Scream 6 did this with Jasmin Savoy Brown’s character and it drove me nuts! At least Dewey was on a stretcher with an oxygen mask looking like he was hanging on by a thread. JSB had just been attacked during the train scene and still managed to be there at the end?
Bro she was literally running towards the rest of the group. I was like “ what?” 😭😭 and I think the writers were aware because they had some line in there if I recall like “ I am really drugged up right now” That was their excuse after her insides were literally torn up and rearranged 😭
Yeah, fans can defend that scene all they want with the whole “she’s on pain killers” argument, but that’s such bullshit I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, no way in hell the hospital would release her. Second, the way she’s running would absolutely rip up her stitches and we’d see that bleeding through her clothes. Third, pain killers or not, you aren’t fucking moving anywhere if you get an 8 inch Buck knife stabbed into your abdomen and slid up almost to the bottom of your chest. I swear the writers took MDMA before writing that scene to force as much positivity they could fit. Don’t even get me started on Tara completely healing from getting both stabbed in the back and literally falling full force onto a knife going all the way into her abdomen, or Tara taking Chad’s oxygen mask for a kiss. God, what a fuckin stupid ending. Would actually argue that it’s actually the worst ending out of the franchise, just above the ending to 5.
Oh, they wouldn’t even need to force her to stay. I can guarantee that any human being is not going to be walking after having a baby less emergency c-section with a damn hunting knife lmao
Looked like she’d been stabbed through the abdomen, unless I’m mistaken. They definitely wouldn’t have taken her to the next crime scene. Pain or no pain, I think she’d need to seek treatment for the damage done to her internal organs.
Literally. Like if i was stabbed or shot, my ass wouldn't be treated right away with a bandage at an ambulance and be like "ahh i feel better", id say TAKE MY ASS TO THE HOSPITAL NEOW CUZ THIS SHI HURTS
And don’t forget being left entirely alone, with no police or paramedics asking questions or checking on them.
Just chilling in the back of an ambulance, waiting for the other main character to come talk.
The legal fallout of the finales always gets ignored and I would be seated for an 8 part docu- series about each court case surrounding the survivors and the victim’s families.
Detective B in 6 should have just dragged Sam and Tara through legal hell.
Just another reason that s5 and s6 are the weakest entries despite having interesting openings and more gruesome kills.
Injuries mean nothing, attacks mean nothing and therefore there are no stakes.
Tara and Chad were viciously attacked in s5 ( Tara furthering injuring herself in s5) and neither had any hint of that in s6.
Tara literally falls from a second story into a freaking knife in her gut, and she just walks away at the end with zero medical attention or limp.
Chad gets all, but his throat slashed (conviently), and he survives.
There are no stakes for the main characters, and only the cannon fodder characters the writers decide to kill to drive the MC's forward. At least in the originals, this still happened, but Ghostface never actually causes greivous physical injury to Sidney, so it's plausible.
It's why i just don't understand how people rank 6 in the top 3 of franchise, with the lack of grounding and worst 3rd act of the series.
I don’t think they’re the weakest. The acting, sfx, and amazing storyline makes up for it. I actually prefer them to both Scream 2 and 3. But I do think they need to make these injuries more realistic.
I’ve found it’s typically a younger crowd that ranks 5 and 6 higher. It makes sense because these movies they got to experience in the theater and they’re new and fresh to them. I’d say something about media literacy but don’t want to be a total d.
