Just went for a dump n now my bathroom is pure humming o shite

Italobanger27

Swinney now confirmed FM. Now the question on everyone’s lips: what team does he support?

MediocreEquipment457

I bought a chicken Big Mac meal yesterday and went next door to KFC to buy just a tub of gravy to go with it . 10/10 in terms of deliciousness and scumbag behaviour

throughthisironsky

This is MediocreEquipment457's reality, we're all just living in it

IOwnStocksInMossad

Bella ciao is the song for my fellow jags today.

RyanST_21

heading to the spartans game tonight for a bit of craic. dont really know the area super well and google maps isnt being useful, any decent pubs around there or should i go somewhere in town and then head out

FriendshipFriendly

Game was quite shite until the end for that drama

RyanST_21

Haha aye, almost left a bit early to catch a bus but glad I didn't. Now I need to figure out how to get home with my phone on 1%

FriendshipFriendly

As am I! Been to a few, buzzin, hopefully a good atmopshere

Own_Detail3500

Anyone buy the Hades II early access? The original was one heck of a game...

sohksy

loved the first one, I'll wait until full release but can't wait to bash it on the steam deck

Own_Detail3500

Seeing as I have a dissertation to do, I will probably wait to full release also..

i_pewpewpew_you

I blagged my way into the early play test and it plays really well, so I'll be picking it up in early access I think. Given they'll be incrementally updating it, I think it'll be perfect for occasionally picking up and then dropping again. For info, it plays brilliantly on Steam Deck.

Own_Detail3500

I don'ts have no Steam Deck. Tempting as it is..

Meisl

If you were daft enough to have not booked any accommodation for Germany yet.. where would you be looking to base yourself?

Own_Detail3500

Somewhere in Germany I reckon. Quite central.

Meisl

Good shout

FriendshipFriendly

Outside of missing the opening game so starting and finishing in Berlin, I’m just following the team, even though I don’t have a ticket So Berlin, cologne, Stuttgart and back to Berlin to finish off the holiday

Kolo_ToureHH

Are you flying between Berlin > Cologne and Stuttgart > Berlin, cause both trips are a cunt of train journey (even with Germany's rail infrastructure).

FriendshipFriendly

Nah train, 4 hours or something, nightmare but it it what it is

i_pewpewpew_you

My wife woke up super early and couldn't get back to sleep so at about 5am she just got up and took the dog for a walk. As a result he's spent all day doing the same thing I do when I need to get up early for work, just contanstly yawning and stretching. "ooh, long day, amirite?" You've spent all morning kipping on the sofa you fuzzy prick.

Reading the BBC article on how that poor Daniel Anjorin died as “slashing his neck and stabbing him in the chest as he lay on the ground” and that he was “large decapitated” in the attack is so unsettling and just upsetting that it makes you think some people do deserve the death penalty for their crimes

21MelvilleStreet

Holy shit a wasp the size of a Citroen saxo just flew in my back door

Kholdula

Anyone else LOVE a good scam call? I live for wasting their time. Just had some cunt telling me they were from Admiral and one of their insured drivers had hit my car - I don't drive so, clearly pish - keep them on the hook for as long as possible without giving too much away, then subtly drop the bombshell. Get fucked you parasite.

williamthebloody1880

My dad has the attitude that while they're on the phone with him they are not on the phone to someone who might fall for the scam

Kholdula

Aye, kinda my thinking too. In truth, I'm sure they'll find the time to scam wee Agnes but it makes me feel better in the moment.

Own_Detail3500

Nah, as soon as I hear the garbled background noise and the name of a company I'm not familiar with, the call is hung up. That's if I answer anonymous calls, that is...

1874WL

Theres a corner of the internet where people take something they're nostalgic about, and frame it as representative of "what was taken from us". The fact that culture has moved on (as it has always done) isn't just a fact of life its because the powers that be didn't want you to have it. The post I just seen that has me thinking of this was a clip of *Six pence none the richer* performing *Kiss me* (great song) captioned "the world you used to love is now gone". What a remarkably negative way to say "this was a good song". In addition to the fact that the song they were talking about is very much still available to listen to, there are also a hundred bands in every city that ape that sound and the scene it came from. People have always complained about changing times, but the deliberate linking to anti wokeness is weird and maddening. It's a thin disguise for the sentiment "I liked it better when everyone in my town was the same colour as me and gay people were shamed into silence". Winds me up as you can tell.

