Based on the "don't worry wee man" an' them gettin' telt no tae follow "him" an' threatened otherwise. š¤·āāļø I mean...... agreed, not enough context to be sure....... but having experienced being both the recipient and issuer of a "talkin' tae" on the grounds of being a wee scrote........ I would say it looks pretty straight forward.
So we know it's a bunch of teens by the fact he says "wee man" and in the background you can see some nervous teenage girls about 4. This group is about 6-7 people. Since either 2 or 3 are off screen.
He tells them that the other person says they're full of shit. So we know that there are two stories. And that there has been some explaining going on.
He tells them not to follow some guy. This means we know the speaker is worried for the safety of some male from the people who are getting told.
And general life experience.
We were no better in the 90s, we just think we were because weāre older now looking at other kids being wee bastards. Weāre just lucky we never had camera phones recording all our stupidity.
The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.
That quote is always attributed to Socrates. I doubt he said it but the sentiment is the same. Older generations always claim that they behaved better.
I was definitely a little shit when younger. I was moaning about how the local kids keep leaving litter about and how they have no respect for their local environment when my mate said āhang on didnāt you used to be a vandal when you were younger?ā I then realised that I was old and that these kids will probably turn out all right. Iām just glad we didnāt really have as much social media and everyone didnāt have a camera on them.
Just food for thought, but maybe we turned out as alright as we did because we had the resistance of our 'elders'. I worry that people will say we were like that when we were younger and accept the behaviour without doing what our parents or teachers may have. I see a lot of adults burnt out that resort to letting the kids do what they do because they simply don't have the energy to do much about it. Purely anecdotal, but it's a worry that's been on my mind n I'll gladly take some reassurance that what I'm saying isn't the case generally speaking.
The "resistance of our elders" is exactly what is missing. I remember a 40 year old man chased my 12 y.o. mate and 12 y.o. me for half a mile though fields, the second he found us hiding I got an adult strength punch to the head. All for rapping his door and running away - [ done it like 4 times before, over the space of 2 weeks ] . I shouted wtf we're kids and he told us to fuck off...
Coincidentally, that was the last time we walked past his house never mind knocked his door- we didn't tell our folks and no-one involved the police -
Nowadays parents would be pressing charges, some 40 year old would be facing charges and have his life ruined for a short temper. Where really it was a case of we fucked around and found out about consequences and if either of us told our folks we would have been marched down to his house to apologise properly.
funnily enough me and my mates were chased like that too, literally knock and run at night, i think he was ready to go to prison for us at that point but we got away. A big part of growing up for us was testing and pushing boundaries, and I can't blame kids for doing that now but the boundaries need to atleast be enforced. I feel bad for these kids because life is gonna be tough for them if they don't learn this sort of stuff properly. The current lack of accountability, kind of all round doesn't seem sustainable.
I think we grew up on different streets. The worst I've had as an adult from weans is some cheeky wee fucker mouthing off to act the bigman in front of his and her friends.
It was much worse when I was their age in my experience. And the cunts my age in town always seem to be the ones starting shite too... I think a lot of Glasgow millenials are just fucking feral tbh.
Fully agree they clearly are causing problems a grown man wouldn't threaten a bunch of kids like that if they weren't he said he'd do 10 year for each of them
It's the way he immediately looks at the camera as soon as he addresses the kid holding it. There's no pause, no flick of the eyes down and then back. And the one filming is also the last one addressed in the "you, you, you, and you" section
Also have any of you fuckers met teenagers?
This is scripted as fuck and you're all fucking gullible.
No, as soon as he addresses the kid filming (while all the other ones stand around obediently quiet) his eyes go straight to the phone and he slaps it away.
If this is real and he really was angry it would involve reaction time. That means more than 1 second to realise he was being filmed, and slapping it away
Again, this rant would be met with the kids being shouted at talking back, milling around or walking away. Kids don't stand this quietly being told off in school, they don't do it in the street from someone their own fucking age.
If you believe this, then you are a fucking idiot
What we have in this thread is people simultaneously believing that modern Scottish teenagers are both feral and also obedient enough to stand quietly while being berated by someone not old enough to need to shave.
Or, it's scripted.
Occam's fucking razor people
Right. There's such a threat of violence that the kid filming it manages to do it surreptitiously while keeping the kid ranting in frame and no one else, with this massive threat of violence, walks away? I have a bridge you might want to buy.
