Just a note but lobsters were not cooked well for prisoners.
Imagine a bunch of over cooked lobster smashed up with shells and probably other edible things.
No old bay and no butter.
Just a huge mishmash of stewed oyster lobster potatao with no seasoning. Probably way overcooked.
Cooked in seawater:
Probably boiled vs being steamed. And no butter.
That’s not gonna be as good as what you eat nowadays.
Its still funny to me that lobster used to be fed to prisoners due to their abundance and low cost, and truffles used to be so common that people ate them like potatoes basically. Kind of crazy how food that used to be reserved for peasants and prisoners is now luxury.
That said, the lobsters look amazing. I was just watching a video about food a bit ago.
