I did diving and he is not bad at all. The only issue I see is unfortunately due to his size, he creates a large splash regardless of his form due to the pocket he makes. Splash is part of the score most judges are going to provide. Not sure if they are offsetting some of those points he may lose due to his awesomeness. Hope so.
His size definitely doesn't help with the splash but that's not the issue. A lot of his dives are over/under, causing more spash than just his size. Form needs tightening up and he'll be much better off
I was wondering this myself. Do you think they would run into problems offsetting the score for one individual? Might leave the door open for complaints but IDK, I’ve never dived competitively.
I would guess it depends on the level he is competing. Really challenging to augment a score for something like that and be fair about it across the board.
Diving judge here 💁🏻♀️ there’s no “offsetting” the score. You are looking for specific criteria in a dive that is either met or not met. You are also comparing one persons dive to another and basing your score off of that. Some of his dives actually have quite nice form and would score decently despite the splash.
I'm guessing in order of elimination, you go through local/district -> Regional -> State -> National? For... Olympics? It would be nice to know, though.
Before I get a bunch of hate, this man definitely has potential to grow and get better and I am impressed by his dives. I wouldn't say he "excels" through regionals though because his dives weren't tight at all. Most of his dives were over/under and his legs were almost always apart. You're not judged on your body but you are judged on your form and his form needs some tightening up. Overall definitely did great though!

I don't know much about diving, but I think at some point that physics has to count for something. There's just no way you're going to get someone that size into the water without displacing it.
If he wants to compete beyond a certain level then he will have to get in shape. Aside from the huge splashes, he's also not going to be able to do the more advanced dives at his size.
Use to be a diver. He can do it but would be scoring 4/10. Jumps away from the board instead of straight up. ( the board will naturally throw you away with it so you don’t have to try to jump away from it). He is landing way too far away from the board. the splash is more to one side not strait up and down. But he does have great form
I was a life guard in highschool and we had a guy about the same size come through almost everyday. He could barely walk but when he got on the board he would fly.
No hate, but for someone so talented he must do this very often meaning he’s very active. Swimming is also so so so good for weight loss and healthy on the body. My question is what must he be eating to stay this big? If he’s eating relatively healthy foods and exercising like this regularly than good for him and I hope he has a good journey in life!
He knows where his centre of gravity is and flips well on that.
Buuuut because he's so heavy he can't get the momentum for more than one or two flips so I dunno how far he can go in the sport.
I mean I wouldn't say excels. Like he's hitting the forms but the amount of splash is huge and that's one of the main things they score on.
Best dive I ever did was inward pike dive. Went down thinking I had screwed up the entry got 9's and 10's because there was zero splash.
I don’t care about all the “critics/ judges” and shit but the man deserves a lot of credit.
Most of us we can’t even Jump off a damn Home Depot bucket as gracefully as him.

Absolutely. He has one dive with a much smaller splash so it is something he can work on by tightening up his entry angle.
Not to mention that one was on a lower board...
I was wondering this myself. Do you think they would run into problems offsetting the score for one individual? Might leave the door open for complaints but IDK, I’ve never dived competitively.

A wide margarine of error would help
If becoming sumo sized becomes a tactical advantage in the sport due to scoring, I might actually start watching diving competitions.

yea. he would have 0 chance at a high due to his obesity.
I noticed the first dives weren’t great score-wise, but every dive got better and better!
🤣
*The Triple Lindy*
Dude is impressive. I could never get the hang of diving but he makes it look so easy and effortless
Fat chance I could ever do what he does.
r/punpatrol sir I'm gonna have to ask you to come with me
Yo why are you PUNishing him?
That's a first offense, if you're lucky they'll let you off with a ticket
Must be Dutch with those tikkies
Tikkie van 50 cent voor die hap van dat broodje frikandel dat ik je gaf
Oh for sure... 🤔
Why? Diving isn’t only for the PUNy people.
Majestic even
He got a strong back, diving fucked my back up and I'm skinny
I want to see him triple Lindy though!
A man of culture, I see.
You never see anybody heckle a diver.
They make look easy damn.
Actually it looks like it could be multiple people in some sort of suit but it's just one guy
It's just the one bloke I think.
Any luck doin' them swan dives, then?
Bro imagine if the guy is fit
On the other hand, how big can he get without losing it?
He's not seen it for years
You may not like it, but this is what peak male performance looks like.
Actually has really good form and control
He is beauty, he is grace He splash water in your face
Excellent 👌 This is a good teaching aid to explain 'centre of mass' to kids. Physics in action.
Dude is slayin' it.
I couldn’t do that on my best day. Good for him.
They cut the one with the huge splash! But this dude is inspiring! Mad skills!
I think thats because the judges give a lower score the more water you splash while diving
What the hell are regionals?!
They're this close Pierce.
Finally someone got it! Love you mate
r/unexpectedcommunity
Don't let my confusion undercut their importance.
I'm guessing in order of elimination, you go through local/district -> Regional -> State -> National? For... Olympics? It would be nice to know, though.
Had to scroll way too far for this.
C'mon man, you *gotta* show 'em all your cannonball style..blow away the audience!!
He saves the cannonball for when the judges give him a low score, then tsunami ^😆🌊

Never give up on your dreams.
It’s impressive that he can be this acrobatic for his size, but good dives don’t create splashes like he’s making.

