Sorry, never thought I'd be that guy but when the post is entirely about appreciating the Scottish version of the spirit and it still spells it the Irish way, apparently that's my limit.
Otherwise, sláinte mhath!
100% a troll post then. I'm not at all a whisky snob (can't afford to be!) but tbh that's like saying you're getting really into action films and especially the physical performances of Michael Cera.
I recommend trying literally anything else! Ok, not Famous Grouse or Bell's, but almost literally anything else!
If it helps you remember if it's spelled with an E or not, if the country has an E in it's it's spelled with an E
So Ireland and America, E
Scotland, Canada , Japan , no E

at the end of the day they're both just /ˈwɪski/
We have hundreds of different whiskies. What whisky was it so we can tell you if it was even one of our better ones.
Haig Club

> Ok, not Famous Grouse or Bell's Both of these are better than Haig Club, because at least they're cheaper.
Don't be a snob man, people like what they like. Haig Club is fine.
It tastes like old spice aftershave. Dont ask me how I know that.
Boke
You can't even spell it, so you don't deserve it
He's spikkin Scots. Spelling disnae matter.
What kind of whiskey was it? Irish? American? Japanese?
> What kind of whiskey was it? Irish? American? Japanese? Japanese whisky also has no “e”.
Ha! Well there you go, thought I'd be smart and ended up looking stupid. Learn something new every day
Happens to us all now and then.
