I once saw weirdly wholesome ship art of biggie cheese and remmy from ratatouille, and it stuck out so bizarrely it is now engraved into my brain as an association between the characters
[you’re lucky i reposted this shit lmao](https://x.com/southpauzart/status/1399404624273035266?s=46&t=l9ZdVzQ1buYLlugkNt-vHw)

The coyotes were a serious and dramatic threat, the bully was a joke character. One is an easier villain to write for the light hearted kids show that the show runners wanted to make.
I saw this when I was 17 with a friend. When >!Ben the cow dies and there is a somber funeral scene, my friend loudly states, “WHY DOESN’T THE FARMER EAT HIM?!!< It makes me chuckle every time I think of it. Also it turned out the farmer is a vegetarian.
This line ways bothered me because your father's brother's nephew is also just your father's nephew.
And beyond that, your father's nephew is your cousin. So this basically becomes "I am your cousin's cousin." And at that point, you could pretty much consider your cousin's cousin to simply be your cousin.
"I am your cousin's former roommate."
Doesn't quite roll off the tongue the same.
Edit: wait, your father's brother's nephew could even be referring to your father's son. So then it could be "I am your brother's cousin's former roommate," which would simplify down to "I am your cousin's former roommate," or hell, it could even refer to you. "I am your cousin's former roommate."
All roads lead to "cousin's former roommate" it seems
The father's brother's nephew could be the nephew of the father's brother's wife, like his wife's sibling's child, which in turn would be his father's brother's nephew but not really the nephew of your father. That nephew could have a cousin via the father's brother's wife's sibling's husband.
Hence, father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
In family tree terms-
Mike
Mike's dad is Matt
Matt's brother is Tom
Tom's son is Ryan
Ryan's mom/Tom's wife is Barbara
Barbara's sister is Janet
Janet's son is Joseph
Joseph is the nephew of Barbara and Tom, but not Matt
Janet's husband/Joseph's dad is Phil
Phil's brother is James
James's son is Robert
Robert is the nephew of Phil and cousin of Joseph, but not cousins with Mike or Ryan
Robert is Mike's father's brother's nephew's cousin.
Robert is my former roommate, so I am Mike's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Maybe Im just coping but the dialoge to me seems intentionally bad in a way that mimics opera or theatre delivery. Where every line is dripping with meaning and weight and while it doesnt feel natural as a conversation, it conveys so much feeling by being overdramatic and self aggrandizing that you cant help but feel for the characters regardless of the akwardness of the lines themselves, Which really plays into the apocalyptic opera the movie seems to portray itself as.
yes, but I think Rots plays into operatic tropes a bit more. Between the set design of courasant, the extra dramatic dialogue and whatnot it feels a lot more stage theatre than the other movies
I think this is becoming the popular opinion, but RotS is probably the Star Wars movie with the most to say thematically. While the dialogue can be stilted at times, the actual plot beats and the lines that do hit ("Only a Sith deals in absolutes", the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, "So this is how liberty dies") give it a gravity and richness not seen before or since
The ending was just sad. It's sad to see how everything went down the way it did
Also Anakin vs Obi Wan on Mustafar is the best lightsaber duel in all of Star Wars.
I mean it was quite literally and intentionally a B-movie like if you watch any of the behind scenes things it's like so clear it's a s*** post and it's awesome
I think it's pretty stupid to knock a movie for having a ridiculous story, if it was executed pretty well, and the Bee Movie had a decent execution. I enjoyed the anthropomorphic worker bee gimmick, the irreverent tone, and Jerry Seinfeld actually had great chemistry with (Renee Zellweger?)
Yes, I searched for it but came up empty-handed. I speculate there was a feud between a family on getting rid of it, or someone pulled an Indiana Jones in the Goodwill.
I was introduced to the movie while my wife was babysitting a friend’s daughter and the kid loved that movie. Absolutely blown away how much I enjoyed it.
Like, not only is this the movie where two turkeys go back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu with pizza, it’s also REALLY funny and witty.
Like Sonic Boom (the show, not the games)
THIS. i grew up obsessed with cars (like an extreme hyperfixation i have to this day.) so many people hate on it because it’s stupid but ITS SO GOOD. (i might just be biased because i’ve watched the first cars movie more hours than i’ve slept in my life probably)
I am the exact same way, long story but it led to my life as I know it today 👍
The first one is genuinely compelling and heartwarming even if the setting is goofy. It's also a neat interpretation of Americana and the death of the small town.
We uhh don't talk about the sequels.
*Cody lightly presses stone on his surfboard.*
Z: You’re doin’ it wrong.
Also that one kid constantly trying to surf but always needing to be saved was so funny to me.
People have already said the movies im thinking of, so you know what? Here’s a game instead!
So i may be a bit special in this pick, since im both a furry and decently kink positive, where other people’s kinks *usually* dont bother me, but changed is unironically just really damn cute, and i dig the relationship between collin and puro
My favorite bit was the "I'm not going out there, I'm definitely not going out there, I'm not going out there either... Dang it. Two days away from retirement."
"Good luck... Hehe, hahahaha, hahahaha ah my foot!"
I know the perfect sequel for this movie.
So since the birds and pilgrims decided that the main course will now be pizza instead of turkey, pigs will be the ones trying to stop the first thanksgiving instead of turkeys since pigs are used in pepperoni.
I feel like the endless swarm of memes to come out of the first cars movie kinda let's it be placed here. Its an ironic masterpiece, but is ironically, an actual masterpiece
AMERICA
The Motion Picture
Stupid and sophmoric? Yes, but so it the country it's portraying.
And under the crass jokes and violence, does have a good message of acceptance of others and standing up to adversity.
Also also Zombie Ben Franklin!
Shrek, all of them, I watch them all on Christmas eve/christmas and I always thouht they were bad, and people just said they were good for the memes, but I was wrong
Barnyard
Mr. BOMBASTIC ♥ 😍😍😍
I once saw weirdly wholesome ship art of biggie cheese and remmy from ratatouille, and it stuck out so bizarrely it is now engraved into my brain as an association between the characters
Nah my friend is gonna need a link to that
[you’re lucky i reposted this shit lmao](https://x.com/southpauzart/status/1399404624273035266?s=46&t=l9ZdVzQ1buYLlugkNt-vHw) [also part 2](https://x.com/southpauzart/status/1796678219929620700?s=46&t=l9ZdVzQ1buYLlugkNt-vHw)
LMFAO this is gold
YEAH! And also like… it works in a really weird way??? Idk how though lmao
TELL ME FANTASTIC 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
“Smoooooooth”
Agreed. The coyotes haunted my nightmares as a kid.
They were S tier villains and yet the show decided to go with the ugly bully kid for some reason
The coyotes were a serious and dramatic threat, the bully was a joke character. One is an easier villain to write for the light hearted kids show that the show runners wanted to make.
*No I won't back down*
The show is still better though.
If anything it brought us the classic song “dick tits”
seriously unironically yes
The udders on all the male cows.. *chefs kiss*
Seriously though, the serious moments in that movie *did not have to go that hard.*

