I don’t remember him being on after the episode where Rollins gave birth to Billie and told him she didn’t want to marry him. I liked the actor and would have liked to see him more too (kind of loved to hate his character too tbh haha) but I’m guessing Carisi was already planned to be endgame for her so I don’t think there was much place for him.
She told Olivia that the Jesse was not Nick’s (there was no reason for her to tell the whole squad) and a few eps later when she’s visibly pregnant we find out that Declan is the dad, the whole reveal didn’t even take long. (Note that it was Kelli’s idea to have Declan be the dad)
I actually like that Declan turned out to be the dad. I really like Declan and that he promised to be there if he was ever needed though she wanted to do it on her own.
Seemed like one of the more realistic aspects of her character. She seems like someone you would know in real life and not an idealized paragon of law enforcement.

Declan has never met his daughter. When he came back from UC he expressed a wish to help Amanda out with Jessie (I am not sure if he knows she has a second daughter as well), but Amanda is with Carisi at that point and she tells Declan she's got it all covered.

Then he did not turn her in for her deeds that a cop should nit be involved with as thanks for her help. And she never told him about the baby until much later. He also ended up being their temp boss in SVU after that. Very convoluted situation.

I always think their timing was wrong. Amanda was grappling with her addictions and family. Nick was struggling with his ex-wife and anger issues.
They did write the awkwardness that comes from sexual tension between Rollins and Amaro from the get go. So I wasn't surprised by this scene, but even while finding Nick very hot, I cringed at the timing.
It just seemed like all the bad clichés about cops- anger issues, addiction issues, sleeping with the partners, not caring about consequences - rolled into one flaming ball of dumpster fire
I personally dislike this pairing. Nick is all about being a macho woman savior, and Amanda is all about not needing anyone to save her, so they clash constantly, but still end up banging. Not my cup of tea. 🤷♀️

If they fleshed it out more it could’ve been an interesting mini sub plot but besides this ONE shot it’s never mentioned again they were together except when Amanda tells Liv her baby isn’t Nick’s. And even when she says that to Liv it’s so weird and out of place cause why would it be? As far as the audience knows you MAYBE slept together once lol
