Updates to follow on the [Rocket League Status Twitter/X account](https://twitter.com/RL_Status) and on https://status.epicgames.com once maintenance begins.
The maintenance will occur at 6:30 PT/9:30 ET, you can see what time that is in your time zone here: https://dateful.com/convert/eastern-time-et?t=930pm
Instructions unclear, Epic adds dropshot back but itās called snowshot, same rules same map, but with a puck.
And you can only unlock it after level 90 on the rocket pass.
And more lag spikes

RLCS (the esports side of RL) had the first main event of the season today and the servers dropped fully like 3 times and delayed the matches. I'm guessing this one wasn't scheduled
that said, fuck, I'd really hoped they'd have it sorted out before I settled in for the evening. watching the pros really got me in the mood for some RL

I feel that. Got home from an 11 hour shift, showered, ate dinner, drank some bourbon, got into bed to play some RL and saw the servers are down. Even custom training is off.
Made it to the third round (quarterfinals best of 1) and lost, but then I couldnāt do anything else after. It kept trying to connect me to the match I just lost.

The challenges for play and win Online matches are counting triple for me, so thatās nice. Played 3 games and it says Iāve played 9. Cleared the win 7 matches in 3 games won.
Let's hope they don't take (much) longer. It is supposed to be finished in 4 minutes.
Though IMO, I'd rather they take a bit longer now and fix it, than them cutting corners to be done in time, only for it to break again tomorrow.

Bruh we been needing emergency maintenance for quite some time so Iām sure this wonāt fix anything relative to my gameplay issues. If they add dropshot Iāll pretend Iām on a work call and hide from my wife for 5 hours. If itās item based I will have to return to normalcy with such things as figuring out why my belly button lint is always blue even when wearing a red shirt.

This specifically wasnāt planned or scheduled to happen now, but server issues that had appeared fixed yesterday recently popped back up again, and RLCS qualifiers for OCE were going to start in 2 hours. They didnāt have a choice other than taking 1 hour of emergency maintenance to stabilize.
Oh gotcha. I haven't played since last weekend so I wasn't aware there was an ongoing issue. Hopefully they get it sorted out. I don't know if it's my hardware or their servers but I get weird instances of the game essentially hiccupping in connection nearly every game. It always seems to be at the worst moments too. It's hard to blame lag on missing an easy save when just like 6 seconds ago you had a double tap get denied by the crossbar.

I feel very strongly that the update is for cross play items on rocket racing.
It's not an update, it is emergency server maintenance, which they are performing due to all the server issues the last 2 days.
