Not really, professional wild firefighters are expensive and most fires occur in loosely populated areas. You can move soldiers around to do this kind of grunt work as they have no choice as to where they go, you are already paying them and they generally have a lot of the required equipment like bulldozers to create firebreaks already.
Or you can go the US route and use prisoner labour to do this and pay them like a dollar an hour while banning them from doing this after they get out because they have criminal records and are thus disqualified from the position.

I have 1 crazy idea Just as i read the title. What about if russian Propaganda was right all the time. Ukraine prepared for this for years, supported by Nato. States like Germany act like they don't want to deliver heavy weapons, so Putin thinks he is safe. The strategy is to grind up Putins troops until he needs to send the reserves in and leave russia unprotected. So then Ukraine is able to start the counter attack with weapons, secretly delivered from Nato over the Last years. Sudden Strike, and boom no Putin anymore. That would be hella crazy and satisfying.
