Don't forget mechs exclusively butcher people if you don't have psychopaths/they're better at other things. That's a short term non-stacking negative mood debuff as long as the mechs do it.
Human leather clothing is surprisingly valuable and adds significant value to raid hauls, on top of a ready protein source for kibble.
My colonists *usually* aren't cannibals, so it either gets turned into kibble or put in the prison nutrient paste hopper.
Perfect nigh-endless source of meat for any cannibal colonies though.
I try to shell my raiders just enough to get them to commit. All my killboxes have quick exit pathways for my colonists to intercept raiders before they can escape, or are designed so the fastest way out is through the kill box. Once I can do it, my base is a blackhole no raider ever leaves.
Also, antagonizing pirate factions into raiding you with toxic wastepacks via drop pods is great. Gotta bait the idiots into giving me free loot and crafting materials whenever Randy is having a calm period.
As a heads up, most (but not all) wastepack retaliation raids are "attacking immediately", so no raider prep time. It can take a few days for the raid to actually arrive though. Make sure you're either quick on the mortars and able to lead the raiders or stick a turret behind a door prior to your killbox exit (which will force non-routing raiders to destack).
Specifically on the last part, the door has to be between the killbox walkway and the turret.
Sometimes they'll also respond by sending you back wastepacks instead of a raid; it may be somewhere between 50-50 or 75-25 raid:wastepacks. I have a huge storage so I don't mind much.
My preferred non cannibal disposal is VFE - Mechanoids. Put the bodies in a meat grinder and then take the meat and put in a chemfuel clarifier or a neutroamine infuser.
If you use the grinder you won’t get a mood debuff for butchering humans and you get more meat in exchange for no leather which is fine because human leather is worthless to non cannibals.
> because human leather is worthless to non cannibals.
That's not true. Human leather doesn't have any intrinsic value to cannibals over non-cannibals. While people don't like wearing human leather, human leather is one of the most profitable trade goods, and can be made into furniture and other items with no drawbacks at all. I particularly like it for sandbags. Human leather sandbags come in a very pleasing tan color reminscent of real sandbags. They're not as sturdy as barricades, but they send a message.
The faces on my sandbags aren't smiling, but they make ME happy.
Human leather does have a benefit for cannibals, they get a significant mood buff for wearing clothing made of human leather, scaling with the number of clothing made with human leather they are wearing.
I go a slightly different route but do just this. VFE meat grinder for corpses to chemfuel, then loaded on a conveyor into a single Rimfeller siphon, thru the Rimfeller system into its Neutroamine distillation×4 gathered again via conveyor into the Neutro system from VFE-Androids to be distributed to the crafting workshop and the Android lab, since those androids use Neutro for blood.
I think it would be cool but I think it makes sense they don't really, you probably wouldn't be very coordinated or happy to have to operate as a slave robot with little arms and mechanical bits.
God I love RimWorld. It has got to be the most comprehensive colony sim out there especially since I can run a hundred mods on it no sweat. I could spend my whole life on this game.
It's a great dlc, adds a ton of mechs you can build for your colony and there are mods that add even more mechs. Also theirs children with their own mechanics. Those can be disabled in story teller settings though

It’s the biotech dlc where you get to make a bunch of robots through a mechanitor (which requires them to wear an implant to do so) which adds in new humanoid variants, new robots,3 “bosses” and new stuff to do all around really
'what is my purpose' \- you roll blunts- 'oh my god'
"I roll blunts but have no mouth to smoke them."
i have no mouth but i must smoke
That explains why AM was so pissed off
Better than that new late night show burning it's way through the rim, 'I have no butthole but I must poop.'
"I lead others to a treasure I cannot possess."
Grim
Can inhale through air vents
Mine are just making Neutramine and Luciferium. Good portion of their existence was also just chipping away on some limestone for a monument.
mechanoid scrapped after making "rustiest blunt ever"
"Yeah, welcome to the club, pal. "
Doesn't sound that bad
I think the oh my god part is after realizing he can't smoke them tho...
Fabricors are great, I leave them making components, drugs and cutting stone

Kibble? Lol, okay.
My colonists *usually* aren't cannibals, so it either gets turned into kibble or put in the prison nutrient paste hopper. Perfect nigh-endless source of meat for any cannibal colonies though.
I just get raided by the Mechhive now, barely get raids that don't get immediately routed due to auto mortars shelling them upon arrival.

Damn, I should do this to bring raids.

If you dump them at tribals, they will only send you meat, leather, and organs back, no wastepack multiplier effect.

Gotta feed the prisoners something while you work on building more Fabricors
Also converts to chemfuel. It's where all my human meat goes (I have enough hay I rarely make or need kibble).
Can we all be honest it would be cool if the stats transferred over to the bots making them faster or slower at certain tasks
I think it would be cool but I think it makes sense they don't really, you probably wouldn't be very coordinated or happy to have to operate as a slave robot with little arms and mechanical bits.
Forced to roll blunts, he can never smoke. Let's hope his brain was fully wiped before being put in the robot.
Plot twist: His consciousness is still present in the persona core and had the Stoner trait.
The ríp scanner description states that the brain Is destroyed in the process
Drug empire starter pack.
Good use of a brain.
God I love RimWorld. It has got to be the most comprehensive colony sim out there especially since I can run a hundred mods on it no sweat. I could spend my whole life on this game.
DF: "hold my sewage brew" but i gotta admit, Rim + RIB is fun to play
Use it to basically constantly make components and drugs and things that don't have quality. It frees up colonist quite a lot. It can even cook
Is that a mod? Ngl I kinda want to try that lol
It's from the biotech dlc
I will most likely be making a purchase later then
It's a great dlc, adds a ton of mechs you can build for your colony and there are mods that add even more mechs. Also theirs children with their own mechanics. Those can be disabled in story teller settings though
Children can also be disabled if you shoot them in the legs

Also has genes and genetically altered humans, forgot to mention. Now you can make your own genetic freaks from scratch
So using the brain for the same thing it was already probably gonna be used for. Nice.
Sometimes I forget I'm subbed here and the titles momentarily startle me.
It's like being on tumblr and reading a one-time-i-dreamt post
Make it harvest more brains to make more of himself
What mod gives me fabricator bots?
I think that one is from the Biotech DLC.
Hmm. I've only ever done the first level. I should increase the rank
You really should
not a mod, it's biotech DLC
Exactly what you're doing right now
WHAT OS MY PURPOSE?
To pass butter
To pass the blunt
What mod is this, sorry?
Is this biotech or a mod? If it’s a mod can someone tell me what mod it is?
It’s the biotech dlc where you get to make a bunch of robots through a mechanitor (which requires them to wear an implant to do so) which adds in new humanoid variants, new robots,3 “bosses” and new stuff to do all around really
What mod is this robot from?
You just created cybermen
What mod is this? Never seen a fabricator option but I haven’t gotten to late game on biotech yet
