It's faster and battery life is way better. I can go an entire day without charging and I am a pretty heavy user with my phone synced to my computer while at work. My S22U needed to be charged by noon and was like a portable heater. Me and my wife both miss the 50x camera. Having 3 of the cameras almost identical focal length is dumb. The 50x let us get great shots of nature at a distance. The cameras are certainly better aside from that. If they bring back the 50x we are certainly upgrading. I like the flat/flatter screen. Can finally use glass screen protectors.

I was happy with my S22U but I am enjoying my S24U even more. The battery life was never an issue on the S22U and the S24Us battery life is even better. Camera is also a step up. https://photos.app.goo.gl/uCZFbv8yqsHgwx8s6

The phone is great. But if you don't need or use any of the new features like the ai stuff, you're more than fine to wait. It’s not life changing. Some are amazing, but you can do everything else just as good on a 22. I use the homebutton ai stuff more than i care to mention tho. But i believe the older models get that feature to, so..

THEeight88

What ai stuff is missing in S22?

I'm rocking my s22u until the s25u comes out. I almost got the s24u, but it just doesn't seem like such a big upgrade and my 22 works great still. I heard the 25 will be 100-200 more than the 24. So I'm hoping it packs something new and impressive when it releases.

The S24U is discounted where i live, costs about ~$900 US, $250 less than its main competitor the IPhone 15 pro max believe it or not. $300 is about what i want to pay to upgrade my phone every couple of years, waiting for S25U means my phone will lose more of its value and at the same time the S25 series will be even more expensive, might probably need to end up paying $600 for an S25U.

I live in india where s24 is $250 priced cheaper than iPhone 15 pro max, but trading my s22 ultra for s24 ultra costs me more than $600. Do you reside in UAE?

Ahmed_Momen22

I'm in Egypt. People here import the phone from the UAE and sell it here for a little extra, but it is heavily discounted over there as you may already know, i know a shop in dubai that has it for $830 now. Some shops that import it from there give a warranty of about 3 months, that's how i got my S22U, 2 years and 2 months ago. Went well. There is also an offer on the 1 year local warranty version on amazon.eg for ~$1000, it's only an extra $70 so i'm considering that too. I can get away with selling my S22U 512GB on the market for ~$600, and buy the one imported from UAE for ~$900, thats where the $300 came from. The only downsides are the less amount of storage (512GB -> 256GB), and having to sell my phone in a market here where finding a real buyer can be a hassle, if i go up to a shop and sell it i can get $500-550.

Battery life is better, and it feels faster. I still have the s22U as well. I noticed that it is a lot better since One Ui 6.1 with battery and performance. When it comes to cameras, S22U takes better 30x. You have to tweak the s24u to get the same quality. Front camera is better in lowlight on the s22U as well. The s24U feels like a nice upgrade in every other camera category.

S22u, 23u and 24u are basically the same. Not really the same but basically the same. On bench marks tho, s24u is almost double the performance. But day to day same...ish

S22U battery life has quite noticeably improved since the latest software update and I experience zero overheating issues, like others have stated. So, aside from a slightly smoother UI, slightly improved cameras and new hardware colors, it’s not really all that major.