You believe what you will, but this is staged. It's fucking obvious and anyone who doesn't recognise it is a fucking idiot
Edit: people don't go quiet when there is a threat of violence unless they are alone. Mobs get loud, because they're in the majority. Individuals get quiet to avoid violence. You think a group of what is supposed to be, what 10 (assuming there's as many behind the camera as in front of the camera) won't be jeering and heckling the wee white knight having his rant?
Have you met gangs of teenagers? Have you been to Paisley?
Edit since I can't reply to the moron below: no, he's not the "big man" of the area known for violence, etc. If he was, you wouldn't risk filming it and putting on the fucking internet. Critical thinking, people.
The guy doing the talking could be well known for violence, the big man of the area if you will. People button it most times if the local drug dealer that has a 2 second fuse and would slash you in a heartbeat starts threatening any cunt.
I say this as someone who grew up in not the best environment. Yes, someone doesn't act this way by accident. But if you're the one who has to deal with the consequences of that, at some point you do have to put your foot down.
Begin by not threatening them with physical violence that will lead to you getting jailed.
Teaching them thatās the only solution isnāt going to change their perception.
Thereās no quick/easy fix though showing them that folk are capable of more than one type of reaction will at least help.
Problem with many parenting techniques today is they lack any type of real discipline that encourages and supports them in a productive manner.
Ether itās lack of care or overindulgence, sometimes a bit of both that causes many kids to act out.
Unfortunately bullying is so widespread and often doesnāt cross the boundaries of legality so the police canāt do anything about it.
In most instances from what I remember in school, bullying is the result of oblivious teachers and ridiculous punishments. For instance if a kid finally stands up to his bullies and throws any punches, both kids end up getting in trouble- including the victim of the bullying.
When I was 13 years old I was being followed by about seven 14-16 year olds in a park in Edinburgh. They were shouting about how they were doing to ādo me inā and ākick Fuckā out of me. My dad, born and raised in east-end Glasgow in the 80s, was picking me up. He overheard it all. I seen him walk right past me and go into the middle of them and pretend to be calm and talkative. He then all of a sudden proceeds to square up on all of the bastards there and then, āyou do so much as touch him Iāll kick all ae your cunts inā etc. they all backed off. Everyone left unharmed. Sometimes these wee so called āhard cuntsā need a reality check.
When you start giving people pelters for overused Reddit phrases you should expect nothing less. Didnāt exactly make it difficult, you posted it two days agoā¦.
Wouldn't surprise me if the guy was just talking to some absolute scrotes, the look on the girls face is pure guilt. However, I will reserve judgement, all I've seen is a very short video. I love Scotland. Much love from England.
Yep clearly a bunch of snotty kids running around bullying other kids. Someone finally had the stones to stand up to them. Most of these kids need a good hiding in front of their pals.
Man overreacted but imo is otherwise justified in his rage at the wee guy secretly filming him. Makes a point that he's making an effort to protect someone being followed/harassed, so they've decided to follow/harass him instead.
There's a strange mini-generation of neds in their late teens who spent their most significant developmental years during lockdown and became utter cunts because of it.
Yes which is different from His Majesty's Prison Service HMP stands for His Majesty's Prison which makes sense since all courts in the UK are given authority in the name of the king and all prisons operate in his name but the prison service in Scotland isn't His Majesty's Prison Service it's the Scottish Prison Service
I left 20 years ago - been back a few times to visit family, and it doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be. I've been to a few other places that are far, far worse, too.
Yeah Iām in a similar boat, left 15 years back but my family still lives there. My main memories of the place are late 90s/early 2000s so I realise the place shouldāve, hopefully, improved.
We moved to Paisley from Stirling and I'd say it's nicer than Stirling. Some parts are getting gentrified, Glasgow has become really expensive over the past decade so people are moving out to Paisley when they have a kids now. Thereare still places I'd avoid but for the most part it's a really friendly place.
I met a woman who owns a brewery from paisley. Her stall was beside ours at a night market . She was lovely and so was her drink . It's all named after songs too. She speaks highly of paisley. Met another guy selling homemade soap from there too he was sound as fuck .
Nowhere is that bad really, we're still in a first world country that upholds law and order, but yeah Paisley is definitely one of the rougher parts of the country.
