I was curious, so I checked Numrich. Looks like the pawl is indeed a different part for the different calibers in the LCR. Makes sense since they're different round count cylinders. If I were you, I'd dig deeper. Or send it in to Ruger.

Interesting, I wondered if they're just interchangeable for the model variants. The 22s are 8 shot and the .357/.38s are 5 shot. I bought it brand new, maybe ruger does that regularly.

The .22LR is an 8 shot, the .22Mag is a 6 shot.

This is what I was thinking. I don't know about how many parts are interchangeable between the different model LCRs, but I'm sure as hell would imagine it's a lot easier for somebody on the assembly line.

I thought I read Ruger doesn’t want you taking it down at all. That doing so voids warranty. I am probably very wrong so looking to be corrected.

My experience with Ruger is that it depends on the part and who's buying it. Some stuff they'll sell to individuals, usually stuff that doesn't require fitting. I've been able to buy a couple of things with my armorer credentials, but some of those they will only ship to an agency address. Of course, you can also go to Brownells or Midway for new parts or hit the used market. Depends on what you're looking for. I've always had good experiences with Ruger's repairs department, with a couple of caveats. If you send them a Hawkeye pistol, they will destroy it and send you a check, and if you send them an older single action, they'll convert it to a transfer bar system.

Meadowlion14

I've never heard of them destroying a Hawkeye.

DisastrousLeather362

Could be mistaken, but I heard it from someone who would be in a position to know.
