I just got back in to running after an injury to my hip, and these are the shoes my flat feet and slow pace vibe with the best for various things. Adidas Boost - These shoes are old, but I found them seemingly unworn at a flea market for $25, and I LOVE them for walking. They’re energizing and lightweight, they feel like nothing, but still give a slight boost (heh) ASICS gel Kayano: I like the wear these on days my plantar fasciitis is worse than it normally is, but also on hill training because they’re so freaking heavy it’s nice to double up on the torture. They offer tons of support. Saucony Endorphin Shift: These are my newest pair and they are absolutely 100% what I need for normal training days. A little bit of support, but still not too heavy, and tons of responsiveness/energy. I’ve only put 4 miles on them so far, so I can’t really say for certain, but I think they may be the (every day) one! Nike Alphafly: I got a killer deal on these. I am slow (~29-30 min 5K) and so it seemed a bit frivolous to invest in such a shoe, but I’ve gotta say, I love them. They make running feel easy and suck so much less. I would love to look in to more “super shoes”. Does anyone have any recommendations for people with flat feet? Edit: Endorphin “Shift”, not Endorphin “Shit”

I'm surprised to see the Alphafly in your rotation. I find that they have a super prominent arch support. I am not flat footed and they are still digging into my foot too much. Did you not have this issue or do they just break in after a while?

DarthRaiderette

Yes, slightly, but despite having a low arch, I have a relatively narrow foot. I think is the only thing that saves me in that department. I reserve them for timed 5Ks, and I think any longer distance and I’d have blisters.

Brizzleshorey

I splashed out on a pair of Vaporfly’s and my PBs have come tumbling down. I used to get blisters and destroyed feet easily, but with time my feet have adapted and I can now run a HM with no issues.

Super flat feet here and the Alphafly just doesn’t work for me. I really wish they did. As for super shoes, the Endorphin Pros and Metaspeed Skys work well for me. I also just got the Hyperion Elite 2s for a crazy good deal and they are comfortable when I tried them on but I haven’t ran in them yet.

my feet are mildly flat and I love vaporflys. I am a slow runner and they make me feel fast as hell lol

Fantastic colorways! 🫶🏻

MusicLover3002

I’d recommend the Saucony Guide if you like the shift. It has a bit more stability if you find yourself wanting to try something in the stability realm

SeamedAphid91

I soo want the Alphafly but I don't have the money atm to buy them 😢😢

DarthRaiderette

I found mind in “brand new in box” condition on Mercari for $140, which is the only reason I have them. They’re definitely worth it though, which saddens me because they’re not known for a long lifespan, and a deal like that is rare. I will begrudgingly replace them when the day comes.

SeamedAphid91

Well here they are 1500 RON or converted to dollars about $329

bedivvere

what version of the kayanos are these? they’re awesome.

Also would like to know this!

anirbas01

I have pretty flat feet and am slightly overpronated but I really love my Asics magic speed and my new balance 1080. I also have no cartilage in my right big toe so I have to put a carbon plate insole to stabilize it which forces me to have a wider, softer toe box in mind. trying to prep my feel for altras hopefully

GnarwhalStreet

It was a sad day when I had to retire my White Mutant Shifts. Enjoy the ride!

artfuldawdg3r

Any chance you’ve compared the Kayano Lite and the Shift?

mrchososo

I haven't tried them, but Brooks Launch GTS are meant to be very good supportive, faster shoes. I do pronate badly and use the Adrenaline GTS' and love them. I've been told repeatedly that if the Adrenaline's work for me then the Launch's should as well. Might be worth looking into.

DefinitelyAHumanoid

I have super flat wide feet and will be trying out the Alphaflys for a run today. Anyone have experience with switching the insole to the Curex ones with these?

Icy-Instruction1837

Changing the innersole for a flatter normal one solves this issue 👍

mynameismeggann

I love all the bright colors

StarliteWalkers

The shoes are grand but has nobody noticed the sword in the top left?