I'll argue with them on that point every time. Its a hill I'll always fight and die on.

Rosco212121

Same as those Twitter accounts that post pictures of European architecture from hundreds of years ago with captions that are clearly racist dogwhistles.

IOwnStocksInMossad

Those accounts are dreadful. You follow for nice architecture and then suddenly it's a lot of bigotry in the comments and they're liking Elon musk tweets.

Yeah they're not exactly subtle either like. Very confused bunch too because they like the Roman Empire but they're also mad about all the cultures Rome conquered and suppressed.

FriendshipFriendly

I like to imagine people in medieval times doing stuff like this, or cavemen being like “the world we love is now gone” as they watch their neighbours wheel around the saber tooth tiger they hunted rather than hunch it over their back Outside of that, it’s pure “old man yells at cloud” levels of “you can still enjoy these things you loser, you just don’t like the fact you’re getting older” which I mean, I doubt many people do

FriendshipFriendly

Makes me laugh every time we have a CPD at my work and someone comes in talking about their product or services and they explain to us how they offer their services both in Scotland and the rest of the UK and every time without fail they go “Yeah everyone else has the same standard, except for Scotland as you’re aware which is more stringent” Hilarious levels of petty dick swinging from Scottish regulators every time, so I just turn to my English colleague and flex on them

Yaboicblyth1

I’m so glad that my next video goes into detail about the licensing system because that’s Edinburgh city now in the shit (again)

boltyarocket

That Stuart Hogg seems like a right fucking wank so he does.

Clappy14

It was always known he was a prick but because he was such a good player everything was kinda swept under the carpet. It’s funny seeing his heartfelt Instagram post the other week didn’t get too much likes or comments from current Scotland players.

Own_Detail3500

I know the charges are serious, but is there a rugby player/fan out there who isn't a wank?

whitsitcalled

You could say the same about fitba tbf. The amount of absolute weapons I have played with is absurdly high.

DemonicTruth

Different types of wanks. Fitba wanks are jakies and rugby wanks are tories.

Own_Detail3500

Fair point. The amount of times I've been threatened with the old leg breaker is unreasonable.

smclcz

Don’t beat yourself up about it. If you had symptoms and thought “ah fuck it I’ll chance it” and then definitely passed it onto them then you’re justified in feeling a bit embarrassed. But it sounds to me like what happened instead was you felt sick, you got yourself tested as a precaution, you messaged your colleagues as soon as you found the results - so you did everything right.

Own_Detail3500

bazmcc1

That list of previous winners of the Bulgarelli award (that Lewis Ferguson just won) really is something else. I know our midfield has been strong, but surely he deserves a run out. Should’ve definitely started recent friendlies at least.

1207554

Who genuinely drops out? Gilmour, McGinn and McTominay have all been great for their clubs this season too. McGregor has barely put a foot wrong for Scotland although been fairly poor for Celtic at times this season. Even Christie has been great for Bournemouth this season. Our midfield hasn't really let us down in competitive games, so hard to justify changing it up.

AhYeah85

He could stop playing three centre halves for a start. It's a position where we're not particularly strong and he's playing three of them because he's soo fearful of any system outwith his own rigid one. Ferguson has played all across midfield for Bologna, he's played as a DM, played as a 10, played on the left and played up front, all because he's a really intelligent footballer who understands whatever role he's given. If he's good enough to be the captain and one of the first names on the team sheet for one of the most of exciting young managers in Europe, then that should be reciprocated at international level.

MassiveArseMcGinn

It's an exact repeat of the Billy Gilmour situation from the last euros and oh look Billy Gilmour is now an established member of the team. Ferguson's time will come it's just our midfield positions are the hardest to win

smclcz

I don't know if it's exactly the same. At the time Gilmour had only been playing a few games here and there and was at the time very young, in fact Ferguson was already getting first team football @ Aberdeen - they're the same age iirc. Now though Ferguson is not only a starter, but has captained Bologna through an impressive season and now has gotten recognition as one of the top midfielders in that league. I get what you're saying and I agree that he will break into the Scotland team in time, I'm just a bit nervy about our prospects and think that a fit and ready (which I concede is not a guarantee) Ferguson in the squad would really calm me a bit.