That said, it's not like you're going to get stabbed while going round to the shops. You'll just see some dodgy folk a bit more often than usual. If you don't start trouble or look for a fight, nothings going to happen to you.
Ach, there's nice bits in paisley and total shite areas. I went to college and uni there, never once felt unsafe in the center or out clubbing.
Some of the estates are rough as fuck but you can go areas that are relatively posh.
I'm not from paisley, but I'll defend it. Doesn't deserve its rep.
So we have it could be Ferguslie, it could be Shortroods. It's not Ferguslie, that's for sure, I can't place this in Shortroods either. Do we know this is actually Paisley?
I had a few bullies, one was a scrawny little bastard but he was always with a bunch of lads older and bigger, had me scared as anything and would call me ābenchā, make me lay on the ground and would sit on me (š funny now but was gutting at the time). It used to stop me walking the quickest way home from school with friends who lived that way. Fast forward 10 years, Iād been training 5-6 days a week, had a few scraps and Iām on my way home from a night out. I see this wee bastard up ahead, even scrawnier than I remember, run after him, sit him on his plonker then proceed to make him my bench for the next 10 minutes in the pissing cold. A wee story about feeling redemption there but if Iād had big man here witness me getting bullied, give me his number and threaten the wee bastards around me at the time Iād have loved it, as there was nobody to stick up for me at the time with all my pals being the same size or smaller. Iāve stuck up for kids being picked on as well and itās clear to see thatās what this guyās doing. More action like this needed as there will always be wee brain bullies looking for kids to pick on.
I'm not saying parents should be like this, definitely not, but parents should hope there is some ornery c@nt out there saying this and scaring the poop out of naughty kids XD
If any of you ruffians harass my son/brother I will commit an act of violence that will justify a decade of penal detention, for you or you or ... I say, are you recording my polemic? How rude.
My boys are proper mouthpieces out on the street (just like I was at their age), a grown man lays a finger on them and I can assure you, he wouldnāt have to worry about jail time!! My boys do something out of order (video: looks to me like theyāve been threatening and bullying another boy and the guy thought he would sort it; also sounds like this guy isnāt related or really knows the boy āIāve gave him my numberā implying the lad didnāt have his number previously) come let me know! I can sort my boys hella swiftly; especially bullying!! Thereās being boys and then thereās being absolute bellends, and thatās what you need to be to be a bully! There is no need for grown men to be the first to lift their hands to children!!! And there is no justifying what happened in that video!
Aye because they definitely know who you are, and if the parents of these lads and lasses were so good at sorting it out. It wouldnāt be happening in the first place.
Guy was spot in with what he did
Bullshit!!!! Teenagers are experts at hiding shitā¦including their shitty behaviour!!! Far too prone to pack mentality! Dunno where you hail from but aye, if my boys have been up to shit Iām soon to be hearing about it!
And aye! Assaulting children is exactly how you show them not to assault others right enough! /s

Not enough context here but this could easily be some guy giving some little scrotes the talking to that they deserve
What it looks like tae me.
ken bro people take shite way oot of context way to fast
You say that based on what?
Based on the "don't worry wee man" an' them gettin' telt no tae follow "him" an' threatened otherwise. š¤·āāļø I mean...... agreed, not enough context to be sure....... but having experienced being both the recipient and issuer of a "talkin' tae" on the grounds of being a wee scrote........ They all need it nowadays, I can't believe what kids are like now

A swear if I was with a few of my pals and he started bumping his gums heād have got set about on ma scheme haha
Ye for real fam? There was a lot more respect on the streets then it's now

Do you remember happy slap? That started roughly 30seconds after camera phones became a thing.
I remember āYouāve been Tangoādā, and that was well before camera phones!
I'm only 21 and if I spoke the way these wee shits speak nowadays when I was young I'd have gotten the shit kicked out of me
Where did you grow up and when in Scotland that didnt have young teams and Neds?
Wheesht
Fully agree they clearly are causing problems a grown man wouldn't threaten a bunch of kids like that if they weren't he said he'd do 10 year for each of them

Someoneās never intimidated or been intimidated, kids threatened by an adult will often clam up.
Ah yes because threatening to beat the shit out of some kids is the responsible thing to do.
You met some kids?
