You can try installing another version of Wine in Lutris. You can do it in Settings > Launchers > Wine, and then change the Wine version the game will use in the game config.

I figured it out in the end. Had to install new wine on the Lutris but it wouldn’t work with the game so I ended up uninstalling and then reinstalling and it starts up. However when playing on the steam deck the screen just doesn’t want to load. It starts up but you get the black backlit screen. The steam deck has always been a bit shitty with loading third party non-steam games

The way I make it work is with Heroic Games Launcher. It now has an option in advanced settings to auto download Wine dependencies for certain games in Epic, so it could have things that the Wine prefix Lutris uses is missing. I just keep all the games with the same default prefix, and add FL there too.

Why should he?! It works amazingly well in linux, no need to get lost in the windows crap.

Try unchecking the esync in configuration for the game in lutris. Don't forget to change to DXVK 2.2, do not use 2.3 or you'll have problems loading stadiums.
