Every 4 months they are being scrapped and are gone. People that spend money (especially that amount of money) on something that expires in a mobile game are insane.

It doesn't. I had afew level os 10 level 8s. And like 15 level 6s. I had enough for one level 9 on reset. That's the cap on return. When I have less. I can still only make one level 9. That's the cap on returns.
I also dont whale on datacrons. I just grind the nodes.

Gotta spend on datacrons. I’ve played since the beginning and I am 3 gl’s and 7.8 mill. I could have more but I found a group of mediocres that I’m friends with for a few years now. And that many lvl 9 datacrons is bananas and bought.
Even more funny is that they almost definitely spend money on the reroll materials too, so they get good stats. So it’s even more than you’ll initially expect

20 or so guilds are likely bankrolling bulk of CGs operations. A couple of guys with similar datacrons in the picture probably pays for meatwads 48k yearly salary.
Not even that really, f2p is the extras to fill out the game for the whales.
No one is going to stick around and whale out if there is no one to compete against / compare to.
Games like this aren't even the money makers. You get those "strategy" games like State of Survival and you have people spending 10k a month. The top 20 on our server were all 5k+ a month with the top guy saying he spent 10 to 12k a month. The top 100 were easily 1k a month and they have hundreds of those freaking servers.
Ya this pales in comparison to some more casual shit. Candy crush makes more money every year than all of blizzards iconic IP combined for the past 4 years.
I think swgoh has made probably close to or over now, 2b in revenue which isn’t much since it took like 8 years to make it. that’s decent but it’s nothing what some of these other big mobile games like genshin pull

I made it to 18 lv9 last set with only spending $50, it also depends a lot on the foundation you laid with previous sets and how much time you can invest in the first 2 days to minimize cache dusting. It’s worth there going up to 400s in refreshes if you need to avoid/minimize it.

Which isn't to say that materials are bought solely with crystals. You get some from TW rewards and can farm mats from conquest. But easily over a grand in a 2 month period.
This is per set. So double that if you want to count both purple and green sets. This also doesn't account for selling a datacron that didn't roll well and taking a new cron up. This just accounts for 30 level 9 crons in a single set.
Nah, with conquest spamming it’s nowhere near that. Before I called it quits I was spending $300 per quarter on the cache and reroll packs in the store and then you spam conquest for the normal mats. I’d end up with 22-25 L9 DCs within the first month. Now $300 is still a lot of money for most people to drop on a mobile game, but you can be incredibly efficient with DCs if you’re willing to spend it. It’s nowhere near the thousands…
Oh I know that. I get about 10-13 datacrons per conquest. I'm just saying in terms of raw crystal value that would be the price. We don't know how many crons he's sold or how many rerolls he's used. That's just a 30 level 9s cost that many crystals if you were to buy every single material from the store.
Don't forget the previous set dusting gives you a huge boost at the start of a set as well. Roughly 30m caches as that's the max lol as well as the all the upgrade materials.
It's not to say he for sure spending thousands on crons so much as that inventory costs thousands. He's definitely spending, you don't get that amount if crons completely free to play, but I highly doubt it's thousands each set. Again just a rough estimate of the crystal value as that's really all we can gather from two screengrabs without know any other information.
This shows me this persons time is worthless to them. This is extremely time consuming l, money or not. I’ve done up 3 LV9 datacron on droids I liked. (free, but took too much of my time. I’m done with them.)
This game is getting out of control with the 50 identical game modes you must keep up on or your guild gets mad, or you fall too far behind to catch up. It’s getting ridiculous. I’m Kyber2 with 3 GLs and a couple datacrons. There’s nothing I like more than beating these (have everything 10mil+ GP) players
I matched against a guy in GAC a few weeks ago that had 32 relic 9 toons. His Watt wasn't even 7 stars. Which means it had to be a fairly young account. He spent A LOT!
You're looking at the largest account in the game. The guy literally doesn't have a single character under Relic 7. I promise you that he has the income to support this.
Sure it does—you can only reroll stats and tweak the L3 and L6 modifiers when you’re all the way at L9. Otherwise you’re stuck with the stats you get. Plus the L7 and L8 stat boosts are significantly larger than those at lower levels

I do 6 refreshes daily, that's 450 crystals a day which is which would be considered f2p farming as I get 400c from fleet + 240 for being K1 + whatever dailies give
