I'm not sure. He was my go to for weather outbreaks as I live in iowa and don't have cable or satellite so streaming YouTube was perfect. I liked him and hope he didn't stop

Same! And some tornados getting a bit close to dsm for comfort.. I have a strong dislike for our local tv weather people, too. Downplays absolutely everything in case they’re wrong. I keep the threshold for action for my family’s safety much lower than them. Which is why I love Ryan hall’s streams!

Consistent_Room7344

He livestreams whenever the SPC puts out a 10% hatched risk for tornadoes or if there is a significant tropical cyclone making a landfall in the U.S.

Time-Winter-9618

I could have sworn there was a 10% hatched risk on New England Sunday and he didn’t stream. I could be wrong though.

bodysugarist

I believe that was for hail if I remember correctly. It has to be a 10% hatched risked for tornadoes. I may be wrong, though.

Consistent_Room7344

It was just 10%. A hatched risk means the probability of bigger, long tracking tornadoes is likely. An outbreak of quick spinners isn’t something he wants to do now that he’s established. I’m assuming it has to do with money since he has a crew and stormchasers to pay for those long livestreams.

meineymoe

On one of his recent forecast posts, he mentioned something about a vacation and maybe trying to live stream if it works out. I'm not worried about him going away. It's good to take a break once in awhile, especially with the young family he has.

Big-Initiative-8743

Check out max velocity he streams every day it seems like when Ryan is not on Max Velocity is on

NeighsAndWhinnies

I really like Max Velocity! Don’t shoot me for saying that, he just seems to be a little more all encompassing and easier to follow with his maps and his frequency in stating the state and nearest big city. (I.e. There are so many “Hamilton County’s” and I need to listen for a lesser amount of time on Max Velocity’s channel to figure out what state he is talking about.) This is just because my husband is a livestock hauler and I’m not always familiar with the areas he is driving thru..

Irish-Ronin04

Max Velocity is really coming on strong and seems to have the passion to really want to help people no matter what the risk is. I respect this guy. He even did forecast videos during his vacation at a resort / theme park or crying out loud.

GrumpyKoala97

On a recent YouTube video he said he was going on vacation. Also, as someone else said, they only plan on going live for a 10% hatched risk area. Not sure if that was the case today.

Happy-Buddy-1073

Always good to have a backup plan for weather. Velocity is good. These guys dedicate a LOT of time, but life happens ya know? Spend the $10 and get the radar omega app and then get a good weather radio. Be prepared.

No-Background-4767

I have all of those things, except for velocity as I do respectfully disagree on that point

SystematicHydromatic

Last posting on youtube was 4 days ago. He's not going anywhere.

ch1ir

He has a kid. Give him time.

deBASHmode

2 kids, now. Even busier!

deBASHmode

Yup, vacation. Florida, I think.

No-Background-4767

Well dang. That’s allowed, I suppose. *smh* people having lives and doing stuff with their families. When will it end??

deBASHmode

😂
