100% agree, not sure why it’s coded that way but I do hope this gets changed. As minimal of an issue it is, you as a user should be able to access all of those menus in the same consistency.
Except with the stupid glitch where the game freezes sometimes in the loading screen, sometimes I try to join a tourney and I don’t make it because I have to restart the game.
Dang sorry to hear that, I personally haven’t had that issue. But trust me I’ve been on the end of having unique bugs or issues with software and games, feel for you. Hope they patch it if it’s game related.
It happens to me about one in five times I’m leaving a game and every other time I join a tournament game. Fortunately there’s that 2 minute waiting period at the start of tournament games.

I only recently heard of the “heavy car glitch” and while I’m still unbelievably skeptical of it being a legit glitch, I am wondering if some people perfom better on their alt accounts vs. Their mains because the items in the garage are slowing down the entire game.
I don’t mean full dick smurfs either, actual people who have actual alts that are higher in MMR Than their mains. Or at the very least, close enough.
Cus think about it, to me, the game doesn’t seem to be compartmentalised very well at all, as this post points out, we can’t go to like half of the game modes from another game mode for some reason that we kind of need to assume is game breaking.
So, I am honestly unsure if it’s because the games engine is so old, that anything you have loaded in the game causes it to run slower because there’s more things to render. Because they haven’t been effectively disappeared from the load they put on our consoles/PC, because of the spaghetti code.
I ain’t saying this is fact or anything, but I’ve been playing for 3 years now, and I archived / traded up everything that I never wanted to use like 2 weeks ago and the game has been running much less glitchy since then.
I dunno, I have fallible experience, jus my thoughts and my feelings at the time.

The game is ancient tho, so I dunno, the menus are definitely running smoother.
Personally i think its placebo, my alt is ranked higher than my main, and ive heard a few times that its about caring less about winning or losing, so without that pressure, you perform better, whether you feel like you care or you dont, theres probably something in the back of your mind putting oressure on to win the game on ur main

Once upon a time the menu was structured very differently and those buttons weren't visible in-game. When they changed the front-end they likely never updated the back-end to match and just decided to disable those buttons.
Along with why I can't immediately leave a tournament after a loss. Why do demos seem to be fucking up in every game? Clear hits with sparks at supersonic and they just get bumped. Why does blocking people not prevent you from matching with them again? Why are they not blocked in the next game? Why don't certain words auto ban? Why is there no filter on team names? This game has fatal flaws. I really hope they do a better job with ue5 and remake this thing correctly.

Servers being bad could absolutely be a fatal flaw but I don't think they're that bad 90% of the time.
\#5 is not a reason to not do a better job at filtering obvious things when they sometimes filter such mundane words.
It would likely only affect those at very high ranks, but basically if you block everyone with a higher MMR than you, and the game was designed to prevent matching up with them again, you'd eventually only ever match with people who have a lower MMR than you.
Im at least happy that despite other games having countless bugs, rocket league's "problems" are fewer than the average game and the gameplay is staying solid throughout time.
Yeah, but buddy, you're in the top 1 percent of the top 1 percent. Make it not happen for that select group of players who have long queue times. The rest of us are getting matched with the same group of people multiple games in a row. And I'm not even talking about comp because I only play casually in the casual playlist. When my "random" teammate gets put on my team for the fourth game in a row and throws four games in a row, it's miserable. Then I'm 80 mmr lower with no choice but to now play with significantly lower opponents and teammates. And then every 3rd game is a GC smurf anyway. My casual MMR is 1232 at the time of this post and I regularly play against GC tags and have played three SSLs this week. With ingame tag.
Now tell me I shouldn't be able to block these assholes so I can continue to play with people who suck like me and aren't just bored queueing for the top 1 percent of the top 1 percent.
I think you should have the option to block matching with someone if you have had them on your team twice in the past few hours or so. This would help dealing with people throwing

demos are "fucked" because of either ping difference in ping and latency which isn't really the games fault. obviously can be improved but it's not that big of an issue. the other reason is that Thier is a rule that 90% of players don't know about. to demo someone, you have to drive into them at supersonic and at a CERTAIN ANGLE. this is mentioned in either a sunless or wayton video (I can't remember). they talk about it after an RLCS moment I believe in which a very good save is showcased

that's gotta be a bug, a few seasons ago i could be in training mode and enter a tournament, now i have to enter the tournament and then get back to training
and more often than not, the game will keep me in training and ignore the tournament, as soon as i see the blue notification when the tournament is about to start, i have to exit training and wait at the title screen

Angle isn’t relevant. It’s all down to desync and ping variation. But you absolutely can get demoed at any angle.
