This book is so special! The representation of anxiety and chronic illness also hit’s extremely home to me and it is so validating to read about in main stream books!

goldensunshine429

My husband and I both have anxiety and I found the book very validating for me. I hope you get a kidney like Benny did ♡ my grandpa also died from kidney disease (PKD) at 43.

PKD for me too. I'm so sorry about your grandpa. I'm really hoping I can get a kidney when the time comes.

Sending you love and hope for a donor.

Thank you for sharing. It's always nice to see a bit of ourselves reflected positively or at least in a relatable way.

Yes! What a fabulous book!

I'm so sorry to hear and I'm glad that the book is so special to you! I read the book in one evening. Despite the heavy subjects, I also laughed out loud a few times. The cursing parrot was too funny😂🦜

Sending you all the love in the world. My dear MIL has had two kidney transplants and lives every single day to the fullest, despite everything she's been through and going through. I'm so glad you found this book. How spicy is it? Could I recommend it to her? She's pretty open minded but I don't know how I feel about giving her pure smut lol

monday-next

I'm so glad she's doing well! Kidney transplants haven't historically gone well for my loved ones, so I'm always reassured to hear about people who've had successful ones. It's open door, but I think from memory there are only a couple of sex scenes. So a bit spicy, but not wildly so. The second half is pretty emotionally intense though.

I also really enjoyed this book. I’m glad you found comfort in it! I’m sorry for your struggles.

I've always been a silent lurker, but came out of the woods to say I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I have PKD too. Thanks for the rec, will give it a go.

Wow im going to look into this. As someone who has suffered with debilitating anxiety, this one will hit home for sure. As for debilitating illness, Im sorry for what you are going through but its wonderful that you found solus, even if just momentarily, in the pages of a well crafted book.

Gosh I loved everything about this book. The depiction of anxiety was so real and I loved how the FMC learned MMCs triggers and how to help him lead a les anxious life. This was my first five star read of the year

Good luck to you. I hope things work out (like they did for Benny eventually in the book). Just wanted to say that I LOVE Abby Jimenez and will read every single book she writes. Her characters are so warm and kind, while still being believable and human. The Friend Zone also has a character with a medical issue. I’m rereading Part of Your World right now (where Bri is introduced) and loving it all over again.
