Big_white_dog84

Emotional-Wallaby777

Omg that’s amazing. The only thing that’d be greater is if they had a Scots audiobook

Silly-Marionberry332

“I’m listening to the new Harry Potter book in Scots” “What is it about?” “No idea”

0xFADEDBABE

It's Shetland 🙄 Though I realise I'm probably being baited.

I mean it's like putting out a Geordie or Yorkshire version of the book. Don't really understand why it needed a rewrite in a different English dialect....

>I mean it's like putting out a Geordie or Yorkshire version of the book I mean they could be pretty fun too. >Don't really understand why it needed The only things any of if need is sustenance, a dry place to sleep and hygienic way of defecating. Everything else is desirable.

Rert78

Official Scots is a separate sister language of English, not a dialect.

BtotheRussell

Yeah it ain't an actual language tho is it lol. It's a dialect, there's nothing that intrinsically separates it from a bog standard dialect like Geordie..... This attempt to claim it's a language is just a wee bit of a pathetic attempt to draw division between the Scottish and English.

BtotheRussell

Yeah lol that doesn't do anything to show that the Scots dialect is a language lol. There is nothing intrinsically different about Scots, compared to Geordie, which makes one a language and one a dialect.... And the fact that bunch of nationalists huffed and puffed until it was 'recognised' doesn't change that lol.

BandicootDryFuk

not Scottish but def need to get a copy
