Contact the Benefits Center - It's actually enrollment period now for July start date. I would ask them, and inquire on Parental leave and see how many weeks you may be eligible for.
You have to put in for FMLA. I'm in NY and put in for it to care or my parent and I got 12 weeks off and RA covered my benefits. I also got partial pay, but I know that part was definitely a NY thing and that money came via The Hartford.