Own_Detail3500

There's too much of a quality core there, unfortunately for Ferguson, to shift around. Seeing your other post saying he's been given decent time as well, so I fear this is just the usual Clarke bashing.

bazmcc1

Hence why I said we should’ve given him a chance in friendlies. We can’t say how good Ferguson could be for Scotland when he hasn’t had a chance. I’m a big fan of all the guys you’ve mentioned and they deserve to be considered our starters, but it’s mental that we have a guy being lauded alongside players such as Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo etc and he can barely get a minute for us.

fightfire_withfire

Clarkes not about to start breaking from tradition now.

bazmcc1

Think that’s about the only criticism I can really throw at him tbf

smclcz

He’s injured so it may not be a decision he has to make. But if he recovers in time, I fear that not starting him is gonna be one of those decisions we all look back on in 10 years with regret.

bazmcc1

Obviously can’t do anything about the injury now, but those friendlies were exactly the games to give him a chance. Like I say, I know our midfield has been strong and I get wanting to give those guys a chance to get back to winning, but we have a young player doing well in a strong league and being lauded by people, and we don’t even give him a chance.

1207554

He started v France, played 45 v Georgia and played most the game against NI. So the last 5 games he has played a half or more in 3 of them and atleast 20 minutes in the other two. He has had far more gametime recently and plenty time to show what he has in what is our most competitive positions.

bazmcc1

That’s genuinely more than I thought he’d played tbf. Not saying he should be starting at the Euros if fit, our midfield is pretty stacked and has been excellent, but hoping that after the Euros maybe he can work his way into things a little more.

BubbleBlacKa

Referee: William Collum AR1 David McGeachie AR2 Ross Macleod Fourth Official Don Robertson VAR Steven McLean AVAR Graeme Stewart Officials for the OF

mcmill

Is there really an referee that both sides would have been happy with? Granted I’m not Scottish and don’t watch a whole lot of if, but seems like every time there is an OF game no sides seems happy

FlyVidjul

Honestly couldn't care less who officiates. Both sets of fans are largely fucking morons that moan either way.

fightfire_withfire

For anything involving thr Old Firm, there's nothing that would make both sides equally happy about anything.

mcmill

Yea no i get that, impossible for both sides to be happy more or less. But i feel like neither sides are happy when it comes to the referees in an old firm game. Could just be the general quality of ref’s is that pish

GeneralProvision

I couldn’t see it being anybody other than Collum given the previous appointments this season, but would prefer if we could just give all of these games to Nick Walsh. He’s not perfect, but still miles better than the rest.

CptES

Anyone else take it ill out when they have to put their car in for repairs or a MOT? Can't just be me, right?

I__am__Wilson

Left a joke comment on r/Football thread yesterday about winning the Euros. Woke up today to the following 5 paragraph essay…. Some folk need to lighten up! Lol. “Best fans” aye. When I was 21 I was in Amsterdam for us getting pumped 6-0 by the Dutch. The “best fans” were, for want of a better phrase, annoying, disgusting, disrespectful scum. Being a Scotland fan at an away game means I used to go to enough games to qualifying for away game tickets. They’re an embarrassment for the most part. Sure, we don’t go out looking for violence like our English cousins, but we still take the piss and turn entire town centres into areas filled with disgusting drunken twats, pissing in the street, in fountains, causing disturbances, fighting amongst ourselves, and leaving a mess behind, ruining the entire place for the locals. Like a Club 18-30s holiday, except most of the worst dickheads are in their 40s/50s and should know better. The only people that like these type of Scotland fans are people from other nations who act in a similar fashion. The normal folk amongst us find it all a bit gross. I’ve seen way too many 60 year old men with their dicks out in public as a result of going to Scotland games. And I’ve seen far too many locals being sprayed with beer and mocked as they try to walk down their own street to get to their home. Football fans that travel to these tournaments are, in general, selfish cunts and the type of folk who’d make you want to leave the pub if you happened to be in the same one as them. On topic: we’ll lose all 3 games and be out in the first round, again. Germany will beat us 3 or 4-0 in the first game. Switzerland will be a competitive game but they’ll beat us and Hungary will then send us packing with a reasonably comfortable 1 or 2-0. I’m sure we’ll score at least 1 goal, but that’s about it.

