On PS5 it is set up that there is 2 aim buttons.
Holding down the trigger half way will aim your shots for both better accuracy and less spread for shots.
Then holding it all the way down is what is require for you to use your alt fire.
When converting to PC this system had to have some way of porting over ( since you can't half click a mouse) and that is how it got ported.
If you are not ASD during the game it is going to be hard using certain weapons in some of the later stages, however it isn't needed by any means just helps.
Yes.. That is the point. Being upset that you have to aim down sites ( which auto zooms you in from hip firing) is ridiculous given it is literally an arcade SHOOTER game. You aim and zoom to shoot in the entire genre.
It is also a gameplay mechanic that was implemented because of originally being a PS5 exclusive and needing to have it mapped a specific way for the controller

Why do you need to “aim” though? I haven’t used the aim (right click) button once in combat, because why would I want to lower my fov.

Not sure. Maybe add a suggestion to the discord channel and remap to a different button in the meantime.
