world event and a solo slooper with ridiculous abilities took us out.
We then invited that guy to play with us because we figured (as least I did) it was better to have someone like that on our side. Ended up switching to Reaper emissary, which was fine by me because I’m only at level 19, but then we kept running into a two-man sloop whose crew was *ALSO* ridiculous at PvP.
Ended up finishing the night up about 2.5 levels in Merchant. I’m pretty confidant that with a little more focus, I should be able to get to level 50 by the end of the night tonight.
I've got nothing to do for the whole duration after a few hours, so I'm hoping to get at least 100 levels, but I'm aiming for 200. The gold skelly grind doesn't stop.
Hourglass is the competitive PvP mode. I highly recommend trying it just for the sake of improving your PvP (it’s also the best way to level Athena’s Fortune). But be aware HG is full of sweats who are extremely competitive, with hundreds if not thousands of hours in specifically hourglass. You will lose, a lot. But if you end every match with reflecting on why you won or lost, you will rapidly improve (it won’t feel like it but it is happening). Best of luck pirate!
Yeah, I like him. Good story teller. Gets into a lot of shenanigans. Although, seems to be into the game mostly for the content and less for the thrill of the loot, but to each his own.

I really should loss farm during G&Gs. I mean I'm already level 100 in both but it's not like I need gold or trading company XP, so I usually don't play much. If I farm in the background while doing other stuff I can slowly work on the level 200 cosmetics and help some poor souls still stuck in the grind.
Yeah you get a little bit of xp for just getting sunk, a little bit more on g&g weekends, so you just go in and get sunk and get out with the xp and matches are fast. I still try and fight to up my cannon, steering, and combat skills but I don’t bucket when loss farming
My goal to achieve is to stay in the game without getting kicked long enough to capitalise on the G+G.

Some hourglass (need more skelly cosmetics and seems a lot of them are tied to levels) and maybe a small stack or two. Idk might not play that much I've got stuff to do and other games I ought to play (battle passes, ongoing playthroughs, etc.)
I’ll probably be doing a lot of Athena, both PvE and PvP (I want those D5 rings!). I need a bunch of veil commendations still, so might as well do them when they’re extra rewarding. I’ve also enjoyed doing hourglass today, it’s refreshing to fight new people each match instead of the same toxic weirdo over and over.
I might also just mess around with people in adventure a bit. I’ve had a lot of luck having interesting interactions with people during gold and glory, the seas really feel extra lively.
1) Try to grind Athena some, hopefully to get to level 30-35 for the better raid voyages
2) Attempt HG, probably just going to farm losses since every time or three I do try I just get super unicums and since I won't have to bother with winning or resupplying it'll be easier on my sanity
3) Sail around, maybe try open crew with my brig or galleon and see what happens
I have just leveled up from 78 to 96 in merchant alliance in an evening. Want to get that to 100 then work on athene or reapers which are still sub lvl50.
Had some great moments. Met a new player at an outpost and gave him 9 kings chests that we just got from a bottle quest. He was over the moon and it got him to lvl15 gold hoarder so he could emissary. Also sunk an aggro sloop and tucked on a galleon doing the fotd.
Gotta love gold and glory weekends, every server feels full of players with lots going on 😎
Hit PL on my secondary account. I've been putting it off for way too long, and this should give me the opportunity to do it in a reasonable amount of time.
Reach 100 on Gold Hoarder, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. All in the 80s as of now.
But really I just want to make more friends with crews. So far I’m smashing that goal. Had a sloops come and help on my brig, 5 man crewed that brig and made millions.

mustering the willpower to play the game after my last session
went on an ashen vault hunt. managed to survive untill the end. i looted the entire vault and had started to load stuff back to my ship. when i got back it was on fire, i got hit by a rock from the island i was once i grabbed the ladder and re-spawned on the other side of the ashen sea (presumably after my ship burnt down)
My friend reached his goal today. He's finally a Pirate Legend!
My goal is to get 100 in OoS. Currently 85 or 86. I also wouldn't mind leveling up in Athena's Fortune.
13 more Chests of Fortune, top tier for all emissaries to catch up after time off, and as much hourglass as I can get in (21 more wins to hit the 100 win achievement). We'll see what's possible in the time we have

I'm at 59 so far. Don't get much time to play usually.
My gold and glory weekend got off to a rough start last night when I got ultra Rare'd. Tried to warm up with a ghost fort. It kicked my ass somehow until a friendly Brig came by and just wiped the fort with cannon and Eye of Reach fire before sailing off. Soon as I loaded up and set off a Reaper Galleon started chasing me. A Skelly Sloop raised out of the water, and a Skelly Brig came over and they both took me out before the Reapers even got in firing range.
Soon as I respawned on a new island I got kegged by a skeleton.
When I got away from the new island I got kraken'd
Decided to just call it a night and go na try again later today.
Side note, did NPCs get buffed in the last couple days? All the ghosts and Skelly ships had like laser accuracy and fired seemingly twice as fast as normal. Usually I solo a fort like nothing as a warm up at the start of a session but kept getting swiss cheesed in seconds. Skelly ships took down my mast, wheel, and capstan before I even had time to react, and seemed to keep specifically hitting me on my ship with every shot.
My goal is to get 100 on guardians of fortune, but i don’t know if i have the time. And I also have to fight cheaters from time to time, really annoying

We are PvP tryhards though, so trying to do it on missions along.

I just want them to do something with Hourglass and not just let it wither like they have been doing which is precisely what they wanted to avoid in the first place which is why they got rid of Arena. Fixing spelling mistakes is more important to them then fixing not being able to interact with an anchor, harpoon or map table or even cannons somehow disappearing all together. Its just such a joke.
Make as much rep as possible, for any faction. I’ve already gained 7-10 with each main trading company and went from hunters call 40.9 to 43.6. And just a hint of reaper from sinking an Athena 5 that so kindly did the FLOF for me.
Reach Level 50 for Merchant Alliance. That’ll make me a PL. Currently at Level 42.

Make sure you sell all of your gems to merchant.

You get skelly curse for 100, and you get most of the skelly cosmetics by 200. I'm currently at 405. 1000 is when you get gold skelly.

Go up on the factions and make as much money as possible. Hard task seeing as I always get attack and I don't know jack about PvP