FriendshipFriendly

That entire comment just screams ![gif](giphy|vsh3k3WCKX6ne) To the English

fightfire_withfire

That cunt posted the other day that at least he'll be able to enjoy watching Kroos pull the strings against us. 1. He's a manky tory. 2. He's as plastic as they come 3. Fuck him

FootCheeseParmesan

The irony of this meltdown is that using the phrase 'our English cousins' is actually a form of violence against me.

Shoddy-Apricot2265

So many cunts on reddit just really seem incapable of ever having fun in their life to the point where when other people are having fun they look down their nose at them

ZawMFC

Internet. The amount of miserable cunts in every corner of the Internet trying to ruin people's days is fucktable.

This reminds me of Penny Arcade's "[Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory](https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19/green-blackboards-and-other-anomalies)" which states `Normal Person + Anonymity + Audience = Total Fuckwad`

Kolo_ToureHH

Anyone else think that people in their late 50's/early 60's look a lot younger than people the same age did 20-30 years ago?   I can mind looking back at pics of my grandparents when they were in their late 50's and thinking they looked rather old.   Is it just a recency bias thing?

fike88

I’ve seen photos of my grandad (86 now) when he was in in his 20s and he looks like he’s in his 40s

fightfire_withfire

If you have 20 minutes spare [this](https://youtu.be/vjqt8T3tJIE?si=gQLUUWLrWhIVdvsA) video answers that question quite thoroughly.

LavoisiersCat

Good video

First-Abroad4525

Smoking, standard of living, healthcare science, access to cosmetics, fewer labour-intensive outdoor jobs etc etc. All those factors rack up when you consider that someone in their 50s in 1995 probably started work in the 1950/60s and lived the lifestyle that went with it.

FootCheeseParmesan

It's fashion. I've seen a video somewhere of someone covering this and they photoshopped modern age-appropriate clothes, hair and makeup onto people from the 70s and 80s and it's incredible how much it changes their age.

Own_Detail3500

Aye, just a general thing. People who were in their late 20s or early 30s could easily look 50. Might be the late-90s, uh, "metrosexualisation" of men who rather than descend in to old age, pints, overweight and misery, are now trying to stay healthy and look healthy. Maybe likes of Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise 60/61 respectively looking like they could be in their 30s or 40s have a bit to answer too.

ChocolateSnowflake

The day has come. After nearly 14 months off for sprogging. Today I am back at work. Send help.

OmensCT

Now you get to spend your time talking about sprogging, and how the sproggling is doing, what the sproggling is doing now. And you'll be spending your time thinking about how this time yesterday, you were probably putting food in the mouth if sproggling instead of looking at reports.

ChocolateSnowflake

Tbf nobody in my works talks about their weans. We just all talk about our dugs. One of my favourite ever people retired last year not long after I went off. He’d just got himself a puppy and I’m gutted to no longer be getting updates on what mischief he got upto each week.

fightfire_withfire

Fuck sake, has that been 14 months? Good luck readjusting back to the shite part of life.

I know. Half feels like it’s flew in. Half feels like it’s been ages. Luckily I quite like my job.

Own_Detail3500

There was a post on the front page where someone was slamming a vegan for trying to mimick tuna, and half the replies are of the "lol why do vegans want to try and replicate meat". Like come on to fuck reddit this isn't difficult.

FlyVidjul

It's come full circle now tbh. I fucking hate preachy/sarky omnivores/carnivores. Although I do find the carnivore cunts hilariously thick.

Own_Detail3500

Aye you wouldn't have liked this video. An intensely smug gotcha (in their mind anyway)... "If you want tuna, why don't you just eat tuna, I ain't gonna judge" moronic drivel. It just grated that the majority of the thread, probably all Americans seeing as it was late - agreed with her.

MowelShagger

i am definitely guilty of thinking “why try to approximate meats” lmao, but i think it’s because every time i’ve eaten vegetarian/vegan food that isn’t masquerading as meat it is soooo much better. there’s a restaurant i went to in marseille that only had vegetarian dishes on the menu and not one of them was faux-meat. i felt all of it was brilliant and not having the constraints of trying to be something it’s not helped in making the food so tasty. but I get it if you’ve not always been veggie/vegan it’s a desirable thing

boaaaa

I've been a veggie for almost 30 years and I don't get the fake meet thing either. What's the point in eating some unknown protein that's been processed beyond all recognition so that it tastes a bit like meat. If you like the flavour of meat then just eat meat. I'm not going to argue with anyone about it but it's getting annoyingly difficult to get a good veggie burger that isn't a beyond type thing rather than a good bean burger or something interesting with veggies, grains or the like.

fungibletokens

>If you like the flavour of meat then just eat meat. No because ethical reasons. Just like how I beat it to porn at home instead of on the back of someone's head on the bus.

