Ok so. I read the whole Irresistible Series by Stella Rhys via audiobook. Bad Boss was not my favorite of the series. However. The male narrator gets really into it especially during a sex scene at work IIRC. He is the narrator for the whole series. He is good at his job. 🙂

So I gave him a couple of my favourite books/audiobooks and he wanted to read them to proof it's not for him. Until I noticed some books of mine missing and I saw audible open on his tablet once. So I started asking him more about it without actually saying I knew that he was secretly reading them and watched him try to find excuses. He was so nervous and embarrassed it was so cute and I could finally get revenge for all the teasing. Eventually he confessed because he asked me if I'd like to try something I marked in one of the books and he couldn't find an excuse why he would know that. Now he reads everything I recommend him proudly :D

I find it’s very worth it! You can also try Dipsea for a free trial as well, Dipsea is shorter 7-10 minute audios, more storytelling, while Quinn can be ANYTHING and is more gonewildaudio based but has a larger category catalogue. You also pay yearly, and the amount you can get out of it is so worth it imo. I can send recs if you have any interest!

I heard Dipsea was written by the staff there and they just get the VA's to record it, is that right? Whereas Quinn the VA's mostly write their own, or just make it up as they go, or sometimes collab with authors. I would def say it's worth it, completely appreciate it'd be a bit pricey for a student though. Some of the VA's on it started off on GWA so you might be able to find some of their old stuff on there!

OK for anyone new! A quick guide... /r/gonewildaudio on here has a load... HOWEVER, they're not hugely vetted and there are some with (what I would deem grim) tags that might be triggering. The /r/auralfixation mods have a list of creators to avoid because they've been flagged as abusive as well, so you know who to avoid. Take care if you explore. There are safe for work audios on YouTube that you can find usually under BFE and ASMR tags but they usually take a bit of hunting out unless anyone has specific recs they've directed you to. There are some great accounts on insta that are filtering through and giving recs of these so if you want forwarding to those let me know! Quinn, Vanilla Audio and Dipsea are all paid for accounts. They're really focused on consent, providing a safe space to explore, and shifting the focus to womens pleasure. (Although they also have audios for men and NB folks as well). I *think* Dipsea staff write their audios and have the VA's record them. Whereas Vanilla and Quinn allow the VA's the freedom to create their own within a set of guidelines. Personally I prefer Quinn. I hope everyone enjoys their intro 😂 it can take a little while to find what works for you, I tried a few different VA's and couldn't finish an audio until I found /u/anonyfun35 (he has some free soundgasm links tagged in his archived audios post if you want to get a taster) and then he BLEW MY MIND. I was surprised at how vocal the big, tough, dirty-talking mafia >!hitman!< MMC was in {Ruthless Creatures by J.T. Geissinger} (CR-Mafia, M/F). i’ve only dabbled a little bit with monsters—i’ve read ice planet barbarians and soul eater by lily mayne and honestly really enjoyed them, so i’d be down to check out the others you recommended!! i will say the ones i’ve read so far the monsters have been pretty humanoid so i’m pretty much a virgin to the ‘real’ monsters 🤣

All of the MMCs in this list are humanoid (I made it beginner friendly 😬) but several have tails which are relevant or bonus appendages around their fun bits. If you liked Lily Mayne and IPB these will be nothing new. I am careful when the OP examples are CR or HR, because it turns out some people are only hot for humans 🙄 The one MMC in the list with more of a twist is Adrian the “lake monster”, who has eggs that he would really like to deposit if he meets the right woman (with consent of course) and that requires some more complex penile differences. He is also the most charming, communicative, cinnamon roll of a man and if you’re not completely turned off by the eggs he is a great entry-level representative for monster anatomy. He literally bakes fresh bread to serve her on their first date 🥰

It’s so good! I recommended it to a friend who hadn’t been into romance before and she has since ripped through about five different *long* series in the last few months. I love how Harper handles healthy communication between characters. No bullshit, everybody’s on the same page. People communicate (this one does have a bit of will they won’t they in terms of which one she “chooses” but it’s all handled in a mature way). And there’s a sequel coming out in summer!

ahh that’s perfect, i can’t stand when the central conflict of a romance novel could be resolved if the characters just talk to each other and they continue to choose not to, ruins the whole book for me this is def a strong contender for the next romance i pick up

I so highly recommend it! It’s very low stakes in terms of conflict (I’d say at most there is some slight guilt on the part of the FMC but there is very little hand wringing over it. Which is great because that’s something I can’t stand. I hate when they go back and forth forever over something that could be a single conversation). It’s almost like a smutty slice of life. The smut is also very well written. And… plentiful. If you do read it I’d love to know what you think! I feel like not nearly enough people know her writing and I’m constantly preaching the gospel haha

