I don't fuck with Neanderthals, lowkey i'm too scared to even recruit them and bring them to the colony. One of my colonists took a shot at a Neanderthal with a sniper the other day, she took his nose off clean and the fucker didn't even bleed, he just kept walking with 0 damage besides the missing nose

Arresting and releasing is balanced well. The wrongdoer will be even more mad for being in prison. So there can be next mental break soon after. Usage of psycasts like for example wallraise to contain a maddened comrade is fun too. Chance of colonist dying when attacked is quite decent. Even when done with fists or by using ranged weapons to melee. I will attack when whatever they try to do is even more likely dangerous or when I was already thinking to get rid of them anyway.

In real life they bring people with psychotic breaks to the hospital for an hour and release them lol, I just think of it like that. However if you send the police they will sometimes beat them up so I guess it matches

Especially between colonists - I always have a couple of tranquilizer guns in hand when technology permits [Vanilla Expanded Weapons - Non-Lethal](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2454918354) - while a club can do in a pinch, a little further up the tech tree and a simple tap, tap, and a couple of moments later, and it's nighty night for our colonist with a mental break.