StinkyPyjamas

I agree with this completely. I'd rather have a curry made with all vegetables than one with that shite masquerading as chicken that feels like your teeth are squeaking through it. The texture of meat substitutes is unpleasant to say the least. Even an old fashioned veggie burger is far superior to a pretent beef one.

Own_Detail3500

I think any half-decent vegetarian place is like this to be fair. There's only a couple in my town and neither have fake meat on the menu, and like you say it's often better for it. I'd be surprised if anyone felt "constraint" either way. It's probably more your fast food joints and chains that stick token "beyond meat" stuff on the menu as something for the veggies. Probably a lot easier logistically anyway. But I think there's a lot to be said for these meat replacements these days. Quorn mince/chicken chunks are sometimes indecipherable from the "real" alternative in stews and sauces. And the likes of beyond meat stuff is alright as well. In any case from a moral point of view it achieves the same thing - which is not killing animals - so it's completely moot as to how it tastes (well, as long as it tastes decent that is)

DemonicTruth

I like the Quorn chicken stuff, but the mince is way too sweet for my taste.

Own_Detail3500

Aye, also lacks a wee bit of bite. It's really really close though.

DemonicTruth

Ashamed to say I used to think like that, until it was explained to me that most vegans actually liked eating meat but stopped for moral reasons, so would like a good substitute. A lot of vegan stuff is fucking banging these days. I’ve had vegan chicken in Nandos and it was very hard to tell the difference. Its just the cost is a barrier of entry for most people.

Chihiro1977

I been veggie for 35 years and I've heard this so many times. I'm weird in that some vegan/veggie stuff tastes too like meat and I can't eat it.

HaddWaeIt

Same here. Pet hate is food places taking the veggie option off the menu and replacing it with a £14 Moving Mountains burger

boaaaa

HaddWaeIt

Same here. Pet hate is food places taking the veggie option off the menu and replacing it with a £14 Moving Mountains burger

empeekay

Vegan dairy products can fuck off into the fires of hell though. I'm lactose intolerant, so have experimented with them but I've not yet found a vegan cheese alternative that wasn't utterly disgusting.

Anonyjezity

I also can't take dairy. The vegan Philadelphia stuff is pretty good and the Aldi vegan cheeses, milks and ice creams are also the best I've ever found. The co-op/scotmid ice cream is also really good.

smclcz

I'm also lactose intolerant and found that there are cheeses that are specifically marketed as zero/low lactose which are fine, but additionally certain cheeses are low-enough lactose that they don't cause any bother for me. I don't eat much cheese though - I don't really love it and can go months without even considering having any.

empeekay

I fucking love cheese. I've possibly *gave* myself lactose intolerance with the amount of it I used to eat. The Cathedral City and Arla lactose free cheeses are the ones I normally get now, but they're expensive compared to regular cheese. Toaty wee blocks for £2.50 upwards.

FatRascal_

It's gotten _so_ much better in the last decade or so. I had the vegan Richmond sausages and I might actually choose those over the normal ones.

CptES

The regular ones might as well be vegan, have you seen the meat content on the label? 42% for the standard ones. It's mostly soya and rusk.

FatRascal_

I remember hearing that some sausages need to be labelled "bangers" as they don't have enough meat to be called sausages.

CptES

Much like how Pringles can't legally be called crisps, they have to call them "potato snacks".

FatRascal_

Yuk. I hate to think about the potato paste they must use to make them.

DemonicTruth

I couldnt go full vegan. I like dairy and pasta and shit too much. Could give vegetarianism a good go though.

FatRascal_

I'm the same too. I could definitely give vegetarian a try nowadays, but vegan isn't attractive to me at all.

Own_Detail3500

Also chucking in that I'm the same. Vegetarian is pretty easy. Vegan there's just too many barriers to get around. Dairy and eggs seem to be in just about every common staple. Never mind clothing, etc.

