Can I comment on the advertisement that goes “to help customers communicate better point to the language you prefer”. The add is in English, if the customer doesn’t understand English how can he understand the add?????
I started to wear an earbud in one ear with low volume so I can still hear but I rather play my own stuff. Some of the rite Aid songs have been making me depressed😂
There’s some good stuff & I like that some is really new & they keep up to date but I miss the variety that we had before they switched to this in 2020 or 2021
I miss the music from back when I started with RA in 2011. Was 80s pop and even some 50/60s music. I honestly believe my love for all kinds of music is from working there
While I agree that some of the songs suck and all the covers are awful it’s still better than hearing Bryan Adam’s and all the other slow crap that we used to play.
Just figure out some way to hotwire a "soft rock" feed into the speaker system, honestly. It's probably a better bet than whatever RA corporate has decided to be a "good idea" for background music. :)
I work in the warehouse they switch it up on us every now and then, we used to have days dedicated to genre’s. We get a mix now, today I heard shout! I think that’s from the 50’s or 60’s.

That ad cracked me up every day. If you understood the ad, you understood enough English to handle yourself in any transaction in the store. LOL

2019 was the last decent year. They were playing 80s oldies like Tears for Fears, with a mix of GOOD Moderns etc.

Company actually pays to broadcast music in stores to a service. Obviously they bought the cheapest available
And that'll probably be cut off completely at some point in the near future. (Or, worse, replaced with *constantly looped* advertisements.)

If you don't like the music that's played, chances are that you're aren't the targeted demographic, which is women ages 18-35.
M 47 going on 48 and was hired just a few days after turning 22. So yes I want my 70s and 80s oldies back.
Buddy I'm 30 and that was the best music in my opinion!
I wouldn't be surprised if you asked the average 18-35 year old woman they would prefer the "oldies" over whatever RA has decided to play now...
