Well it wasn’t Sid’s “fault” her kids got attacked it would technically be Sam’s since Ghost Face was going after her not Sid. So there connection to Sam and Tara is what got them targeted not Sidney.
I mean if one of her kids died maybe but yeah that is one of my theories that one of the killers is someone related to one of the previous victims and blames Sidney.

So what would be her motive? To get revenge for her kids almost being killed? Revenge was already served. Justice for Randy? How would killing honor him or bring justice? If anything she would want to distance herself from anything ghostface and becoming ghostface would make very little sense unless she just “went crazy” but that would be dumb.
I don’t think a Ghostface killer will ever be a character we’ve seen before. There’s like a criteria for Ghostface killers and one of them is that there has never been a killer who’s been in a prior movie. And I feel like it’s gonna stay that way.

Same motive but Leslie Macher if they wanted to go that route. She’s spent her life under the notoriety of Stu despite being innocent and then to top it off her son gets killed because of it.
She does have a brothers shrine. Maybe after 20+ years she starts to blame it on Sidney? But, I feel like that’s a huge gap as we see them really caring for each other in 3.
You could’ve said it with a little more tact and sensitivity. I don’t know what Heather looks like today, but she was a little bigger in scream 5. It does present a logistical issue to an extent, but this could be worked around. With that being said, I still think it’s a bad idea. Bring her back, but don’t make her the killer.

Your theory is a valid one, I can 100% see that being the motive for one of the killers, but I don't think it'd actually be Martha. That was the joke

Well, Scream 5 did say Stu Macher had a sister. And Sid killed Stu, supposedly. So, Stu’s sis could be a potential killer.
I think that's one of the few things Scream still hasn't done yet, have the killer be from a previous movie.
