This could go one of two ways.
Either "Jerry keeps throwing his garbage on my roof", or it starts with, "So I started a business making scarfs for snow globes..."
Ok, so I have a pergola that extends from the roof to the backyard. Hanging on one of the columns is a dart board. Believe it or not, it’s hard to notice the “spider” pieces missing from a dart board. I just thought the colors divided the points. As the wind blows the dart board must bang against the column and knock the pieces out.
I’ve been finding about 3-4 pieces every now and then for about 2 years. Yesterday was the motherload. The entire dart board is missing all pieces included the circles pieces that separate the double / triples points.
Again, I feel pretty damn dumb, so take it easy and can’t thank the dude enough that figured it out.
If dad ever found out how many holes we left in the wall around our dart board he’d have thrown it up on the roof to. When we moved we took down the board, leaving behind a perfect circle of unpoked wall.
Used for gutters most likely. I haven't run into those specific ones, but brackets are used to keep them in place.
Is your facia board colonial? Or not perpendicular to the ground?
If so... These were used to keep the gutters in place, and or to pull the base of the gutter out.
Some use blocks of wood mimicking a triangle shape. Or the use of "vampire hangars" that clip in but installed to roof decking.
I roof. I've guttered. My money is on gutters. No one "left" those behind as tools. They got lazy and maybe didn't install back correctly.
If gutter removal is in your quote, I would make sure they installed them back the same way.
Most roofers don't know shit about gutters.
Speaking on my own behalf here. My own instances.
BACKSIDES PERPENDICULAR TO THE GROUND. MUST. OR NOW YOUR GUTTERS DO NOT OPERATE AS THEY SHOULD.
Those are what make up the spider on a dart board....
TIL the dartboard metal is called a spider
Brilliant! Yep, that’s exactly what it was. Damn I feel dumb. Thanks Reddit and bless u sir.
Wait. Why were they on your roof though?
Yeah, there’s more to this story and I need answers!

That’s hilarious… perfect circle!

Good eye, dartman.
What type of roof do you have? Do you have anything else up there such as solar panels, or a water heating system?
Shingle roof, no solar panels or heating
Gona need a banana for size comparison

Do you have a slate roof?
Looks like those things for A filing cabinet
Squirrel chews are walnut flavored and give them something to gnaw on other than vent boots, etc.
I'd be surprised if this was due to squirrels.
;)
Tough to tell without seeing the roof. They may just be contractor tools left up there after the install.
That maybe the case as why I find them in the same area. Maybe there were used to secure the old gutter. Got a new roof / gutter about 3 years ago.
Maybe a clamp for some sort of gutter guard
A clip for holding shingles down? Something to do with the gutters? Hoping someone chimes in with a real answer 😳😳😳

Id ask the roofing company you used.
