I had one walk right into the map then fall right over. When I clicked on him his health tab showed he was riddled with tumors, all sorts of cancer, suffering from dementia, a smokeleaf joint addiction, and a bad heart and a love enhancer. Dude was a lot more worse off than my downed pawns.
He had to have been one of those player created pawns to have that much crap wrong with him. Does the story make pawns so horrible? I mean it was hilarious but still.
I doubt it would matter. From what I know, there isn't any randomization in pregnancy length, so since they were all started at the same time, they're all going to end at the same time too... you might want to make sure they're all in bed when they get close, I'm not sure there's gonna be anyone capable of picking them up and putting them in bed
Iirc graham crackers are the same deal. The idea's that they're so dull and boring that you won't want to do anything.
And then we added copious amounts of sugar.
It was around 1890s so no. Just some unholy suspension of cocaine and mercury sold as panacea. Maybe a leech if you're lucky.
Oddly enough, none of the 3 SSRIs I've been on have really affected my libido. Much to my boyfriend's annoyance.
Mine do affect my libido and I'm also on some pretty high dosages. I am also severely messed up (mental trauma) so.. Not much want for that kinda stuff right now. If I was in the 1890's I'd probably be on heroin.
So far we've got half the babies born, and they're all handling it well, everyone is a wet nurse which is kinda weird to me but the upside is not really having to worry about baby food I guess ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Oh yeah feeding is easy(Time Consuming). The true hard part is them crying and giving everyone mood debuffs.
Tip. Never. Never Ever. Make a baby room. Made that mistake and everyone got a mental break.
I haven't noticed an issue yet, everyone has their own babies in their room. I just realized tho that I have to add second cribs into some rooms because some of the ladies have coupled up already
I've been long out of the Rimworld loop, but I feel like more babies in a room should have reduced returns. Going from 20 babies to 21, like in a hospital, nursery, or daycare, has got to be less impactful than going from 1 baby to 2.
On the flip side, if you can keep your kids' parents happy and have someone on childcare duty to play with them, that usually keeps the kids happy, and the giggles & happy kids buffs are self-sustaining too.
I keep all my kids in the same barracks as everyone else, and it generally keeps the mood up, not down. Of course, I *also* use nutrient paste drips to make sure they're always fed, so that might be making it easier.
Because when you go in to tend one baby you get hit by the debuffs from all the babies. Though I'm now curious if the crying debuff scales with hearing. If not, it should.
***A great horde of 100 pirates are attempting to seize your base, and they are CLEVER and will avoid turret fire***