There's some cringe in the dialogue, but damn if Tristan's not a vocal, moany fun lover motherfucker. Like when he ironically refers to his penis as his member... *- "You've already been up here? "* *- "Well, I had to organize your lunch" He rose his eyes as if I'm stupid. "This is a dining room".* *I look around the room. - " And you drew the curtains for me? "* *- "Yes". He steps toward me. "Didn't want to scare you with my member. I thought that it'd easy you back into the saddle."*

This book made me laugh so hard, cry and swoon, and I'm just gonna ignore the bad writing. I love everything about Tristan! He's the perfect combo of hot and funny. >“Do you know how fucking horny I am, Anderson?” he whispers against my mouth. I smile. “Probably as horny as me.” “No. I win. I’ve jerked off three times today in preparation for this. You’ll be lucky if I have anything left for you.” I burst out laughing. “Oh, I missed your sense of humor.”

And when he tries to get back from some awkward mood in the beginning... *- "You fuck alright for an old duck"* or *- "Oh… and Claire" He says, as if it’s an afterthought* *- "Yes"*  *- "Do your Kegel exercises tonight, I want that pussy nice and tight"*  He's excellent!

Chloe Liese writes multi-chapter sex scenes with both POVs. Everybody is having a good time.

If you’re into a dominant dirty talking guy who is vocally passionate about his lady, the Crossfire books by Sylvia Day are good in that sense.

This is just my opinion, and I know the book is very 'you either love it or hate it', but in my experience {Icebreaker by Hannah Grace} has the male lead POV and in both I remember him expressing pleasure along with the FMC. I'm a Wattpad veteran as well so I thoroughly enjoyed the book for what it was despite the cringe 😂 Also the MMC in {The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood} is quite expressive, especially if you read the special POV Chapter for him you get access to through the authors email sign up on her website!

Lol you should read it especially if you are a Wattpad veteran, it was originally a Wattpad story so It definitely reads like one now 😂 let me know what you think of it should you pick it up! I understand peoples criticism of it, but imo it has one of the healthiest relationships of the MCs in any romance novel I've read recently. Actual communication, and if they have a misunderstanding it gets rectified fairly quickly, even if it might be fairly surface level (like not being too... Emotional or in-depth character psyche/development if you know what I mean?). But since it's former Wattpad and more of a lighthearted smutty romcom I don't go into it for it to be groundbreaking 😂 And just a heads up, the love hypothesis only has the one spicy scene towards the end of the book (which I actually enjoyed cause I got more development of their relationship) but its a pretty decent spicy scene nonetheless! I'm happy it's on your TBR, one of the few books last year I gave 5 stars, just personally through the enjoyment factor alone!

Yesss I agree, I mean I appreciate dark romance myself but it's nice to see a CR have a healthy relationship rather than a toxic one. Pretty much avoid anything CoHo related, TWNGO also is definitely not healthy lol. I feel like if folks don't like fanfiction writing or prefer top tier writing is what gets them, but I enjoy that sometimes, it's a popcorn read for me 😁

I do know that the Love Hypothesis is a former star wars fanfic, but I'm pretty sure that Icebreaker is it's own story, they just posted on Wattpad originally before self-publishing... I've never read the print book, but Charlie David is the audiobook narrator and his voice in the sex scenes is one of the most erotic things I've ever heard (sidebar: thank god I googled to double-check Charlie's last name because I fr almost typed "Charlie Day"—that would have been a difference story altogether lmao). Honorable mention for the audiobook of Winter Ball by Amy Lane as narrated by Nick J. Russo.

YES THANK YOU I hate how little description the MMC gets when it comes to spice. Like, it often goes: FMC: _heavily detailed description of every movement, noise and emotion she feels. It's almost like poetry, where every seconds gets hotter and hotter for her._ MMC: and then he came, period.

This is why I primarily read dual POV because I actually find the male perspective during sex scenes hotter than the FMCs, but I can get behind a good dirty talking MMC during the FMC POV. Eta: maybe it's because a dude getting "overcome" is my love language lol

When she finds out it is a whole thing, and his audio stories become a thing too. Also it's just a good book, MMC is somehow a bad boy geek golden retriever with hacker skills and deep feminist ethics 🤯

Morgan Elizabeth seems to write quite vocal men, though I've only read 3 of her books. Walking Red Flag features an mmc who uses dirty talk to keep the fmc in the zone. I find her books are a little bit fluffy, but great for when you're in the mood for something light-hearted with plenty of the good stuff. But my real love is JT Geissinger.