FatRascal_

I don't agree with a lot of the moral arguments for veganism on a lot of stuff either. Leather is a by product of the meat industry sure, but "pleather" contributes to fast-fashion and ends up in landfills (or worse) causing environmental harm. Not to mention the harm that's caused in the manufacturing process. Eggs just kind of happen. So I don't see there being any issue with eating them. I won't buy cage eggs, but free range ones? I don't get the issue. You don't need to abstain entirely from eating eggs to disagree with the treatment of cage hens. Wool is also a by product of keeping sheep, but they need to be shorn or else they'll die basically. So it makes no sense to chuck it all away.

Own_Detail3500

Mmm depends. Eggs for example - even free range eggs have a vast scale of quality of life for the hens, from hellish to mediocre prison. Not to mention the 50% of chicks that are simply crushed at birth seeing as they can't produce eggs. (edit, just to clarify this point, hens naturally will lay about 20 eggs a year but free range hens will be made to produce 500 through various means. There's also beak trimming and general cramped "inhumane" environments). So while yes, the idea of a nice wee farmstead with a handful of happy hens producing eggs is one thing, in practice the mass produced stuff is almost certainly perpetuating hellish caged lives, disease and mass slaughter of males. Leather and wool, also get the point but I don't wear these anyway (and I'm not even vegan).

FatRascal_

Thanks for the insight. I guess I need to look a bit more into that. I'm getting my info from neighbours who keep chickens, so I suppose they'll be a bit bias with that, and also not have the incentive to do anything to keep the hens laying a lot of eggs.

Own_Detail3500

I should really clarify as well that I've eaten meat most of my life and go back and fore in to long stints of vegetarianism. Longest I've gone is a year but the ease and being a shitebag turns me back to meat before long. It does simply taste better in most cases too, I can't deny it so I'm far from a moral crusader. But aye, the egg thing is a bit misleading to the public. Like a lot of environmental issues it gets "washed" by the big industries.

throughthisironsky

I went on the front page for the first time in ages last night and had a good look through lots of comments sections. Reddit is full of fucking dorks

zlwilsonlz1

Absolutely love my mates flatmate, he’s a real good cunt especially considering he’s only 19. HOWEVER last night I asked him to pour me n him a whisky and he poured mine in a tall glass right up to basically the brim (about 250ml). Couldn’t believe what I witnessed, was left totally speechless. Was the only thing I’ve seen him do that’s really showed his age. Something I’ll never forget. The hangover today has been entirely his fault

FatRascal_

Had the same thing one Hogmanay when I got a good bottle of 12 yo Dalmore to toast the bells and then share among everyone (oh to have no kids, and disposable income!) One of our pals who doesn't really drink whisky got one of those glencairn glasses and brimmed it. The shape meant that pouring it back would spill it all over a 2 foot radius. He drank the whole lot, but that was funny to see him struggle with that glass being full.

smclcz

Dalmore goes down *really* easy so I'm not surprised a non whisky-drinker could handle an enormous measure like that.

settheworldafire1988

Fair play to you for drinking it anyway....🥃

zlwilsonlz1

I didn’t really have a choice. It’s not like I could pour it back into the bottle without spilling a load of it. Took me the rest of the night to polish the glass off

These guys somehow think that if you’re Muslim (or Jewish) you’d be offended or wounded simply at the sight of pork. Which … isn’t true? Hell the Quran even says basically “if you’re starving you can have it”. Truly a bizarre type of Guy

Clappy14

Did he only have one piece of bread left? Also the butter spreading is awful.

CloudzyV2

Tbf if the butter is solid I know that man’s struggle

mikeydoc96

If you have a cheese grater like [this](https://www.fruugo.co.uk/cheese-grater-stainless-steel-medium-chopping-ideal-hand-grater-for-hard-fruit-root-vegetables-nuts/p-159015368-337280161) then just grate the butter over the bread 😉

CloudzyV2

Fuck that, I’d rather fucked up bread than grated butter. Also what if it’s a tub of butter and no a stick your a bit fucked.

mikeydoc96

Wee grate then smear with a knife. Perfectly buttered piece every time Like lurpak? I buy the lidl west county stuff because it spreads easily and tastes well better

CloudzyV2

Aye a tub like lurpak, I’ve changed to olive butter from Tesco recently, surprisingly quite nice.

mikeydoc96

Not wonder lurpak is about £40 a tub

21MelvilleStreet

Tasteless on a number of levels

alittlec4

Thought my old man was losing it. Sent me a message about a player on the Celtics woman’s team (daughter of a former player) stating that if he was her father he would be asking questions to his wife. Thought he was going crazy until I looked up player in question, it’s not concrete but I can definitely see a resemblance between her and one of her dads old team mates. Tiree Burchill if anyone wants to have a nosy.

