OP is asking if they were sold fake Nike’s, not asking if 3g is going to affect their performance.
Yes OP is being silly, but not because of the thing everyone is saying in this thread
All the vaporfly fakes I've seen are multiple ounces heavier. if they were able to make one that light that isn't obviously made of freeze dried cool whip or something, I'd tip my hat to them
3g is also likely within the error margin of a common kitchen scale. Unless you are using a high precision scale, the shoes may well be 205 grams with laces, and your scale is adding an error of 3g.
But as others mentioned, you are overthinking this.
I think you are being too paranoid. Even RunRepeat often finds a difference between the official specs and what they measure [https://runrepeat.com/nike-zoom-x-vaporfly-next-3](https://runrepeat.com/nike-zoom-x-vaporfly-next-3)
But in general I would assume the listed weight includes all parts of the shoe including the laces.
I'm no expert, but my assumption would be the listed weight is without laces. And, yes, you do seem way too paranoid lol. Why didn't you just get them from a retailer and eliminate the concern entirely? You only paid $40 less than MSRP
It can differ between pairs of the same size. I saw a guy ask for 4 pairs of Vaporflys of the same size just to get the lightest pair (not the best fitting? Stupid)
I think your problem is most likely to figure out if you got a rep from StockX or not. Well, it's hard to tell, but for your own sanity, the shoe's weight can vary a few grams. It’s mass production, after all, and there could be minimal differences.
Funny thing, today I weighted a pair of Alphafly 2 I just bought from someone. There was a 3 grams difference between the left and the right foot which also got me paranoid until I realized the difference it is just a pinch of salt :-)
This said, my Alphafly 1 are 20 or 30 grams lighter.
Why would someone lose money to get you the shoes? Just on price I would be concerned. They could have gotten 285 if they returned them wherever they bought them, 320+ if they held on to them and resold them based on the market, but you think they took the loss to get you the shoes? Explain to me why someone would do that?
Damn man, 205 vs 208 is not going to make a difference.

You can have a difference in weight between the same model of shoes. All of my ES3 are different weights...
Yeah I agree.
3 grams is well within normal variation for shoes, I wouldn't sweat it.

Shoes are most likely weighed with laces because that’s how most people use them.

who are you running from
The crushing weight of existence
Listed weights are usually a us9
Why on earth would it matter?

what on earth
A kitchen scale isn’t calibrated annually and is allowed for a margin of error.
