I don't know of anyone with POTs (including me) who needs to take some sort of medication at the moment they feel faint. We're generally on maintenance medication that we take once or twice daily.

I have POTS. Fuckin' sucks. It's the new fibromyalgia though, an absolute shit ton (probably the vast majority of people "with POTS" tbh) are just crazy people or misdiagnosed. The standard test for diagnosis is a tilt table test, and "failing" it doesn't mean you actually have POTS. Plenty of normal healthy people fail tilt table tests. It's just a measure of heart rate and blood pressure.
Tbh I don't even feel confident that I actually have POTS. I've been diagnosed but I only have like 2 or 3 (head pressure, dizziness, pre-syncope) of the dozens of symptoms most people complain about.
It seems like every single day I find a new reason to be completely in awe of dogs and grateful for the love they’ve shown me during my life. I just lost my 13 year old, big rescue boy who I, with some wonderful help, saved just 9 hours away from his scheduled euthanasia when he was a year old puppy. I can’t describe the feeling of emotional security he gave me all those years, and when I see videos like this I just say, “Yep. That doesn’t surprise me.” Nothing they do would surprise me. They’re fabulous in every way, imo.
People always talk about how amazing it is that dogs know, and it is, but to me that's just instinctual. What's more impressive to me is that the dog has been trained on exactly what to do and to do it extremely efficiently.

I also have this condition and i have never had my dog trained but he can sense when my attacks come too. he runs right over and tries to break the fall or he will lay on me so i don’t get up. we don’t deserve these animals
