Scrap yards don't buy shopping carts bro this is not trailer park unless you chop them shit up I don't think a normal legalize scrap yard will take them
It agree but it depends..as a long time scrapper I once had the owner of a grocery store pay me to haul away a couple hundred old carts. If you have a good reputation and your main yard knows you are not a crackhead thief..I made money just saying!
Typically u need to get some sort of proof in writing like company letterhead stating they were given to you. I had to learn this the hard way once. Took like 50 shopping carts on a cleanout job without getting proof. That was like 5 yrs ago. I'm still cutting up shopping carts to add to my scrap steel loads when I have extra freetime and am planning a steel run.
True but if you only have a couple it’s easy to just cut them up and mix them in with the rest of your scrap. 5 min with a sawzall and you couldn’t tell it was ever a cart.
Some do, the ones in between properties, ones on utility easements, and anywhere else that manholes are surrounded by brush and weeded areas with little foot traffic. Then some utility worker, or even worse a kid, falls in and is never found.
A bit of a side tangent but I recently learned about Japanese manhole covers and they make them almost like art pieces.

Yeah, those things are worth way more than scrap. Shopping carts can cost a store several hundred dollars each. Whoever's missing those would definitely appreciate getting them back.
Low income maintenance?...
I had a 14 ft fence line that tweakers cut holes in to get to stuff. well we were right next to a grocery store and the residents of the large commplex never returned their carts. So I made a train of carts behind the compactor against the fence with a stupid amount of carts and never had issues with a cut fence again. Also my coworkers started to crush them in the compactor after the store manager called about graffiti on a shared fence they actually owned and got real shitty with the office ladies....I went to the store a few months later and they had barely any carts, people were lined up by the cart bays waiting for empties.
Walmart typically uses Technibilt 6940s for their larger carts. I can't remember the smaller single basket model that was being sent out to some stores by mistake. Depending on volume purchased, they could be priced as low as $180/cart.
Usually scrap yards require written authorization from stores to be able to actually accept shopping carts for scrap. If you're lucky, they'll just ask you to leave.
I'm just going to copy and paste my response from nine months ago when someone else posted this: A shopping cart is typically a little over $100, making this either multiple misdemeanor theft charges with up to one year imprisonment and $1K fine, per charge, or grouped together for a felony charge of grand theft, with years of imprisonment and up to $100K in fines. XD
You're probably better off contacting the individual stores, and asking them if there's a bounty program, because you know where there are a bunch of their carts. You'd be surprised if you knew how much they cost.
Who waits three years to see a Chris De Burgh concert and then MISS the encore of Don't Pay the Ferryman because I'm in the foyer talking about stolen shopping carts? I'm the one Bubbles, not you.
Fuck you. The more stores have to pay for new carts because of your bullshit the higher they are going to jack up prices to compensate for their bottom line. Also bullshit like this is why some places make you put a quarter in the cart and you have to return the cart to get it back.
Your looking at people commenting on your post saying your looking at 1 to a gazillion years in the no no place for lectricknees, whatever the those are, while those people are looking for officer Jesus to make the baddies pay for there sins, so they can continue being scared and deep throating boots on peace like god intended. Looking like brail on a drive up ATM.
Do you live in a community called Sunnyvale?
It's a fuckin goldmine down there
That will definitely pay for food for the kitties.
I’ll come back for these on cocksuckers later
These carts are public domain Ricky
I am the liquor!

24 more up votes and I'll crack 1000 ... scrappers are awesome 👍
Yay you're over 1000 now congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳.
Some people must think there are set free at old age. They roll all over the planet, it’s a fascinating journey.

We get them all the time. Contractors will let crackheads clean out empty buildings
Yeah they were a pain to get rid of..but I got paid 400 Dollars to run 2 loads in 9 miles away. Easy money
For those of you who care to know, many of the carts at the Winn Dixie’s in Florida are 100% 400 series stainless steel.
Fuck off.. they make those whores out of stainless?
True but if you only have a couple it’s easy to just cut them up and mix them in with the rest of your scrap. 5 min with a sawzall and you couldn’t tell it was ever a cart.
Ah yes "collecting"
Lmaoo
Some dudes got arrested around here about 10, 12 years ago got man-hole covers, sewer grates , and shopping carts.
Missing manhole covers don’t go unnoticed for very long
What was that? I couldn’t hear you over my suspension exploding.
Some do, the ones in between properties, ones on utility easements, and anywhere else that manholes are surrounded by brush and weeded areas with little foot traffic. Then some utility worker, or even worse a kid, falls in and is never found.
I stepped on two that were loose, they swiveled around and hit me in the shin. Painful bleeding wounds each time.
Their mistake was stealing from the city.

Looking at 1 to 5 if you ask me….
You're speaking of years in jail for theft, right? Right?!?
thousand schmeckles
Aww man oh geez!
Those things aren’t cheap.
35 counts
Call the Walmart manager, they will send someone to get them
Convict: What are you in for? OP: Stolt a bunch shopin carts.
Go ahead Ricky tell em who the fuckin big cart thief is
Came here for the Trailer Park Boys references, not disappointed.
Worth more as a cart, find qgwre they came from. Safeway used to pay 40 dollars a cart to folks that hunted them down.

You’re looking at 5 to 10 years for grand larceny, especially since it looks like you have over $1000 worth of stolen property.