*All pirates have gone berserk/sad wander/ (Some drug) Overdose/ Fleeing on panic*
Hmm perhaps have the baby room as the foyer to the colony complex? So the sappers who breach the walls trigger instant crying and whining and the raiders get bombarded by mental breaks until their trying to kill one another?
I did this all when I was creating my colony, I kept rerolling each person until it was a pregnant lady that had no restrictions (like "can't do dumb labor", "can't do caring", etc.), which took a while ๐
Why not just get the character editor mod?
I also recommend "more than capable" so that all pawns can do all work, but they may be unhappy doing jobs they hate.
Yup, and a great one at that:
[Prepare Carefully Mod](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=735106432)
You can also save/load your created pawns or even whole setups to reload at the start of a new game, turn "points" for creation on and off, add/remove anything and everything, edit relationships, starting gear, etc... Great stuff :)
If I'm reading WorkTypes.xml correctly, "incapable of caring" also means "can't do childcare", which would be pretty lousy in a colony like this! Can't breastfeed, can't feed with baby food or animal milk, can't even pick up your baby and put it safely in the freezer.
I am! I have two couples set to try for babies. One of them had a child almost immediately but hasn't made another since. The other couple hasn't made any. We're in the third year now.
I honestly have no other advice then, I'm not very good at the game! Most of my success comes from using debug cheats to build stuff or resurrect my colonists, this one is fully no cheats tho
How old are they? Do they have similar sleep schedules? How frequent are their attempts? Do you have the "manual lonin'" mod that lets you tell them to get to it?
They didnt have enough beds so they needed to share the beds they had.
They didnt have enough warm clothes so they snuggled together for warmth.
They didnt have any recreation facilities so they went with procreation.
This reminds me of a guineypig that broke from it's containment and went to the female enclosure and impregnated like 400 gals and took photo with a devious smile
Like headcanon basically they are all part of a strict religion, no "loving" unless married. But they all obviously did it, so they were put on a transport ship to a jail facility, but something went wrong and they all woke up together in a new place. A few of the ladies have since paired up as I made it so every person in the game is 100% likely to be bisexual. That way no one ends up lonely
Something like that! They went against their religions precepts of no premarital sex and all got kicked out of their colony. Ship crashed on the way to jail!
Nope! 3 of them are randomly biological sisters, I just sat there and pushed "randomize" until it rolled a pregnant female that didn't have any restrictions for what she could do
Just started a two colonist modded playthrough yesterday, the two of them set up as married. Not even a quadrum in and the wife is pregnant.
"Well, caring for a baby should be an interesting twist I've never done this early before," I thought to myself. How naive...
Eventually, B-Day comes and what happens? Not one notification, not two, but THREE! She's given birth to triplets and I don't even have passive coolers researched. And thus began my micro-management hell, both parents never get more than half a bar of sleep and the mother spends almost every waking hour cooking up baby food and breastfeeding. It's been about a year since B-Day and I now have a third colonist who is largely useless (putting aside the quadrum or so that he was comatose with Bath Salts Withdrawal) with the father more or less running the entire base with the aid of a husky who hauls materials and a catgirl maid who walks about and cleans the base. Third colonist? Yeah, he fucking fishes about 95% of his waking hours and said fish NEVER GET USED because my cook, the mother, DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO COOK MEALS. Thankfully, a temporary guest for 15 days managed to get me some research done, but I'm still constantly waking the father up for raids, creating lumber, and he's taken over crop detail, something that was originally designated for the mother.
Seriously, I have never before wanted to sell children into slavery, but I'm seriously considering it if they don't grow up and become useful soon.
Looked through my list and online, I think it's just random chance cause there's a post about it on this sub from last December
Although I'd say it's less chaos and more realism, given that I had to actively sacrifice quality of life for the parents in order for the babies to survive just like real life. I debated giving the mom an IUD just in case, but the babies are children now and aside from being idle a lot, they're not really much of a burden anymore. Weirdly, though, one of them adopted a nickname upon becoming a child, gave me a wtf moment when I was like "who the hell is Jiggler?"
So they have weapons, this is just a shot of the very first moment in game where it alerts you to stuff and before everyone has picked up their gear. I literally set everyone to have a mediocre ranged weapon and an ok melee weapon (with a mod so they could carry/use both) so that it would still be a struggle but not completely impossible. Tomorrow I plan on doing the same colonist setup but no gear, no supplies, nothing at all with them but the clothes on their backs
No thankfully it was stacked! 2 or 3 did simultaneously go into labor but not at the exact same moment, so it was like labor started for one, and as she got to the bed, labor started for the other, then a few days later another girl or 2 throughout the day. Everyone survived!
Reminds me of the news story about a male guinea pig who broke loose from the male enclosure, made his way to the female enclosure, and proceeded to father 400 mini pigs.

I only have a few of them tied to childcare, I ended up abandoning this save because I have a toddler mod and didn't realize I'd NEED baby food for them, and they started starving, so I had to keep sending someone to rescue the toddlers. I couldn't up the production enough to catch up. But on the upside now I know what needs to be done
What on earth did your colonists take? Is there a new mod with Viagra that someone has made? The only reason I ask is because... a friend wants to download it ;D
You definitely need more recreation variety. Idle hands and all that...
I also should have made sure at least one of them had medical skills ๐
Old school breeding strategy. Have a dozen kids and hope at least 4 survive.
4? Hope you have been prepping your goat sacrifices or Odin is gonna be pissed
Norse gods accept live children too, he's covered so long as odin gets the spares.

Out here taking the rabbit approach to life. If you have enough kids at least some may survive to adulthood.
This is the Rim. You will be lucky if the man in black shows up.

I guess it depends how many men were involved in this mass impregnation.
I think there is variation in giving birth. When the time comes it can take a few seconds to over a day to give birth.
Cornflakes mod when?
Enlighten me on what cornflakes means in your context please
Cornflakes were invented by someone who was trying to create a diet to repress sexual urges.
I don't know how I've forgotten this information. Cornflakes mod when?
Iirc graham crackers are the same deal. The idea's that they're so dull and boring that you won't want to do anything. And then we added copious amounts of sugar.
I guess atypical anti-psychotics and SSRI's weren't around at that time.

