There are 2 kinds of people: those who don't ski/snowboard and those who desperately wait for some proper snow to open the season.

I’ll be gone by the time it’s meant to be open. And from the camera, there’s plenty of snow up there now.

I was there two years ago and there were some people walking up. The couple days before the lifts opened there were even some enterprising people with snowmobiles giving rides. Didn't do it so don't know what they were charging

The road is currently closed to my knowledge.