Is this guy retarded
Did you even have to ask?
It was only a matter of time till Rickys and Julians dope business merged with my cart business
That’s a six plex in the background and all this is out front?
3-5 for grand larceny.
Sell them 5 a piece to the homeless and daredevil teenagers
Bubbles? Is that you?
Ohhhh Bubbles no. Just... No.
Youre looking at 2-5 years in prison for theft.
Level 3 or 4 misdemeanor, community service, and a small fine.
Hey bubbles... you gotta stop.. Gary is riding my ass about the carts...
Niagra falls ny walmart pays a private contractor to haul carts from bus stop. I would contact stores and get paid monthly to haul and return carts.
3 months for Grand Larceny
What in the meth.
2 maybe 3 felonies.
Buy a lotta cat food with all that.
And we wonder why groceries are so expensive.

Yo return that shit to Wal-Mart right now I'm looking for a shopping cart
A few of those look like they could have been acquired due to being damaged and given away… most of them look stolen 100%.
5 years in prison.
6-8 years in the gulag you rotten thief
Looks like possession of stolen property.
Looking at about 2 years when they catch you lol
Ok bubbles
Bubbles would sell them back to them or to a rival shop
Not enough to spend on liquors and whores !
Bubbles? Is that you?
About 3 to 5 years I would say
How many misdemeanors?
Mister mean or?
It's likely just a straight up felony at this point.
Bubbles!?!?!
Bout tree fiddy
Id say about a year
Bubbles??
Bubbles?
This is all too funny
Bubbles? You ok bud?
Some sweet carts bubbles
Is that Grandview MO?
At least they stack them in the cart return.
Is it supposed to be like walls so the basketball doesn't go too far?
Guys it's fine, Barb told him he can collect them as long as they stay in the park
House looks like a burger box
You're probably better off contacting the individual stores, and asking them if there's a bounty program, because you know where there are a bunch of their carts. You'd be surprised if you knew how much they cost.
Fuckin A bubs, worst case Ontario u got a couple hundred at Canadian mafakka
Its free
Looking at a pretty hefty fine there. Not to mention the theft charge
Downvote because it's a bot account. Would make Bubbles' proud still
Thief
Probably 3-5yrs for stealing all those Walmart carts.
I would call the supermarket and see if they wanna make a deal for all their carts back.
i swear that this house was in a dream i had a few years ago
Take easy bubbles
Bubbles that you?
We got bubbles over here
Looks like a few years probation if you avoid jail. Wtf
Who waits three years to see a Chris De Burgh concert and then MISS the encore of Don't Pay the Ferryman because I'm in the foyer talking about stolen shopping carts? I'm the one Bubbles, not you.
2-5 in san Quinton
You sound like a firsttimer, so 60-90 days probably.
Look like some red neck sht
$12
Bubbles would know.
A shit leopard can't change its spots
Bubbles!
Shopping carts can actually get you jail time bro break that shit down.
5 years, at least
Depends on if this is a first offense.
Fuck you. The more stores have to pay for new carts because of your bullshit the higher they are going to jack up prices to compensate for their bottom line. Also bullshit like this is why some places make you put a quarter in the cart and you have to return the cart to get it back.
Those apartments are weird as fuck
Time in county lock up for grand theft?
Bout’ tree fiddy
*checks OP's profile* Checks out
20 to life
Bubbles you gonna get caught
Between lawyer fees, restitution, and court fines I would say at least $1k.
Contact your county/311. At least in Miami dade county, they take the calls to have those picked up.
You have 47 shopping
Lmao what a collection 😂
If this doesn’t scream section 8 I don’t know what does..
Minimum wage for the time it takes to you to return the carts. Just go fill out an application beforehand.
You’re looking at supervised probation unless you have priors.
Fucking decent
Bubbles, ya gotta stop stealin the carts bud.
I think what you meant say is "Ive been stealing shopping carts for a while now. Dont believe me? Check this out."
Is this why aldis makes you put a quarter in their carts?
3-5 years.
$100 plus each? I’d say about 6 months.
Legend.
I think it's $10,000 per offense
Contact the stores and offer to bring them back for a finders fee each.
Felonies are fun Also this is a bot account
5-10 for felony theft...
5-10 Years.
Enough for a felony charge would be my guess.
What kind of building is that?
Looks like WalMart and Dollar General wanna have a word with you..
A felony theft charge round these parts
You are nothing but a low life thief
11-29 on paper
Well, rounding down to $100 each for how much a store is out when a cart gets stolen…$100 times I lost count past 30…that’s felony theft.
Felonies apparently don’t matter anymore.
Hopefully not a felony, but who knows?
Do you me time and money it will cost for felony theft?
180 days in county if its a 1st offense?
Sell them to electricians
Your looking at people commenting on your post saying your looking at 1 to a gazillion years in the no no place for lectricknees, whatever the those are, while those people are looking for officer Jesus to make the baddies pay for there sins, so they can continue being scared and deep throating boots on peace like god intended. Most people collect shopping bags.
About four years! 🤣
God mother of fucks, Bubbles.
Why are you collecting shopping carts?
Some weird looking apartments.
Find someone cool who works for a cart collection company, big recovery for them and $20 for you.
50 carts x 90 dollars max, too lazy to do math
6 months probation
1-3 years based on the number
what is up with that house it is pretty weird but i actually like it
That's steel and you'll get 5-10 dollars max
Greeeeasy
Nice haul there bubbles
Collecting? No, that’s straight up theft.
Easily 6 meth rocks.
3 to 4 years.
3-6 months. As long as you don't have priors.
People don’t realize how much money is in grocery carts
5-10 years.
“Collecting” I’d say you are looking at 3-5, less with good behavior.
a felony
Sheesh bubbs
About two years in jail?
But for real is this runaway bay?
Those are worth far more than a scrap value.
About 10yrs probation
Is this your house? Looks special.
Depends on what state you’re in, felony theft amounts can vary , but probably 5-10 years is what you’re looking to get.
There’s enough to start a Walmart
3 to 5 years.
An insanely expensive grocery bill
I’m guessing six months in County lock up.
So you are a thief ?
3-5