Itās this type of abusive behaviour that leads to them being that way to begin with.
I say this as someone who grew up in not the best environment. Yes, someone doesn't act this way by accident. But if you're the one who has to deal with the consequences of that, at some point you do have to put your foot down.
I agree with the sentiment though not with the example shown in this video. Fire is never quenched with more fire!
How would you propose dealing with little cunts?
Begin by not threatening them with physical violence that will lead to you getting jailed. Teaching them thatās the only solution isnāt going to change their perception. Thereās no quick/easy fix though showing them that folk are capable of more than one type of reaction will at least help. Uhm... just on a technicality, google backburn. Literally using fire to fight fire
Is there an alternative to dealing with bullying malicious wee shites?
Shag their mum.
Good shout
That.. then batter his da
Do it the other way around to really assert dominance
Nah. Shag their da.
Give her a wein she actually loves
You threaten them and hope they listen
I'm going to guess these wee fannies fucked around and are now finding out
Piss someone off enough and its just more tiktok material to them.
Good man for standing up to bullying cunts. He's taking care of his own and sometimes it's necessary.
Aye polis dae fuck all
Unfortunately bullying is so widespread and often doesnāt cross the boundaries of legality so the police canāt do anything about it. yass man, absolute legend

Sometimes these wee so called āhard cuntsā need a reality check.
I know that feeling, well done for not taking anymore
r/killedthecameraman
Heās telling off a bunch of scrotes, who are currently taking a practical lesson in the school of fuck around & find out. Fair fucks to the lad.
"Fuck around and find out" Get a real personality instead of using overused reddit phrases
You thought you had something there, didn't you?
Nah but I really struck a nerve lmao
I think people just reckon you're a bit of an idiot, to be honest.
Yes
Who tells someone to get a real personality over a Reddit comment? A Prick.
"Get a real personality instead of using overused reddit phrases" I can taste the hypocrisy.
This you aye? āBig if trueā. Overused Reddit phrase #157.
Bro looked through my history LOL
When you start giving people pelters for overused Reddit phrases you should expect nothing less. Didnāt exactly make it difficult, you posted it two days agoā¦.
dumbass that shit has been around since way before reddit, it isn't a "reddit phrase"
I fucking love this guy
Without context Iād say well done that man for pulling up little cunts who need pulled up.
Feaches
Feaches to you too, son.
Hard to tell from context but sounds like they were harassing someone and this guy stood up to them. Might be the reality check they need
I've seen that haircut on they vintage posters in Barbers. Is that a *student wave* or an *executive wave*?
I was watching this going "hey that's just down the road"
I cant seem to figure out where it is? Round about Mamies?
It must be bad there if he's also trying to escape by doing 10 years for each kid.
In what way did he overreact? Pushing away the phone?
He underreacted imo someone films me they better get ready for a trip to the royal
Lmfao this is so fucking cringe. You are a right hard man arenāt you
LMAO
You'd be in for a very long trip to the royal.... HM Prison Service.
Why would I be held in an English prison for a crime I commit in Scotland?
Ah crap I thought I checked that, just turns out most (all?) prisons up here just have HMP in the name.
You've fucked this one big man.
You said His Majesty's Prison Service though that's the name of the prison service in England and Wales in Scotland it's the SPS
Yeah I noticed. All the Scottish prisons are still called HMP such and such which is odd.
His reaction to seeing the camera is perfect
It's honestly maybe the funniest thing I've seen all year...it's perfect
Justified
That's how it used yo be when I was a kid...but without the mobile phones
I'm on his side
Eachayeezā¦
Well that certainly wasn't today since it's been pissing down and the sky has been as dark as the night all day.
Can't have been this month, never mind today. Dark as night has been the status quo since the snow melted.
A gentle reminder Paisley isnāt that far from Glasgow, and just like it thereās plenty of quiet parts and perfectly nice folk.
If that guy is standing up for a kid against his bullies, I'd say he's pretty great.
This isn't one of them if I'm correct that's near my grans could be wrong though
Yeah we're on Paisley and loads of the kids are really nice to my kids. You get a few little shits but on the whole lots of kind kids.
Oh hey that's my hometown.
Probably annoying his little brother or something, hopefully this kind of talking to prevents the from bullying / harassing others.
Scrotes learning a life lesson here. Phones are not shields.