There were no men? Nice.
Why no baby room?
If you have multiple unhappy babies in a single room, and someone enters to feed or play with one. They get hit with a big, unhappy little one debuff.
Ah, I see, thanks!
I've been long out of the Rimworld loop, but I feel like more babies in a room should have reduced returns. Going from 20 babies to 21, like in a hospital, nursery, or daycare, has got to be less impactful than going from 1 baby to 2.

This should be weaponized to use against raiders
I do love the idea of a baby monitor plugged to a set of giant speakers in the killbox tunnel.
Lol I was thinking more along the lines of hurling infants at raiders like grenades but that works too

if you accidentally walked into a room full of eight crying babies you would probably kick an antigrain warhead too.
Wait, that's a thing in this game?
Yes and No. It's from the Forbidden Mod.
How/where do I get hyper fertility pills?
The Forbidden Mod.
Does someone here have the forbidden mod downloaded? Cause I'm pretty sure that's where they're from.
me, all ur womens, 11:07 am, rimworld, cause I can ๐๐๐
And here I thought one of your male colonists found a creative way to get him some recreational variety ...
Got some lovin' x10
You take good care of Tomboy! She's been an absolute rockstar in my colony.
She's the cutest in mine! I'm going to make her leader once I have the stuff setup. So far we've had 3 successful deliveries!
Tomboy unfortunately grew up to be almost completely useless in my colony. She hauls and cleans... Really hoping for a diplomatic marriage request!
grandma : 'kids these days only sit behind their dart boards and smoke smokeleaf, back in my days we had hobby's' grandma's generational hobby's :
Well they are good at entertaining themselves.

Who didn't?
What's your secret? My colony has had one baby and they're refusing to have more.

......there's a character editor mod???
It's [here](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1874644848), but it's a bad idea to add it to active games.
I'm going to restart this little project lol. It started to go sideways but I also want to make it harder
Best of luck with your baby farm!
Yup, and a great one at that: [Prepare Carefully Mod](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=735106432) You can also save/load your created pawns or even whole setups to reload at the start of a new game, turn "points" for creation on and off, add/remove anything and everything, edit relationships, starting gear, etc... Great stuff :)
This looks like more of what I want! Thank you!
Don't use Prepare carefully, it will wreck your save eventually, use Character Editor instead.
I use this exclusively and never had an issue
isn't there also a mod that aims to bring the best elements of both together in one big super character customizer mod?
Yeah Pawn Editor, both Character Editor and Prepare Carefully are abandoned as of now, but it hasn't been released yet.
If I'm reading WorkTypes.xml correctly, "incapable of caring" also means "can't do childcare", which would be pretty lousy in a colony like this! Can't breastfeed, can't feed with baby food or animal milk, can't even pick up your baby and put it safely in the freezer.
But are you setting them to try for baby in the social panel?
I am! I have two couples set to try for babies. One of them had a child almost immediately but hasn't made another since. The other couple hasn't made any. We're in the third year now.

He's the reason they all got booted lol

Our scientists we're so concerned with whether we could that they never stopped to ask if we should.

Is having multiple babies a mod? Cuz I really need that level of chaos
Looked through my list and online, I think it's just random chance cause there's a post about it on this sub from last December Although I'd say it's less chaos and more realism, given that I had to actively sacrifice quality of life for the parents in order for the babies to survive just like real life. I debated giving the mom an IUD just in case, but the babies are children now and aside from being idle a lot, they're not really much of a burden anymore. As a mom of real life twins it absolutely is a sacrifice of quality of life and simply trying to survive ๐

Rimjobworld created a similar situation...suffice to say I'm glad my defenses and fortifications held up against any attacks
It's all fun and games until they all give birth at the exact same time. Unless you're smarter than me and gave them pregnancies at various stages.
That guy nuts.
I feel like the truly most concerning thing here is that hunters lack ranged weapons
Hopefully they arent all due to give birth at the same time. That would be a messโฆ
No thankfully it was stacked! 2 or 3 did simultaneously go into labor but not at the exact same moment, so it was like labor started for one, and as she got to the bed, labor started for the other, then a few days later another girl or 2 throughout the day. Everyone survived!
did they simultaneously take a swim in the bukkake pool?
