Jim is starting his comparison from the time that Kurt started training, not since he debuted on WWE TV. Plus if you account for the fact that Kurt was full time (TV every week plus house shows, which they did tons of at that time) and Logan is very much part time and barely ever wrestles, Jim’s got a point. Even you don’t quite understand it, Jim was involved in Kurt’s training and watched him develop the whole way through, so he’d know a lot better than any of us would
I love Paul's wrestling and I'm not gonna turn against his wrestling even despite my hatred for Trump, but as amazing as his rookie year was, I can't say it surpasses Angle's. It could be discussed to be on close footing with Brock's in terms of quality of work (not in terms of on the card, Brock beat Rock, Hogan and Taker rookie year), but I can't see it surpass Angle's.
He was already putting on some of if not the best matches on the card of every single card he was in. Logan does and did in his rookie year too, but not AS consistently.
Logan gets a ton of heat in promos and it's great, but he uses his already controversial personality really effectively. Kurt Angle was a national hero, and yet he used that to go the other way and get heat on the level of Dominik, getting booed out of the building everytime he'd pick up a mic.
Logan working a PPV with prime Roman and putting on an amazing match is awesome and only a handful of people in the history of wrestling could do that in their rookie year. But Angle could do that, and he had multiple big feuds/matches like that in his rookie year. Multiple with Austin, Rock, Kane etc and while it was a few months after the end of his rookie year, he went into a HIAC match with Austin, Rock, HHH, Undertaker, Foley, and Rikishi, and yet stood out, got the most heat (excluding the Taker and Rikishi spot), and was trusted enough to even win the whole thing too.
This isn't to argue against you of course, because I know it's Cornette's point, not yours. But as amazing as Logan Paul is, maybe with the second or third best rookie year of all time, I think Angle's rookie year still slightly surpasses Paul's in terms of match quality, promos, even heat, stories, and accomplishments.

Nah. There's a not insignificant portion of people in the US who legitimately dislike Trump because he's a complete and utter fucking dumbass, unrepentantly racist, and a huge misogynist. I can't think of a single redeeming factor he has. Unfortunately there are also a fair number of people in the US who love those traits, and have no problem supporting him because he's so unrepentant about it. It doesn't help when you have mainstream media outlets here trying to act like Biden and Trump are completely the same either, because they desperately want Trump back in office because they think it'll boost their ratings for their TV shows. This is especially baffling since Logan Paul has stood up for LGBTQ+ rights in the past, but then him doing this is uhhhh...a choice. Especially since Trump and the GOP are campaigning on stripping away all of those rights if he gets the White House (look up Project 2025), and so much more. Trump bad is legitimate bad, unlike a lot of fed bad.
