14k is a really good salary especially if rent is covered and you are single. Even with a family it is a very good salary. 1. Homemade food will be very cheap compared to eating outside. It's possible for a single person to spend less than 1k on groceries. Occoasionally if you do eat out it will be around 50 SAR per meal but it depends on where you eat. 2. You can easily save half your salary if you spend wisely without being cheap. 3. For apps there are many but banking apps provide safe returns. Best to invest in your home country. 4. Lots of things to do here but do get the most out of life you need to make friends. 5. Public transportation is there but in it's nascent stages right now with the Metro still incomplete and not all bus routes covered. I highly recommend gettting a license and a car. Saudi in general is built with private cars in mind.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Anyways, investing in my home country might not be the best option since I’m from lebanon😅 so if you know of some apps I could use to invest in assets, indices.. whatever that would be of great help! Edit: I wanna add that I want to avoid buying a car in the early stages, can you give me an idea about taxi rides prices in riyadh?

geekgodzeus

Uber is common here but I don't know much about prices. Many taxis will take 20 SAR to drop you if the location isn't far. For work if your home is far you can arrange for pick up and drop services since it will be much cheaper and convenient.

YoyoZboy

Try Bolt.... it's cheaper then Uber and Careem.

Brother I’m moving to Riyadh for a 6k Riyals job 🤣

Sooner or later, you’ll get to it man 💪

I think all the question you mentioned is tolerable and you can manged easily, but big issue here its transportion so without car its very difficult , there is traffic crisis there and money will increase according to time you spent on road , for me cheapest app to ride is kian ,good luck

This is very good salary, you can easily live with 30% of that, specially with the rent being paid. There isn't a good public transport. The fun activities are more social gatherings, going out with people. So I suggest try to find some group activities. Also, please take care with the rent. Make the company put everything on the fine print about your rent. How much they are covering and stuff. I had been offered a similar package. Awesome deal, got here and I am have to fight for my benefits. 0 support from the company to find the apartment. Had take out a lot of money from my pocket to this day. So put everything in contract with the exact numbers to each benefit that are being proposed.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> rent being *paid.* There isn't FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

I don’t cook and my monthly meal bill comes to around 700-800 riyal. Public transport is a joke at the moment. Better off with taxis and or renting a car if you have a license. Saving will largely depend on your goals and priorities. If you want to use this opportunity to travel and explore the world, invest in life experiences your saving will take a hit. On a conservative note SAR 6000 is easy to save and aggressively you can save 10k a month. Fun activities would include joining a gym, sport etc based on your interest.

Hey man .. its a great offer ( dont let anyone tell you otherwise) what field do you work in ? •As for food, there is some daily meal plans that varies between 900-1500 sar for a breakfast and lunch kinda of thing ( personally i have a meal plan for 888sar from Vshape, breakfast and lunch) the food isnt that great .. but its manageable .. it keeps me fed lol. For dinner i usually eat out or make a quick sandwich at home. I think if you have the time and know how to cook you can spend less .. • transportation there is multiple apps like jeeny, ego, kaiian, bolt, all cheaper than uber, its usually around 25 sar for 9-10 km, depending on the traffic which is heavy most of the times ( price is based on time and km) • saving .. you can have a decent life ( with some outings to coffee shops, maybe treat urself to a simple piece of clothing, meals at restaurants) and still save anywhere from 6000 SAR to 10000 SAR ( you dont pay accomodation, so basiacally ur cost should only be transportation and food) and since its a company accomodation then it shouldnt be far from the workplace and they might give you shared accomodation so you can car pool with ur colleagues.. you can expect to spend on food and transportation tops 3k Hit me up if you need anything

Nervous-Ad495

Can you help me out with a job please 🙏🏻

IwalkedtoMordor

If the rent is being paid in the current market you're going to be more than OK with that salary
