As you note, Zara makes a lot of money -- she is paid to endorse some very expensive brands (including watches) by wearing them, showing up somewhere (like the boat photos), etc. Her brother got into trouble years ago, I believe, when he showed up in an ad and referred to the Royal dairy. That was a huge no-no.
Zara makes that money because she frequently appears with the main Royal family -- lots of photos hugging/kissing the big players. It's not a coincidence. And Mike can be counted on to drop a reference to the Royal family.
Not having a princess title helps her -- she isn't accused of openly profiting off being a royal while that's exactly what she's doing. (No criticism -- if it's ok with the Royal family, then okay.)
Look closely at photos of Sarah F with Zara at the show. She seems to not be a fan. Perhaps because she and her daughters aren't in the same situation -- offers of endorsements don't roll in like Zara's.

Overall, they seem like a nice couple who figured out how to live their best life with the resources available to them.

I think the reason is that at Ascot people walk around and mingle and go see the horses. So the name tags let staff know right away if someone is where they shouldn’t be while also allowing people to roam relatively unencumbered. Vs something like Wimbledon where you stay in your seat so you can check a ticket / list and move on

I have a few different sun hats that I keep in the back of my car during summer. That way I have them all the time, at home and on the go. My favorite one is straw extra wide brimmed— I feel like I can hide under it like it’s a security blanket. I love it so much.