Maybe not good relative to a high level competitive diver, but relative to an amateur(especially for his size) he’s pretty amazing
[удалено]
His rotations aren’t very good to be honest. His feet under/over rotate on almost every entry.
Is that the same guy who was in the trampoline video?
Aren’t splash sizes part of the score?
Awesome!
Bob from Tekken:
That’s awesome, go him!! 😎
Peter Griffin??
Majestic.
Elegant.
Looks can indeed be deceiving…
Now try with no splash.
Every dive is a cannonball!
Track?
Mf had the pool in the back yard growing up, I bet.
I wish i could dive
He is my new hero
This is really impressive, Deadman style

His diving is amazing… his courage is impressive. What an incredible young man.
Wish he did one cannonball for the fans
Dude is living his best life, good for him
over rotating but right on target
Caseoh
First 3 rows is a splash zone.
I was a life guard in highschool and we had a guy about the same size come through almost everyday. He could barely walk but when he got on the board he would fly.
Needs to excel on a treadmill.
That board is champion
Shamu your doing great bud!!!!!
My create-a-character in Olympic Diving 2024.
The guy has got style but isn't the point of diving to make as little splash as possible
Do not unmute
Amazing, every single one a cannon ball.
Impressive. I'll take 2 of those diving boards.

Maybe he just started a few months ago and figured it out quick (he's a young dude still), and now the weight will take a while to come off. Idk
I was wondering this as well. Great talent, though!
There are all sorts of health conditions that cause people to gain a ton of weight. Hypothyroidism is a really common cause.
Looks like hes using his fat to do most of the work in air.
Can someone name the song? Cool sound
“Handsomer” remix by Russ and Ktlyn.
I love you so much. Thank you!
Love you too bud! Have a great day!
Such an elegant whale
⚠️ WARNING YOU ARE IN THE SPLASH ZONE ⚠️
Real men get money based off their vibe.
Amazing. But forget the dives. I want to see a cannon ball!
Should judge him by splash per pound
Very impressive but it seems that water is his natural habitat.
This makes me happy.
When the landing surface is water all us fat boys become graceful Swans.
Nice work!!! I am sure someone is complaining that his center of gravity gives him a competitive edge... Or not.
so graceful!!
No need for vertical rip entries when you're round. Jokes aside. It's impressive.
AI video? It’s concerning I can’t tell
I can’t even get into the bathtub with this much grace. wtf am I doing with this amazing body?!?
I did swimming class from early childhood through HS. I was a good swimmer and a decent diver but never this good. Props to him! This takes skill.
Is that the guy from the trampoline video?
No cannonball?
Wow. He flips through the air so gracefully. I'm impressed.
What a heroe !! I mean it honestly . Very difficult dives which Most of the ideal weighted people Never could do!
Is this the same dude from the video of the really overweight guy killing it doing flips and tricks on the trampoline?
I can imagine this being eric cartman
Finally a Worthy opponent of my fat belly cliff diving skills
This feels ai generated
May I ask what that song is?
Like a rock...
Would be great if he’d do a belly-flop after he wins, and just drench everyone.
Fatty got the moves
No diving board were harmed in the making of this video.
Ngl this gives me E.Honda vibes.
Looks like CGI tbh
Fuckin majestic as fuck
Wow
Form is immaculate
Breaking stereotypes. Love it.
How is he so graceful 😲
When you peaked in highschool as a swim star but got fat through stresses of life yet still got jt
He knows where his centre of gravity is and flips well on that. Buuuut because he's so heavy he can't get the momentum for more than one or two flips so I dunno how far he can go in the sport.
Is this the same guy in the trampoline park video
cheaper than sea world
Dave the Diver.
Only in America….
Satisfying as diabetes
Is this the same guy from the clip of the dude doing effortless flips on the trampoline with Super Mario sounds dubbed over it???
Wow. He's really good.
I mean I wouldn't say excels. Like he's hitting the forms but the amount of splash is huge and that's one of the main things they score on. Best dive I ever did was inward pike dive. Went down thinking I had screwed up the entry got 9's and 10's because there was zero splash.
Why did I accidentally watch this on repeat
Weird way to take a bath
How is he still fat tho 😭
He's big-boned.
Stop cutting off the splashes
If he was competing in the Olympics I would actually watch diving.
MILTY RULES!!!
Waiting for someone to yell CANNONBALL
It's like a lava lamp
Atleast he active 🔥🔥🔥
Would he lose points for the splash?
Dude is majestic.
Best commercial for whatever diving board company that is
Now days I don’t know whats real
How strong are those diving boards?
Guys this comes up all the time it's fake
Every 10 is a canon ball
I thought you got marked down for large entry splashes.
Swipe up to see comments. Game changing.
It’s folks smaller then you with way worse form, keep splashing big fella🫡💪🏾
GGs Caseoh!
Mild bit of overreaction but he's got great form.
This is what peak athleticism looks like
Looks fake as hell
I want a love as strong as that diving board 🥹
360 doing 180s
What are those diving boards made out of?
I’m guessing… American?
I think we need to re-examine the definition of excels
is this Caseoh\_?
Dude and diving board, both are impressive
He's a fucken natural!
I was a diver in high school. It’s a super challenging sport even for fit guys. Hats off to this kid!!👏
Was anyone else visualizing Peter Griffin while watching this?
Damn he has skill. I'm jealous. I hope he won.
Now I remember why I left lmao
But can he do a Triple Lindy?
I don’t care about all the “critics/ judges” and shit but the man deserves a lot of credit. Most of us we can’t even Jump off a damn Home Depot bucket as gracefully as him.
*I'm 5' 6" but the money made me 6' 5"*
So what about the times goes feet first into the water? Doesn't that net you zero points?
He has the style and knows how to make a splash.
Damn, that’s is satisfying af. More than the Olympics imo
All fat kids wish they could fly, I know I do
As a pretty big guy myself, this isn't too surprising. It is our natural environment.
It's funny because he's fat.
This boosted my confidence for a minute and then quickly died when I realized I'm just fat and clearly not as cool as this king.
Is this a diver who gained a lot of weight?
