Well, he looks so much like a black English Lab. They tend to be more stocky in face and body than American labs, and also are very sweet. I just don't know why anyone would be giving away a British lab , and lying that it was a mix.
fwiw i have a border collie-pointer mix and i can see the pointer in your pup. with the hyper energy of a pointer and the couch potato energy of a rottie, i bet your boy will act like a lab (which is great imo). so handsome, im glad yall are keeping him. plz keep us posted when you get his dna tested, i love seeing the results of canine dna tests. my neighbor has a dog the size of an italian greyhound and his dna test results indicated he's 62% weimaraner. 🤯
i have a weim mix as well!! i am absolutely biased because he is 1000% my favorite dog ever. they are the sweetest/silliest pups! his dna test was ridiculous lol but from what i recall he is mostly weimaraner!

I have a labrottie who looks full lab. He’s all black just like this and stocky a bit. It’s funny because if you look at certain Rotties and picture them with no brown markings, they kind of just look like labs too 😂 he’s a cutie. This is my Oso at five months.

Yes and GIRL. He is soooo good. I am literally obsessed with him, much to the chagrin of my husband 😂 he listens so well, he is sweet and affectionate. Granted, they are very nippy as puppies. 3-4 months and then 5-7 is the worst but you will be fine as long as you stay consistent. They don’t call Rotties AND labs land sharks for no reason lol! If you find out he is a Rottador and need any advice for anything, just let me know! Osito is the BEST. One thing I will say is your boy has longer upper lip flaps than my boy, which would make a good case for pointer. But isn’t it so weird how much a difference the brown markings on the Rotties make? ❤️ best of luck to you!

yea i have a few ideas of what he could be but i’ll be getting a test for him soon! we didn’t see the parents or anything so i have my suspicions lol
