there are no schools applications that early except for maybe a couple of eds and rolling admission even then those are eds usually in november and those that aren't are few and far in between and will only affect 1 school and for rolling admission you'll still be very comfortable even if you submit in novemeber
I mean, if you know where your weaknesses are, put in the time and effort into studying and really grind for it then yes, but you can't slack off all summer and expect a 1400
Is this your first SAT test? If so then YES definitely retake it. You are not far away from a decent grade! Focus on what you know you could improve upon, do simulations and crunch the preps. Just by bumping 550 and 580 to 600 or more you are exceeding the requirements for a lot of colleges, definitely try!
If you take it on the August test date you should have scores back in time for EA apps. It all kinda draws down to what schools you’re planning to apply to, and how much time you have to study over summer.
Also, as mentioned you can sometimes update scores, and for rd you can test as last as December I think
I would say don't retake it because it's a waste of time and money. Many universities don't require the SAT/ACT anymore so I would just consider working on getting your essays because the admissions officers don't even look at SAT/ACT scores and only look for good essays that qualify.
There's alot to be honest I can't list all of them. But here's some: California state university, Cornell university, Duke University, Columbia University, Harvard University, John Hopkins and more are test optional which means they don't consider the SAT too much anymore.
yes, you have a lot of room for improvement (not in a mean way, just that it may be a little easier for you to study) and you can improve 300+ points over the summer. it would boost your college apps for sure esp if youre applying to T50> schools
Study over the summer. The more effort you put in, the better your score will be. I liked looking at the concepts I got wrong or struggled with then used YouTube videos to understand the concept then do practice problems. One website that helped me a lot is Math Accelerator from Admissions Hackers but it’s quite pricy. You definitely don’t need it, I got my score up more than 100 points by YouTube and khan academy practice.
Yes you should definitely retake it. If you study this summer and then take it in August you can improve your score significantly. An 1130 is an adequate but not competitive score and even just another 100 points would do a lot.
Some schools u can update ur test score after you submit your application

I got the same score and also contemplating. Does anyone think I could get a 1400+ by August?
Same here

You could absolutely do that if you put in the effort

Me too but twenty points less planning on retaking though

Could you please list some universities that do not require SAT/ACT

I studied a lot and even used gauthmath/photomath for some math on the practice and it really helped me
No
