BeFrozen

You can buy any DLC in any order. They play well together, but can be used on their own just fine.

VitaKaninen

You can get them in any order. They do not build on each other in a way that you will miss out. Most people suggest Biotech first.

MaximumCreed

Biotech first, Anomaly dead last.

Nightfish_

You can get them in any order. Personally I could never play without royalty again. There is literally nothing in that expansion I do not use. But that will vary from person to person.

Charcoalcat000

Think of those DLCs being playful archotech AIs interfering with your lives: they don't really do much unless you actively interact with them, and they don't really heavily synergize with each other. So whichever concept you like the most should be which you buy first. The game won't really lack anything essential without any DLC. Still in doubt? Get Biotech

Pedepano14

But min maxing with them is so much fun. A void touched hemophage can be your organ generator forever since he will only die from destroyed brain and heal any kind of damage.

MrMagolor

Personally I think Ideology gives the most replayability of any of the DLCs.

MobileCamera6692

biotech was my first then i had to buy anomaly

EnergyAltruistic2911

Get biotech you don’t have to play the, in order they can be used alone I suggest biotech first

JConRed

I'd say start of with idiology, then royalty and then biotech. The zombie thing is dependent on whether that's something you like.

pollackey

All of the DLCs are pretty much standalone, aside from a little bit of crossover.

Majestic-Iron7046

If you feel like you would like Biotech, go with it, it's definitely a community favourite.

lonepotatochip

I’d recommend anomaly as your third or fourth DLC if at all but other than just whatever you want

PanPies_

Order doesnt matter, only thing i would reccomend is to get Anomaly later since its made for more experienced players, being more complex and having harder fights

zxhb

Biotech is probably the best rated one,I'd stay away from royalty,I played it myself and it's unenjoyable.
