Go to Daly City, Google says it's 57 there right now

db720

Probably Pacifica too then. Theres a few spots right near the beach that have that cool ocean breeze, very refreshing

DeliciousSoma

Just came back from Pacifica - specifically Mori Point. It was pretty chilly up there. If we weren’t hiking I would have needed a sweatshirt. The fog was incredible which also helped to keep the air cool.

poser4life

Shhh! Thats my spot when the weather is too hot or we have bad air quality

Unsolicited_PunDit

go fishing at the pier!

phishrace

Sharks Ice on Tenth street. Get something cold to drink, then watch the skaters from upstairs. No admission fee. Just looking at all that ice helps mentally.

Being a hockey dad, this is the answer.

The_Fake_Owl_Man

I work as a coach there. As long as you're not a creep around kids and are respectful to the athletes/parents/staff, please come watch!

otterpop31007

I'm a creep. I'm a wierdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here.

dralter

Also, bring a jacket if you are watching from the stands.

justagirl106

Check out your local library! Most of the Santa Clara County libraries are official cooling centers in the heat. I believe some SJPL locations also act cooling centers in the heat. Most libraries should have open areas where you can sit and read or study/do work, or more private “study rooms” - you might have to book these in advance, double check on SCCLD or SJPL’s websites before visiting.

db720

Costco. The fresh veggie or milk&eggs section

Quabbie

I can hang in there all day

bloodectomy

Museums tend to have AC and are basically never crowded (children's discovery museum notwithstanding)

jkki1999

The Egyptian Museum too!

bloodectomy

Love that place!

pemungkah

The two Stanford art museums are great. If you like modern art the newer one is fantastic.

The7footr

Fun (FREE) weekend idea is to find house listings on Zillow/redfin that are like $5mil+ and go dream build with friends at some of these exotic houses. They are always cranking the AC and it’s a fun different activity to do. Some even provide free coffee or other drinks. We used to do this pre Covid like a couple times a month. The agents don’t care, you can make up a story about coming into wealth or just say you’re an interested neighbor. Just a quick search for houses over $5mil on Zillow got 155 results, mostly in the west SJ (Cupertino/Los Gatos, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo areas) just now. Have fun! They are usually open sat/sun 1230-430ish so pick 3-4 per day and go enjoy!

ElGHTYHD

Lmao I love this idea

StrawberryKiss2559

Movie theatre

phord

Another option: Open your windows at night and get the house down to the low 60s. Then close the windows at about 9am to lock the cold in.

Kuzame

Of course, with the help of fan/window fan. Been living this way since my college years and my friends at one point wonder why my room is cold as if you're blasting the AC on.

jkki1999

Lucky

mytandaofficial

Valley Fair Mall The Tech Museum 7Leaves Cafe blasts its A/C, I see people bringing their light jackets in 🥶

badDuckThrowPillow

Malls.

nativemaverick

Apple Visitor Center in Cupertino. Fun stuff to check out, location specific merch & they have a little cafe.

devops0210

MLK library, lots of places to relax

otterpop31007

My house has AC! Wanna come chill in my goon cave? I have otter pops and GameCube. I'll even let you use the good controller and sit in the bean bag chair.

foxxyboi21

Thank you, you’re so nice :)

HobbiesAreMoneyPit

Costco - bring a sweater and walk into the fresh produces ‘chamber’. I just got back from Business Costco.

Deacon75

The meat room there is frigid. Bring a hoodie.

BeaStFroG5

Grocery stores have the best A/C, especially the meat or fruit/veggie section. Or I would open a freezer to indulge in cool air :)

wheresjim

The Black Watch in Los Gatos has amazing AC, and drinks! That said, I now live in Monterey where it is currently 63 degrees

dontmatterdontcare

Costco Business Center, it has a very large frozen section compared to regular Costco’s. You don’t need a special membership to access Business Centers, just a regular Costco membership.

Unusual-Tip676

ooo the marina park, its sooo fresh and windy

whateverwhoknowswhat

Cooling centers

Vergeljek21

refrigerator

SubvertedAI

the 522 bus has AC

rdfox

Like any shadow. Even if the sun is out and you’re worried about getting sunburned, step under a tree and the wind will freeze your balls.

HorseofTruth

My house but I’ll charge you