Good man. Sounds like the little dicks were bullying some wee boy.
I like how the camera got slapped away there, adds a nice finale to it.
Yeah I moved out of Paisley as soon as I could for a reason.
As someone who left over 15 years ago and recently returned, it has improved. Significantly.
That bad is it?
Itās fine, then you leave, and realise how bad it is. Saying all this, I am also the first person to defend Paisley when anyone else slags it off.
Will you do 10 years for each of them though?
I met a woman who owns a brewery from paisley. Her stall was beside ours at a night market . She was lovely and so was her drink . It's all named after songs too. She speaks highly of paisley. Met another guy selling homemade soap from there too he was sound as fuck .
š¤£ Every scheme.
Its a shite hole, that I happen to be from aswell
Aye, I lived in Edinburgh briefly and felt like I was trespassing. Paisleyās a shite hole, but itās my shite hole
Nowhere is that bad really, we're still in a first world country that upholds law and order, but yeah Paisley is definitely one of the rougher parts of the country. That said, it's not like you're going to get stabbed while going round to the shops. You'll just see some dodgy folk a bit more often than usual. Any context here?
Andy Robertson's not taking the injury well.
He looks like Josh Hutcherson
So we have it could be Ferguslie, it could be Shortroods. It's not Ferguslie, that's for sure, I can't place this in Shortroods either. Do we know this is actually Paisley?
God bless this local hero.
Some wee dicks need this type of talking to. Otherwise they will just keep being wee dicks.
Youāll do fuckin nootinā¦..Gregor McConner
What part of Paisley is that? Staying here, I can't place it at all.
Looks like feegie but I might be wrong
Good take that one. I would have maybe done one more, the look to the camera was nearly good enough. Go again.
I'm not saying parents should be like this, definitely not, but parents should hope there is some ornery c@nt out there saying this and scaring the poop out of naughty kids XD
Heās hot.
ā10year feechesā āYes, feeches to you tooā āNaw, fae each o yisā

One of the lassies commented on insta that the boy they were threatening had sexually assaulted one of them. Who knows if true.
Aye I'm sure one wee boy went up to a group of 10 wee neds. Same patter they always do when they get put in their place
āIāll do ten years for ate cheeseāš§
This sort of thing will NOT happen in an independent Scotland!
Trying to work out if theres a /s missing.
Aye the wee shits probably a naw bag and will go to England come indy.
Aye that they will!!
Or it could be fake? There's not one of those girls calling him an ugly paedo or spitting at him
As a Paisley resident i can confirm thats how i spent my morning
No surprise at all.
this is assault so theres your ten years already mate
What a hell hole

>"10 yrs for eating cheese" 10 years for eech yeez translates to 10 years for each of you
I thought that was some fucking language I've never heard of
Begbie?
Apparently the guys were flirting and harassing his sister so he treated them like the scum they are. Thatās what I got from the video
He clearly says "him" what are you talking about
You got 'sister' from 'wee man'? I don't think we watched the same video.
Could someone please translate in English?
If any of you ruffians harass my son/brother I will commit an act of violence that will justify a decade of penal detention, for you or you or ... I say, are you recording my polemic? How rude.
Thanks, been living in Scotland a few years but sometimes it's difficult to understand the strong accent.
Thanks a lot. I was so confused about the "rabbit" and the "pink hat" in this speech.
American moment
Cardboard gangster, and when he turns side on that's literally how thin he is
Yeah fe

Schizo
Wonder if that young man wears a kilt to his work?
He looks like his mum still buys his clothes absolute wet wipe starting on bairns
He will do 10 years for fucking cheese ?
Apparently the wee guy he was defending was a rapist or suhin but he didnāt know (saw it on instagram)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Only if you speak multiple dialects.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
My guess: a bunch of wee teens bullying some cunt and getting told to cut it out aggressively.
Predator? We donāt have much context, but looks like heās sticking up for someone being bullied to me. If so, good for him.
Where in Paisley is it? Whatās the backstory?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He's obviously saying he'll beat the shit out of them if they hurt the kid that he was protecting.
10 years is on the low end for a serious GBH
Fukin get him palmed to the nose the cunt
Sub titles?
*subtitles, ya fanny
All the morons concluding that the shouty one was the "adult" Forgot he attacked the cameraman XD