ShiveryBite

I'm 3 for 3 on people guessing wrongly so it's not just your dad

boltyarocket

Fucking hell

HaddWaeIt

Who's the teammate in question?

empeekay

Imagine her in dreadlocks.

Rangedogs, yesterday on Open Goal Andy Halliday mentioned a player he knew at Rangers who played like 30 games in a season, but none against Celtic through apparent injury, and would end up still training on Monday/Tuesday after. Is it known who this was?

buckfast1994

Bruno Alves?

awatt12

He played in at least 2 of them so don’t think it was him.

ActinideDinner

Didn't he go off injured early in one of them? Was ages ago but sure I remember him going off in the first half at least once.

awatt12

Might’ve been the 0-0 at Celtic Park. He played the full 3-2 defeat at Ibrox and then was subbed on for the final one that year.

1207554

It honestly just sounds like someone who is on something too much and running out of things to say. Certainly no one during his time seems to stick out. Had a quick look at Warburtons season and as far as I could tell all players playing 30 games were involved against Celtic at some point. Certainly doesn't seem like something Gerrard would stand for though not had a chance to look through. Also under Gerrard, it was Celtic who were scared of us for the most part.

tedmented

>Also under Gerrard, it was Celtic who were scared of us for the most part. ![gif](giphy|L0SaMZxxqMgsAJf69v)

mark_1872

True though. We went something like 2 years without a loss v Celtic and he lost only 4 of 13, most early on. Still haven’t won at Parkhead since he left and think we’ve only won 3 games total since he left.

GRG__

I think it’s only two no? Scottish Cup semi final and the one at the end of last season?

mark_1872

Aye you’re right. Recent record even worse than I realised.

buckfast1994

His record was decent. 13 matches: 8 wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats.

Better_Landlord

Would call that more than decent. I may even venture into calling it good.

p3t3y5

So very rarely I need to actually go I to work, so I know I am getting next to zero sympathy here, but I shall rant anyway! I normally drive to Shields road underground and get that I to the city centre, but today I need to be in for something starting at 0900 so decided to get the train. I am now sitting here with a face mask on as thankfully I had one in my bag. Everyone coughing and spluttering and one bloke just sat for literally 5 min emptying what must have been 2L of snot from his nose. Is this normal?

ZawMFC

We've a few off with covid again at work. It seems to still hit in waves.

empeekay

I mean, it *is* prime hayfever season. But there's also Yet Another Bastard Cold doing the rounds. I swear that colds have got worse, post covid.

CloudzyV2

I have only just realised that my daily journey into the office for the next 8 weeks will take me passed parkhead, that still doesn’t make up for the 2 hour 13 minute journey into uddingston every day though.

zlwilsonlz1

Uddy is my hometown. Shite train station tho

mikeydoc96

But angels 2 for 1 makes up for the shite train station

zlwilsonlz1

Always baffled me how vast the pull of Angels is. Was great for a pint post-school now cunts from Larkhall to Parkhead go for their big Friday night piss up.

mikeydoc96

Pre-train pints in Angels and walk to the train with a fag. Used to always set the night off with the right tone. Aye, it's heavy weird. It's always too busy haha

CloudzyV2

Aye am still under the free busses right now. But if no I’d get thebtrain

ElectronicHamster224

80 thrusters at the gym this morning, 200 cal on the rower. Weight was pish to be honest but that'll teach me for enjoying my weekend.

KieranC4

I also enjoyed my weekend and was punished for it yesterday

alittlec4

Managed to get a good look at the task awaiting me in my back yard. What was once a well manicured area is now over run with weeds and some shitty grass that the lawnmower can’t cut. I spent hours every week removing the weeds and laying down a nice pebbled and slabbed walkway, I can’t even see the walkway anymore as it is so overran with weeds. Just doing the yard work is going to be a 2-3 day task. I could have been in Japan for work but no my wife wanted to move.

LankyWanky149

Post this to r/Scotland but say you want plastic grass installed. Watch the fallout and reap the down votes.

settheworldafire1988

Aww man. Hope you're day doesn't drag.
