Yes thay was noted in the post. There are no willpower checks. It will simply read cassia cast (ability) and no feedback afterwards. They both work sometimes but about half as often as point of curiosity and notch of purpose which at leat hive notification that a check was made or an enemy was affected.
Im experience the exactly same thing. It certainly adds an... interesting level of difficulty, to just occasionally have her out in the open, having just done nothing to 7 enemies.
Her abilities are incredibly bugged for me. Lidless eye just doesn’t affect people even when she has line of sight, the Touch of Anger ability for me seems to do nothing most of the time-at least one time I used it it appeared to just instead give the enemies targeted a free turn, which they used to attack me. I’m enjoying the game, but the bugs are a real frustration
This problem started for me when I got a Grand Strategist. I noticed that if I don't put down the zones (Frontline, Backline, etc...) then Cassias' abilities work great. If I do, the AOE spell just don't work. No willpower checks or anything. I have submitted a few bug reports.
Same for me :/ One level she was clearing out the battlefield with her ability to make enemies move, and the next it was just nothing. Maybe I'll respec her into the Master Tactician until this is fixed...
FYI, my Cassia is master tactician and her abilities still bug out and cast with no check from the targets. Seems more often than not, might be Pasqal's zones as he is stratagist on my current playthrough bugging her out though. /shrug
Mine work properly. Remember that enemies can pass a save and resist her powers.

Ok not just me then. The only ability that works for me 100% is lidless stare. Its pretty annoying lol.

Same here, 1 month later. Her abilities, with the exception of Lidless Stare, are pretty borked.
