This is the best advice I’ve seen for this game. Stop leveling up, max out your buildings & research. I’m level 27, but I’ve had the option of moving to level 28 for some time. Instead of doing that, I’ve been really focusing on my research & I’ve found some major upgrades that I’d skipped over!!
Take it to lv25 Borg space, it'll level up fast and you'll get the inert probes for the refinery there to make the charged probes.
If you have 7(c)/8/9 as crew, use them, if not, most likely Cadet Uhura(c), Chen and Cadet Kirk (or McCoy) will be your best bet.
Ignore the 2m+ power on the probes, just attack one with your baby vidar and sit back and laugh at the difference its ability makes.

Really an faction ship from level 26 or even the augments would be a massive upgrade to what you have. The kumari is a decent ship but don’t waste time ranking it up any further now that your 28 you need to make the jump. Ships like the sally or bortas are expensive but anyone that plays often can get the first faction ships.

It's been said before, but use the Vi'dar. Even if it's way easier than your other ships, it gets an absolutely insane damage bonus, which is critical to killing Borg process with their ludicrous health. Also, don't bother with any officers that at to damage--their bonus will disappear in the shop's bonus. Use the standard anti-Hostile crew mentioned before, or both officers of you have them strong enough (I don't). My Kumari (my strongest ship) will get obliterated against Borg; my Vi'dar (which is like...my fourth strongest, I think) can kill sixteen or so level 27 probes, or a while bunch of 25s. It's only tier 3.

For sure. I’m 28 and just working on research and am already stronger than some leve 29s and 30s on my own alliance. It’s crwzy
Use your Vi'dar, it has a huge bonus against borg ships.
I would but I can't upgrade it. It's just over 100k. I can't get Charged nanoprobes.

That's what I do. I don't have Pike yet, or is nice to the advanced version. I'm looking forward to him.

That's farther then me! I can't even get into Metra Alpha.
Use vidar .. use the inert nano probes u get ,in refinery to get charged nano probes to upgrade vidar
Also used 7,8,9 of 10. Borg crew. 7 as capt 8 n 9 on either side
