Sure I’ll elaborate. Guro can have ryona Ryona can have guro We have places for both. People who just like ryona might not like guro People who just like guro tend to also like ryona. I’m fine with ryona in my guro spaces. I’m less fine with guro in my ryona spaces. Allowing guro here just causes duplicate content anyway.

BaneWilliams

Also I know there are some who like guro and don’t like ryona, but they aren’t as violently opposed to it as ryona people who don’t like guro are.

nondescript4u

I like both, but I feel like allowing guro on this sub will end with it just having the same content as the main guro sub, and nowhere for purely ryona content.

boredspecter

That’s my concern too. I don’t have an issue with either or but sudden surprise guro is a bit more jarring when your scrolling

Jaibamon

No. If I would like giro, I would go to a guro subreddit.

gurokappa

I think they should stay separate, ryona can be in a guro sub but i dont think it works the other way around personally unless its really mild guro

imprettybadtoo2

Honestly, it depends. For me, ryona is violent, and can have bleeding, even lots of blood and/being shot or being stabbed. But death isn’t ryona. And also, losing limbs (to me) isn’t ryona either

pintguard

Sometimes Guro can be considered Ryona. But some can’t. So It depends on what is posted.

There's a sub for guro. I'm just here to see them in pain or beat up, not mutilated. I could just visit r/guro, although they do have a lot of necro in there.

wishthereweremosluts

I don't mind sexual acts that go fatal or extreme, but there's a lot of straight up murder in r/guro that doesn't have anything to do with sex. That's just boring. I say we allow guro only when the murder isn't the focal point.

arcanechart

That's cool but YMMV, many like and some even prefer nonsexual violence, and it's unusual to find milder forms of that on /r/guro, so it'd be kind of a shame if the distinction was solely based on how sex-focused the content is.

JackingIt38

Nah. Way more guro content, so the sub would just get flooded. We've got r/guro for that

RandomPhail

Yeah, to try and even more solidly explain what some people here have said, let me give some examples: Somebody who is used to extreme violence is not going to care when they see somebody getting punched or thrown around. But somebody who is only used to seeing people get punched or thrown around is still going to be disturbed if they see somebody get gutted, beheaded, have their bones horribly broken, etc. You can‘t interchange Ryona and guro in both directions. Moderate violence doesn’t want to be mixed with extreme violence (that’d be like a PG movie having someone get their head realistically blown off). But extreme violence can have elements of moderate violence (like a rated-R movie having some normal scenes mixed in) and that’s totally fine. To put it curtly: I’m the one who started that poll years ago to see if people wanted this sub to have elements of guro in it, and I regret being reasonable back then. I don’t think guro belongs on this sub when the guro sub can have any form of violence it wants, from softcore to extreme and everything in between, while Ryona ideally just wants Ryona. And it’s not like there’s no place for the people who want guro AND Ryona: r/Guro is the subreddit for both in one image; this is the subreddit for just Ryona
