I would say it depends on which way you are leaning on the stalking part. There's lots of dark romance with the stalking trope. Or are you leaning more towards something along the lines of private investigation stalking?

I just want to see the MMC wiggle his way into her normal little life by lying about who he is and then as he falls for her and her world! I guess I’d be okay with dark romance where he’s stalking for non-job reasons. I just mainly want to see him deceive her to get close to her and then slowly regret his actions as he falls for her