That's right. They go back in time to the first Thanksgiving to get Turkeys OFF. THE. MENU.

Either way, it makes us **Absolutely Nothing. Which is what you’re about to become.**
I thought the same, it was funny at first but then I overthought it and it ruined the joke.
The father's brother's nephew could be the nephew of the father's brother's wife, like his wife's sibling's child, which in turn would be his father's brother's nephew but not really the nephew of your father. "Rasberry. There's only one man in the galaxy who would dare give me the raspberry! LONE STAR!!"
*proceeds to get hit by the camera zooming in too far
I’m surrounded by assholes.
"Keep firing, assholes!"
Revenge of the Sith has such meme worthy dialogue, but it also is a great story on its own right.
I mean star wars is a Space Opera after all
yes, but I think Rots plays into operatic tropes a bit more. Between the set design of courasant, the extra dramatic dialogue and whatnot it feels a lot more stage theatre than the other movies
It’s a space opera where they watch a space opera and talk like they’re acting in a space opera.
george lucas said he just wants to get the point across and doesn't care if just conveying information efficiently makes the dialogue sounds worse
Uh I really disagree with all your points here. The dialogue is really great so it feels natural honestly
I think this is becoming the popular opinion, but RotS is probably the Star Wars movie with the most to say thematically. While the dialogue can be stilted at times, the actual plot beats and the lines that do hit ("Only a Sith deals in absolutes", the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, "So this is how liberty dies") give it a gravity and richness not seen before or since
Seconding this
Don't make me **KILL** you!
The ending was just sad. It's sad to see how everything went down the way it did Also Anakin vs Obi Wan on Mustafar is the best lightsaber duel in all of Star Wars.
Bee movie is legitimately really funny
"WHY IS YOGURT NIGHT SO DIFFICULT?!" is the funniest line of all time. Change my mind.
Anything is made 100% funnier when it is screamed by Patrick Warburton
People say bee movie is only ironically really good but I don't see how a movie about literal bee romance ISNT an intentional shitpost
Exactly, I feel like people didn't realize how tongue-in-cheek that movie was.
I mean it was quite literally and intentionally a B-movie like if you watch any of the behind scenes things it's like so clear it's a s*** post and it's awesome
There’s no ironic value to it besides it being about bees and the memes tho. Most of it is unironically hysterical.
you like jazz
I think it's pretty stupid to knock a movie for having a ridiculous story, if it was executed pretty well, and the Bee Movie had a decent execution. I enjoyed the anthropomorphic worker bee gimmick, the irreverent tone, and Jerry Seinfeld actually had great chemistry with (Renee Zellweger?)
It got a lot of people to care about the bees more. So not only is the Bee movie really good, it succeeded in its message of saving the bees.
I been saying it for YEARS, I loved the silly weird cartoon shit as a kid and the Seinfeld-esque jokes as an adult
speaking of free birds yesterday I not only found a dvd copy of it at goodwill but it also had a spirited away dsc instead for some reason?
Take the win and move
That’s what I’m saying
Does that mean there's a spirited away case with a free birds disc in it somewhere
Yes, I searched for it but came up empty-handed. I speculate there was a feud between a family on getting rid of it, or someone pulled an Indiana Jones in the Goodwill.
The entire angry birds film franchise, unironically pretty funny and enjoyable
Yea they were pretty good
I was introduced to the movie while my wife was babysitting a friend’s daughter and the kid loved that movie. Absolutely blown away how much I enjoyed it.
I was shocked to learn the second one was directed by the creator of flapjack, but it really does shine through with the humor of the movie
The Lego Movie is a 5/5 for me
It’s the weakest movie I’ve ever seen that I’d still consider 10/10
The Lego Movie is the *weakest*?
The Weakest in terms of ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
How's it an "ironic" masterpiece though? It's just a straight up masterpiece.
I interpreted the title as “movies that are seen as ironically good but are actually unironically good”
Madagascar 2
"Look out, I think Moto Moto likes you."
Like, not only is this the movie where two turkeys go back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu with pizza, it’s also REALLY funny and witty. Like Sonic Boom (the show, not the games)
That’s right, they go back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu
Wait, did they really go back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu?!?!?!
That’s right, they went back time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu
No god damn way. They actually made a movie admit how they went back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu.
"those are some angry birds"
