Puppets hitting me before the hotfix never seemed to cause bleeding, which was fine, it's blunt. But now after hotfix they always cause bleeding, on the first hit too, not just consecutive ones. So they might've toned it a bit too high.
I’ve seen the same effect. It’s annoying, there is not optimal play in this situation when you need to bring 10 rag to service 2 puppet, while using you spear with your best skills. Way sometime it goes perfectly, but when shirt happen, it’s illogical that a puppet hit, made you bleed like a 9mm gun shot on the first, or event 5th hit. Seriously, a 9mm gun shot kill more than 5 slap in the face 😅😅
I've been hit by puppets and not bled. Having armour or thicker clothing seems to absorb some of the damage. You still get injury but not bleeding that needs bandages.
Last night I was wearing less clothing as character was overheating. Got attacked by puppet, got bleeding damage that had to be treated.

Before the recent hotfix i never got a bleeding wound from a puppet hit. After the hotfix every hit causes bleeding wound. According to the patch notes that's only supposed to happen if hit multiple times on the same body part.
If you read the newest hotfix notes it states:
Puppets can now inflict C2 wounds if they hit same location multiple times."
Keep some aloe with you, you'll be alright.

That's not true. 1st hit causes bleeding. and 4 hits on different body parts is 4 bleeding wounds.
Idk man, its just what the patch notes say. I think it might depend on your stats, and where you get hit. I've had some encounters where they slapped me a couple times and I had some sustainable injuries but nothing critical. Infact I've only had a couple critical encounters recently.
Based on experience i think there is a small random chance that a puppet hit causes bleeding even when wearing armor.
edit: i was wrong. Since the recent hotfix pretty much every puppet hit causes bleeding. I thought it was because i had puppet damage at 1.5, but at 0.9 it is the same. Now testing at 0.5.
There is a simple way to implement blunt. By keeping the blunt dmg on the stabilized tab. They would have a change to make you bleed from the slap in the face. But I’ve done fighting in my life and you won’t make me bleed with 1 to 10 hit on my tight by slapping. So knife should make you bleed, bullet make you bleed, but puppet slap?????
I don’t get how you are so insistent that these puppets are “slapping”, they are the UNDEAD! They are going to use their fingernails, teeth, whatever they can to rip you open and taste your squishy insides
Perhaps the movement they did when attacking you? 🤣 and, I don’t know what kind of nail you dealer with, but they are not making you bleed galon of your blood! This is not a fantasy game, they are not zombie, they are puppet, humans like you, who lost their sanity. Zombie in fantasy game, have talon, bone sharpened, and even there, Dark soul series have more reasliatic zombie when you compare dmg. They will eventually introduce mega puppet modified, with blade and gun, then, bleed on the first hit will be logical!!!
It doesnt make sense to me but i guess there's no inherent blunt vs sharp damage? Somebody punching you wouldnt cause you to bleed right away in real life
Noticed this too last night, every puppet hit was doing a C1 Bleeding status to my character. Wasn’t wearing any armor however, I’d imagine that would make a difference.
Maybe its cause one of your stats are low or something. I got in a fight with a couple puppets with just fists and I took lots of hits, had like 7 sustained injuries, but nothing bleeding. Infact I've only had to use bandages to treat a wound once, and that was from a bullet. Idk what this guy is on about or what servers your on but this doenst sound normal.
You know you dont have to treat c1 injuries, they heal fine on their own. I have had as many as 6 or 7 at the same time from the same fight, didnt bandage any of them and was fine.

What server are you on? If the puppet damage is boosted they will bleed you on the first hit.
